Some reviews:
* The most anticipated feature, which was previously seen only by attendees at Comic Con. There are several key differences between this pilot and the broadcast version, including a subplot centering on a terrorist (which eventually evolved into the Sylar plot).
* More than just a handful of extraneous scenes reinstated for marketing purposes, this is actually a recut version by series creator Tim Kring. The changes are quite substantial, if something a mixed bag. Much of it worked for me, including an entire subplot involving terrorists that adds palpable tension, and an entirely new introduction for the character Sylar (with an entirely different actor!). Other changes were less welcome, such as snips to the Petrelli family relationship that I missed.
* The Tim Kring’s Cut is a 75-minute version of the pilot as originally conceived. Several things are different in this version than what aired. Most prominent is the setup of a storyline involving a terrorist responsible for the train explosion whose history crossed paths with policeman Matt Parkman. Other differences include Mohinder coming face to face with a silhouetted Sylar, Isaac Mendez cutting off his hand, and Parkman’s wife played by a completely different actress.
* You’ll be very surprised when you watch this unaired pilot because there are some very different scenes from what aired, including a different direction for the series. I saw this at Comic Con last July, and I was very surprised when I watched the pilot on TV. Time Kring provides commentary on the unaired pilot, and it’s GREAT!

Heroes is a great series, but it has gone down hill a lot… and each season/volume endings are so lame and disappointing… idk if i want to continue watching next season/volume or not… b/c i will only have my hopes up and then shatter at the end, like the two seasons/volumes so far…*sigh*

got an idea. people should pre-emptively give 5 or 6 fake spoilers. that way, no one that has not watched it will know which one is real.

“sylar dies. nikki is reborn after suresh gives her the serum… etc”
throw in some truths and half-truths, and it will be safe. of course, i follow the rule of not reading any comments until after i watch.

still. spoiler must die.
