posterAs rumoured on our new, recently failed to take over, irc channel, the R5 for Hellboy 2 was released. It’s the best version out there at the moment, because all the previous TS weren’t really great.. Have fun.

Plot: The mythical world starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth, so as Hellboy and his team returns they must save the world from the rebellious creatures. Now, as the creatures who inhabit the spiritual realm gear-up for an all out attack on the human plane, the only one capable of saving the Earth is a tough-talking hellspawn rejected by both worlds.

Quality: Check out the video sample. It looks OK for an R5.

EDIT: for the nuke questions: there are nukes going on about stolen audio. Atm: [ UNNUKED: provide.a.concrete.proof ]. We’ll see what happens, but the nukes don’t affect the quality of this release

    @20: The forum was said to be hosted and thus controlled by reeged or a friend of his, yet martin is in control of the rlslog.net domainname and now has not only removed the link from the rlslog.net mainsite but also disabled the forums.rlslog.net subdomain.     this release look fantastic……the audio is crisp and picture is brilliant.

    for the nuke situation, if the audio has been stolen there is no big deal on it……get it now so you have got a brillaint copy of it…..no need to wait for an unnuke version because this release is just as good

    scene rule say you don’t need a 2 cd release if the source is PAL 25fps and max 2 hours of video.

    The fairy tail creatures have their own language they speak sometimes, someone will have to type up a subtitle file, right now its not missing one because no one has made one up in English yet. there wouldn’t be and English subtitle in a r5 release.

    Ok, once and for all – WE NEED SUBS. People can quit asking about if it needs subs now… The underworld creatures speak some strange language, and it really should be hard coded into the movie(kinda like Jaba the Hutt in Star Wars).

    A ton of people have also said that it is NOT out of sync. I can’t agree, since I haven’t watched this release yet, but I’ll take their word for it.

    The beginning appears to be out of sync but just skimmed through it. Didn’t find any other places where it was out of sync. Yes there are places where they speak in another language and subs are needed to fully understand the plot. hope this helps.

    I’d hardly say the audio is “terrible” yes slightly tinny but definately acceptible. Great release i wouldn’t hold my breath for a better audio line anytime soon.

    Subtitles, put in same folder with movie. LOAD them with your media player, or add them to DVD. They’ll work.

    With convertxtodvd, just drag the srt in the project window and convert away..

    I’d say go with pukka. I’ve only checked the sample on optics and the video isn’t that much better and the audio is terrible compared to pukkas i think. Not sure about the subs though, I’ll prolly just take optics and sync them to pukkas

    Make sure the movie file and the sub file are in the same folder on your computer, and that they have exactly the same file name, for example:

    Hellboy.2.The.Golden.Army.R5.LINE.XViD-PUKKA.avi
    Hellboy.2.The.Golden.Army.R5.LINE.XViD-PUKKA.srt

    Then open the .avi file in wmp and make sure that the Subtitles option is on (Play > Captions & Subtitles > On if available).

    Go with pukka release..much better. Video and audio are great.

    Tried both pukka and optic versions….Optic video is negligible, if any improvement over Pukka; Optic audio is terrible!!!! (tiny,echo,garble)

    Pukka subs (.srt) work fine…match Creature audio!

    Repeat…get Pukka version!

    Although there have been problems with Audio this is the best Audio out of all the other releases (-DREAMLIGHT and -OPTIC), so if your going to get anything get this one as it seems to be the most decent for an R5 release.

    Quality is good, audio is choppy in some parts and there is no audio/video for about 5 sec at the start.

    Much better than any TS out and I believe the best r5 out too.
