posterSorry for the delay on the new post. I mentioned the proper in the first post, together with the notice that I would make a new one. Well here it is. Proper by OPTIC, 2 CD version. Image quality is probably better, but a lot of people say that PUKKA’s release has better audio.

Plot: The mythical world starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth, so as Hellboy and his team returns they must save the world from the rebellious creatures. Now, as the creatures who inhabit the spiritual realm gear-up for an all out attack on the human plane, the only one capable of saving the Earth is a tough-talking hellspawn rejected by both worlds.

Quality: Check out the video sample. Audio probably less good as PUKKA.

    If you ahev the Pukka one dont bother with this it is just as bad in the sound department. Apparently has subs for non English parts but are they worth twice the size of file???

    @ PT me and my friend both saw the samples of all three versions for this movie and both of us agreed the iapula release is the best one out so far.hope this helps.

    Feel free to ignore the following rant/vent:

    Seriously, is it worth releasing a screwed-up rip and damaging your reputation as opposed to sitting down for 120 minutes to watch the movie you just ripped and check everything is in sync? The reason Diamond has a great reputation is because he does this more than most, not because everything he touches turns to gold… he’s just not an idiot. I’d much rather hire a typist at 80WPM with 100% accuracy than 120 WPM at 90% accuracy. That 10% counts, and its friggin’ annoying when I might as well go watch some dubbed kung-fu movie, the lips-to-speech ratio is that accurate!

    I know its free so before people post stfu, I appreciate and give thanks for free gold coins, but not chocolate coins in gold wrappers. Give us what you say you’re providing, or let someone else do the job properly. The amount of OOS releases I’ve d/l from Releaselog in the last six months is a joke. I’m now waiting 12 hours, and checking vdcq before touching releases because I’m tired of it. The worst ones are where nobody mentions problems, so thanks to those who both to come back to the post (like I shall do in a minute with Miss Conception (gf watched it, OOS)) and let us know there is something wrong with it.

    Jeez. How friggin’ hard can it be to check your work. Obviously no-one doubles as a scene ripper and an accountant.

    pfffffft. I’ll wait for the REAL FINAL PROPER

    iAPULA RLS is a combination of PUKKA audio and OPTIC video as far as I can see.
    iAPULA is way out of sync though so I wouldn’t bother – OPTIC audio is pretty bad.
    PUKKA is definately the best of the lot…

    tried watching this in theaters after TDK & i walked out after 20 minutes… it didnt seem bad but i think it was because i had just watched TDK & its not comparible to that…

    Why proper? Well there are couple of things
    that went wrong on the first TDM rls:

    1.the subtitles was a little bit ahead of dialog,
    so we put another subtitles brought to us by
    http://www.subs.ro & AMC, Ebo,
    Lovendal & Starhawk ST.

    2.we’ve got a proper audio source.

    A note to optic, we have had audio suppliers before you even joined the p2p scene and will have long after. We can also provide the raw audio for ANY part of the film. Also we suggest you actually use someone who has a firm grasp of the English language if you wish to provide subtitles.     extract until you get an *.srt file then place in same folder of movie( make sure the filenames are the same ie blah.avi and blah.srt) and also make sure you have a player or codec that handles subtiles like vlc media player or vobsub for wmp

    Just finished downloading the PUKKA release, checked 32 points of the film, and the sound is fine, and in sync. Picture looks great to me on the monitor, so I’m happy with this version. You can grab the subs as a further download, posted everywhere. So, for those wondering which of the 5+ versions to grab which are floating around now, I’d give a thumbs-up to PUKKA’s. :D

    I watched the entire Hellboy.2.The.Golden.Army.R5.LINE.DVDR -DREAMLiGHT and the sound is very good and in synch, the subtitles are not hard coded and are accurate. The file is an image of the dvd with subs included.

    @163 sucmnsee ,the devise copy (Hellboy.2.The.Golden.Army.R5.LiNE.XviD.iNT-DEViSE ) is not out of sync and subtitles r included.its written in the nfo. i have downloaded it and watched ,its perfect . if its out of sync for u its probably cause ur playing it with a crappy media player or u dont have the codecs (AC3 codec) installed.

    Thanks I think its pretty good pictures good (on my 28″ CRT Tv) The sounds not the best I think it’s mono and lacks a bit of bass, but a quick tweek of the knobs and it’s ok. Will probably download again when there is a proper dvd rip but thats just cos it’s a brilliant film (of it’s type).
    P.s it does have subs for the non-english bits.

    so far I seen Kingben’s and the now release STG’s. as it stands STG’s has the best audio I’ve heard so far(I believe it’s pukkas just remastered) and KingBen’s has the best video quality. Have not seen dreamlights yet.

    The dreamlight version is definately the one to get. If you can take the 4.5Gb that is. Its worth it for this kind of movie in my opinion. Now only waiting for Indiana Jones, The Dark Knight, The Incredable Hulk, Ironman and X-Men 4. God I love comic book movies when they are done right.

    Does anyone ever adjust there equalizer settings when playing back a movie (eg Soft Rock to Ska)?

    It’s the first thing I do – depending on the person doing the ripping and their taste in music it can make a lot of difference. If their setting is Ska and they have blocked hiss which is audible in that setting the it is relevant NFO surely?

    Would like to see it on the NFO – playback should be on Techno setting.

    I just watched the Iapula version and both the video and audio quality were perfect. I used the Pukka subtitles with it and it was in sync with the picture. So if you like to see this movie this is the way to do it.

    I downloaded Pukka’s and STG’s and I enjoy STG’s better but too bad the subtitles are hardcoded and are large subtitles while pukka’s subpack is smaller.
