If someone ever thought that the epoch of Quentin Tarantion is over, he was terribly wrong: a new movie Hell Ride brings back the old good filming style and awesome soundtrack. If you’ve seen Wild Hogs, think about unrated version of that movie with sex and violence and you will get the idea about Hell Ride, Although the rating at IMDB isn’t super high, most people find the movie very good so you should give it a try as well. Quality is standard 1 CD.

Larry Bishop stars as bad-ass biker Pistolero, (named after the original title for Robert Rodriguez’s Desperado) who along with The Gent (Michael Madsen) and Comanche (Eric Balfour), hit the road to avenge the death of Pistolero’s old lady Cherokee Kisum (Julia Jones), by the 666ers, a rival motorcycle gang. Vinnie Jones and bike riding legend Dennis Hopper star as members of the satanic biker gang the 666ers.

    imdb scores and especially rotten tomatoes mean SH!T, someone who really is into movies already knows that

    ..oh and by the way, “the dark knight” got 9.9 on imdb it wasnt even half that good “batman returns” was, just MY own opinion so i am afraid all you overhype-hypnotized muppets have to live with that

    if Dark Knight is 9.9 based on collective scores, that implies that most people liked it. There are of course people who dont. But you cant say a movie that got 5 good reviews out of 53 was liked by most people.

    Does the math make sense? I wasnt making a personal judgement on this movie as I havnt seen it, but at least I can do math.

    @18 yaz ,actually majority of people dont like these kind of movies (exploitation genre) ,but i do .this a gritty exploitation film .to quote a comment from IMDB so people who havent seen any movies of this genre know what to expect – “Its a revenge tale, and an excuse for lots of mayhem and carnage to take place. Again, if you want a gritty, rough around the edges exploitation flick, I do not know what else people are expecting. The story serves its purpose, and keeps the audiences entertained for the hour and a half it plays out. The dialogue does get a bit overly cheesy at points, but that really only adds to the charm of this absurd film- it’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you puzzle, but I never found any lines to be so distracting that I could not enjoy the film.

    So see it if you know what you’re getting into! There’s a hell of a lot of violence, far far far more nudity, disgusting language and a good amount of despicable anti-heroes. For the type of film that it is, it is very well done and very entertaining! I heartily recommend it for a good, demented time at the movies. I only wish it’d get a wider release, Im lucky I got to see it at all!

    Thanks for this! I really liked Madsen in Beyond The Law. I know he typically plays the same character in every movie, but, he’s great as a lawless biker. Even as a pudgy lawless biker. :) I’ll enjoy it for what it is.

    this is one of the best moviez of 2008 so far..
    forget the dark queer.

    this movie is directed by larry bishop and its a masterpiece..
    if you like tarantino’s old work, you will love this…
    bishop already directed a movie once, “mad dog time”, it received poor reviews as well, has hardly have a wikipedia article and this fat f*ck critic robert egbert gave it 0 stars. but imho it was a great and funny movie as well..

    so if you don’t feel yourself being part of those mainstream queers, just watch this awesome movie.. peace.

    Seriously, the movie sucked, and I am not trying to be unfair, the movie really sucked. It´s low budget, it has bad acting, apart from Madsen and David Carradine and it´s just a wanna be Tarantino rip off, but can´t cut it. Actually it´s an insult to mention this movie in association with Tarantino.
