CRD have just released the latest version of this really handy program that will find duplicate files that you have on your PC then you can choose to delete them if you want.

dupeGuru is a tool to find duplicate files on your computer. It can scan either filenames or contents. The filename scan features a fuzzy matching algorithm that can find duplicate filenames even when they are not exactly the same. dupeGuru runs on Windows and Mac OS X.

dupeGuru is efficient. Find your duplicate files in minutes, thanks to its quick fuzzy matching algorithm. dupeGuru not only finds filenames that are the same, but it also finds similar filenames.

dupeGuru is customizable. You can tweak its matching engine to find exactly the kind of duplicates you want to find. The Preference page of the help file lists all the scanning engine settings you can change.

dupeGuru is safe. Its engine has been especially designed with safety in mind. Its reference directory system as well as its grouping system prevent you from deleting files you didn’t mean to delete.

Do whatever you want with your duplicates. Not only can you delete duplicates files dupeGuru finds, but you can also move or copy them elsewhere. You can also easily weed the bad duplicates out, thanks to the Power Marker.

    Spot the difference. He was getting at the fact that the latest release is 2.7.2, not 2.7.0.

    Please don't tag apps as Mac without naming a Mac release, just because the info from the app's homepage happens to mention OS X. dupeGuru may well run on Windows and Mac OS X, but CRD's WinAll release obviously only runs on Windows! The only Mac release I've found is "DupeGuru Music Edition v5.3 MacOSX UB" but that's from way back in 2007, so no idea what version it must be up to by now.

    Hmm, running the Keygen through virustotal shows a good number of reports of a worm contained in the keygen. The application looks clean but I would be cautious in running the keygen

    Sophos anti-virus reports 'keygen infected with Mal/Generic-A'.

    Can anyone who has installed this app without problems confirm that this is a false alarm?

    I tried running this because I know it would free up some space , but it tagged all files that are the same size as dupe files? I can't seem to find a setting on how to turn that off and only match duplicates of the same file name? Anyone know why its matching same file size as dupes?
