So yea this title was already released by PROCYON a while ago as a clone. Well RELOADED are back again for the second time tonight with the cracked version. Standard release really so download if you like what you see.
Description: The planets of Earth and Arkanar were once very similar, and for centuries their people shared both history and friendship. After a terrible war between the planets, the two societies split apart and lived a secluded existence. While Earth prospered and grew, Arkanar became strangely stagnated. This stagnation is shrouded in mystery, with Arkanar barely evolving and remaining rooted in a medieval society. During this time Earth continued to evolve, mastering incredible technologies. Intrigued by the situation of their former patriots the Empire decided to send in a secret agent
Features:
- The combat system features many different combos and special attacks (stunning, disarming, etc.) provided by some abilities and special weapon types.
- As player controls only the main character. The rest of the party is managed by orders.
- The volunteers traveling with the main character can obey or disobey orders depending on the form the order was given in (strict order, persuasion, intimidation, etc.), while the mercenaries will obey any order given in the proper form.

As for the game, it’s not a masterpiece but it’s surely fun for hours. I liked it. It’s a gem in those “no game is coming out” times.
I have a feeling that this will be one of those games ppl will absolutely love or or absolutely hate, with no grey areas.

As far as I can tell the crack doesn’t work. It’s still asking for the DVD… Mounted… Unmounted it doesn’t appear to work. If anyone gets it please tell how you did.
Nvm forget that I managed to get it. Apparently you cannot use “Extract to” in UltraISO to copy the crack… Works now!!!

how I fixed it, I opened the modules folder in my virtual drive and copy/pasted the dll directly to the other modules folder, rather than dragging the folder over and it seemed to work…not that it shouldn’t have worked the other way
O.k guys. I’ve just found out the problem.
if you make a “backup” to the original files (like I always do) you can’t leave the backed-up files in their original folder. you just need to place them out of the game folder and then the game works

Crack works but you need to remove the TBB.dll file from the module folder.
The original TBB.dll file that is, not the cracked.

This game works on Vista. I have the Ultimate Vista and I can play without any problems. Just run the exe as administrator, even if you are administrator of the system.

Shack is right, you need to remove the original TBB.dll from the modules folder, even if you renamed it!

forget this game, its a waste of time. lots of errors coming up, the crack simply doesn’t work. blablabla.dll missing in modules, although i copied the cracked files and deleted the existing ones.

for those of you who like to keep the original files…
i understand that vista runs the first file with a close name to what is needed, so for example, you renamed TBB.dll to TBB1.dll, it will find TBB.dll first, try renaming it to 1TBB.dll instead, and reply back if that works for you.
(personally, i would use TBB_orig.dll or orig_TBB.dll)
you should not have any problem with this kind of thing in XP.

Works perfectly, but it seems to stutter due to the crack, resolution limited to 12xx x 1024 tho. The game itself is fun, the combat reminds me of mount and blade, especially the horse combat which is identical to mount and blade(sword wise, never tried bow).
You can increase statuses and earn perks, the combat is by left clicking to attack and not click an wait, you can’t just spam left mouse as you need stamina, with not stamina your character runs out of air and need to recover until he can attack. You can have shields and it seems you can dual wield.
As ShadowWolf (#58) said, the main quest is broken pretty early on, and it is at a part of the game where you’re not allowed to save either. We will probably need to wait ’til retail date for a patch to be able to play this game beyond what was avaliable in the demo.
Running Vista, didn’t work.
Whenever I copy over the AWE.exe, and try to run it, it gives an error.
Don’t tell me I didn’t do it right. The cracked files are copied over, and the originals are gone. It’s just not working.

@70. Yup I got into the city and the subs beyond that and still couldn’t save. Spent a good 3-4 hours going around and getting things done and still couldn’t save? Sorry but it’s not worth the time until they can fix that one. My only save is an autosave on the 2nd map and that’s all that works.

RAM 1GB, display card is nvidia 6800 and the game runs quite smoothly, except the 1-2 secs-freeze to open loot menu.

Played the demo….game looks nice… There are some user interaction flaws that some could find annoying (confirming the the dialogue line chosen, the noticeable delay when opening chests, delay when showing tooltips, description on some items is pretty vague), besides that it looks like a good game… Worth downloading
You can change the resolution manually by editing the ini file in the profile once created.

I still can’t make the game to work. It always gives me an error when I try to start it. I tried different cracks, without success. The 4gb version has an MDF image which must be mounted as vIDE drive, and no crack should be used, but it fails in the same way. Any ideas? Is it a crack/protection, or the game itself? I suspect it may have to do with resolution, mine is 1440×990

this game SUX, who know what else is not working.
First, for the guy who cant get this to work, if you have a strange resolution, try changing it directly in ./TBB/HardToBeGod.ini. In my file i had to correct the typo (g_height).
For those who cant save (I couldnt either), open the file I talked about above and enable the console (g_console 1), pull the console in game (In my keyboard its the key left to the 1), and type “map_save NameOfTheSave” without the “”.
You can also enable developer mode in that file and uncomment the binds at the end for rather strange results (access to all the game quests, items, relations, etc…), use “list” for a list of all commands.
Finally, if you want to enable the cheats edit the file awe.ini and add “g_cheats 1″ (can do that in the console too) but the only cheat I found was “god 1″.

got it, played it a bit. unfinished. missing all cutscenes or something, story is all messed up and doesnt make sense. chunks of dialouge missing, huge areas where you cant save, broken quests. This is a leak but game is DEFFO NOT RELEASE READY!

@86. map_save did nothing for me but game_save did right up till I meet the monks again. I don’t know why but hitting that point just breaks the game for me and everyone else looks like. I mean is anyone able to save past that cutscene? I’ve been going through the list to try and skip them but nothing working so far. Going to try kill_ent and pray. Oddly you can type game_save (without the ) and you get no error when in the monk camp so it’s still disabled even through console.
I too have been trying to get this game to save past the monks. Now it seems that *any* cutscene breaks the save function. Damn shame, because this game was shaping up to be pretty cool.
I have solved the save problem! It’s about crack. Game’s protected with modified Tages protection, so they could missed something, when they were making a cracked exe. Anyway, all you have to do, is to download a mini-image from gamecopyworld and mount it in Damon Tools Lite 4.12

TargeT (#91) Excellent find man. So far so good. I did a fresh install, and am now using the mini image from Gamecopyworld. Had to start a new game but just hit the Monk prisoner pen. I just saved my game inside of it, and notice there was actually subtitles now with the cutscene of the main character walking with the monks. Still need to make it to the Northern outpost and see if that part is fixed.
Mini-image doesn’t work for me. The game doesn’t recognise a dvd.
Never mind. It was because I had two conflicting versions of daemon (pro & lite).
Oh, any1 find problem that FPS drops dramatically in the 3rd map? The map after escaping from the Monks.

It’s not a bug, it’s incomplete TAGES crack. TAGES tends to break things when it recognises you arent using the original.

Actually, Keso (#109), I’m getting that problem now myself. I had it up and running fine, fresh installed and then mounted the image and got in game. Played all the way to the 4th map, then decided to save and go eat dinner. Now when I try and do it I get the problem with the awe.exe. I tried reinstalling and copying my saved game stuff back in, but still get the error. Going to try a completely new install without my old saves.
Jon (#108) I used IDE mounting. I don’t know if it’s a “must” but I did it to clear up the old cracked exe and .dll. Like I said above, having a problem with the game, going to see if I can reinstall and then figure out what folder I can copy back to keep my saved games. After that I’ll make a post on exactly what I did.
Alright, quick update here…really weird. Did a fresh install, made sure to delete old profiles. Mounted the mini with DT Pro (IDE) all emulation on. Comes up “Please insert HTBAG DVD”. I turn all emulation off just for the hell of it, get the awe.exe error and it shuts down. I give her one more attempt and she goes. I didn’t have my saved games though, so I’m going to try and re copy those back over now and give it another shot.

Thanks ShadowWolf (#111).Shortly after posting I tried and I got the AWE.exe error. I started downloading Daemon 4.12 to give it a shot but while downloading I tried running the game again and it worked!
Try more than once after mounting it in DTpro (IDE). Hope its just touchy and after a few runs works fine.

That guy who said to update your DirectX distribution was correct. It solves the problem I was having of the “Can’t Found IGAME_TBB” error. So I confirm this solution as working.
Oh yeah, the Direct X updates are in the DVD of the game.
ok guys forget about the mini image just use the procyon clone with daemon tools pro 4.10 or above and mount in ide then import your saved profile from the reloaded release and u can save just fine

So can anyone confirm that you can get past the suburb mission? That mission where you have to get past that military-checkpoint.
Murrey I’m now IN Arkanar, so yes, I made it past the checkpoint. I’m not sure what to tell you, this game and mini image seem to be really hit or miss. I did manage to get it working again with my saved games. I wish I could give you all the exact method to get it working, but it seems it’s different for everyone.

As ShadowWolf (#58) and Shael (64) said the only trouble i got is that after the shore landing when u got arrested by the monks the simply doesnt let u save teh game i got pretty far anyway…but eventually you die GRRR and u cant save its some kind if bug…I was enjoying the game…grrrneeds an official patch?
First off I have newest DT tools pro 4.10.0218 and none of the options work for me, it says put in the dvd.
With reloadeds lame crack it seems some video cuts out and the save option does indeed not work after the monks capture you, this leads to yet another glitch with the don which is not passable (he just stands there like something was supposed to give you a quest but never does.. and no save option exists)
Comparing this to arcanum is pure madness btw… this game while seemingly fun is very shallow and battle just licks, I hope they fix this soon or at least before it hits the states (perfect example of why demos suck and dls are good)

this game sucks. i got stuck on the side of the road just outside the fort at the beginning. i was on my horse and i couldn’t move even though it was running. apparently i was on a log. i got off the horse and i ended up inside the horse and was stuck as well.
either they fix this bug or make the horse easier to control so i wouldn’t end up on the side of the road.
Im aware pyrocons version works thats not the point in getting the reloaded to work. And as someone said they had the pyrocon and it was still not allowing saves or getting past the don.. idk who to believe anymore..
Dont worry about lame bugs ATM like the horse.. jesus the game isnt even really out yet so just wait for proper patch and or crack or help with a workaround. sheesh. tages is able to be bypassed, anyway to get reloaded to work lemme know, this game isnt worth the 4gb

It’s quite simple to make this game works, as someone already told but some people obviously are lazy and didn’t read.. so here is what you need to do in order to make the game run without any error/bug (including not being able to save, talk to people, etc..)
1. Download Hard To Be A God-RELOADED torrent.
2. Download DAEMON Tools 4.12 Lite (Note: Must be 4.12).
3. Download the “Hard to be a God [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed Image” from GameCopyWorld.
4. Install the game. **DO NOT USE ANY CRACKs NOR SUBSTITUTE ANY FILE!** (This is important, you just need install the game, that’s it).
5. Install DAEMON Tools 4.12 Lite.
6. Mount the NS-HTBAG_SS-POSEDEN.MDS Mini-Image in DAEMON Tools 4.12.
7. Play the game.
About DAEMON Tools 4.10 Pro conflict with 4.12 Lite, here i got both installed and didn’t get any error, the game still works if you mount the image using the 4.12 version.
Well, that’s it, i hope it helps, iam playing for a long time and till now i din’t get any error using the Mini-image.

Oh, and i forgot to mention..
If you already installed and cracked the game, you will have to reinstall it in order to make the game work properly (you can keep your savegames and put them back in Profiles folder after you reinstall).
So, you have to mount the Mini-image and play the game with ‘clean installation’ (without crack)
Other thing, i just got an ‘AWE.exe error’ when i mount image and try to play game so i noticed that it was a firewall problem, it was blocking everything, so you might need to create a new rule to both the game and daemon tools.. or simply turn off firewall if you have the same problem as i had.. =)

I subliminally stated that thats not a true fix, u wuss. its just a workaround because the game apparently has problem trying to save.
actually I’ve been playing the game for over 1h and it seams to work just fine, after applying that method you should have no problems saveing. This is a buged pre release anyways so don’t expect perfection until a ton of serious patching has been applied to it.

Ive done everything shy of installing 4.12 because I know that wont work if the rest hasnt,
as for the save fix it worked for a second then went back to its non save state only to have me not be able to save it anywhere past the monk capture. I can use no clipping to pass the don part but this doesnt save the game lol.
as for the future of the videos and such this is one of the worst reloaded releases.

Still the game wouldn’t start. Changed the resolution to lame 1024×768 from 1440×990 and no positive effect. The game tries to load but crushes with Windows (not the game loader) error.

What windows you are using? In Vista you might need to open the game as administrator..
Did you made any change on the “HardToBeAGod.ini” file besides changing resolution before entering the game? That could corrupt the file i dunno, if yes you can try unistall and install again, dunno =(
Uncheck’ing ‘Read-Only’ the Profile worked… for a sec… Then after the next CG, it’s changed back to ‘Read Only’ again. And when I Alt-Tab out to uncheck it, the screen became black and so couldn’t save.

Great this is getting us nowhere, please dont post that the pyrocon release works here, we know that version works go spam that torrent. The point of this adventure is to get the 1.4gb reloded ver to work. God such idiots. Oh well, installing this games gives so much crap, and I’m not even sure that it would install if I buy it. So far by looking at different forums many gamers who actually bought the game, they have the same problems.. so I’ll wait for the patch I guess

Tried the daemon tools mount ( 4.12 ) worked once but not again
So I went to gameburnworld.com – downloaded the crack there
- saved my profile
- reinstalled the game
- applied the gameburnworld crack
- pasted in my profile
- all good – the cut scene with the don works – I actually know what he’s saying and what to do next – and I can save both quicksave and normal save

the problem lies within the image, posersiden seemed to make it so it only works sometimes.
After much fuss I have indeed found how to sort of make it work
any ver of DT .. lite pro.. just make it 4.10 pro or 4.12 dt or later (havent tried on all versions just 4.10 pro and 4.12 pro and 4.12 standard and lite, it worked on all of them.
install game
mount poorly made mini image, unless this crack from gameburnworld is for real. if so get that, screw all the other stuff.
make sure emulation settings are ON, I tried 50+ times both ways and on works best.
If you get the awe.exe error your on the right path, if you get the insert dvd your not.
What you do is, right when you get the error open the game again. If you get the error… open it again. And again. And again. Just make sure you only have one copy of the game running or a message will popup saying another copy is running already.
This is the same sorta thing we had to do on earlier protections where you could open taskmanager, run the games exe, see the spinning cd, kill the exe (keeping the spinning cd) run the games exe again and goof the program into thinking it was a cd.. how great right
Anyway hope this helps anyone.. you DONT NEED PYROCONS 4gb crap!!there is no perfect clone for something with this kind of protection, only emu

This is getting very frustrating cause the game’s not that bad – sort of gets you involved
I got the save games to work again and i’ll pass on how but i have no idea of how it worked only that it worked
- i copied the modules folder from the original reloaded iso into the program files
- i then used daemon tools to mount the image from gamecopyworld but i kept the exe file from gameburnworld
- i started the game at last save – North Arkanar
- the cut scene of the burnt building finished
- and i could save games again
I dont know how or why this works – i’ve checked and restarted the game at least 3 times and can still save so looks like i get to play a little longer – maybe till the next cut scene

I’m most of the way through this thing. This game is phenomenal. I haven’t been this excited about a game in ages. It’s like reliving Baldur’s Gate but with a friggin rail gun and regenerative nanotech armor. And the best part are the disguises. Most of my inventory is taken up by the disguses for various factions, and I love baiting groups of enemies into fighting each other. The best part, the plot, is really engaging, really pulls you in and doesn’t let you go.
If anyone wants to look at the source material–this game is based on a book by the same name written in the 60s by the Strugatsky brothers. A really famous piece of work in the history of sci-fi.

2. Install Game
3. Copy crack contents into the game Directory.

Well as some already said the game seem to bug after the meeting with the monk ; even if u stay that you will teach them a lessons to battle occur … and you cant save either probably something wrong with the quest
There are a number of console commands related to saving, including g_disable_load_save but playing with it doesn’t clear the block on saving.
And forcing a save from the console seems to work but it doesn’t appear in the list of saved games.
The mini image does work. I managed to finish the game using just that. Every time i started the game i had an error then I just tried starting it again and it worked. I’m using daemon tools pro 4.10 with rmps on.
just like I said, just keep trying the exe until it runs.

The crackfix solved the saving problem and I got by Don Tamoe without problems and could save.
However, when I load a new area I get a TBB.dll memory problem instead wich makes the game end. Sure, there is autosave when the area changes but I have to alt tab and click on OK on the little box which informs me of the problem, and then restart the game every single time it happens.
On the other hand, waiting another 2 months for an official patch isn’t very thrilling either.
Anyone else who have encountered the same problem with the crackfix?
Any Pointers about how to get into the besieged castle of count nox?

…well i checked the woods in the west, the swamps in the east the monk camp the bandit camp and the grey camp…then killed everyone to check them for keys, or see if the siege would end. Then i found two paintings (special items) and a locked chest and got seriously worried i encountered another bug. I have to say just going over that goddamn bridge is less tedious.
Yep, loading from the first area to the second locked up. I tabbed out and it was saying there’s a memory exception or something in the TBB.dll file. Do we now need a crackfix-fix?
This “crackfix” seems to have issues of its own. Getting memory exception errors when trying to load new maps once in the game.

^use your power attack. It’s not hard. At that point, my power attack was doing 1064 damage. One hit, one kill.
Switch between power attacks too. Use one while the other is recharging.
for all people stuck on the boar quest..
dress as a thief and kill 2 pampa’s guards on the left side of the map. near the boar spawning place. They kill 1 or two boars every time the hunt starts so you’ll have to kill them
first so you’ll be able to kill all the boars and to ocmplete the quest.

I was using the dual wield high-tech swords that you find in your uncle’s castle. The one that increases your light weapons skill by 1. I have it modded to 55 base damage, maxed out light weapons (10+1=11), and got the level 10 power attack. The basic attack does 110 damage, the light power attack does 653, and the super power attack does 1064. You can tool most enemies almost instantly by chaining the power attacks together.
I prefer the dual wielding blades because they have a tougher power attack than the regular light blades, and they make your character advance forward as you’re swinging, making you very difficult to hit. You can practically circle strafe if you do it right.
People who have trouble with the piggy hunt are just not using their weapons effectively.
Oh wait, I got that wrong. You get that sword shortly AFTER the boar hunt. I’m not sure what weapons are available beforehand, but if you have a weapon in the 35 base damage range, you should be able to do like 700 damage in a single hit and still kick ass in the hunt. Just remember to max out a weapon skill so that you can get the advanced power attack.

After an unclean uninstallation by just deleting installed gamedir i am unable to reinstall the game. Starting installation it shows “Application is already installed!”

Since it seems that there are still issues even with the fixed crack,I advise using the maxi image from XKVTOR (already on gamecopyworld).I personally tested it with DT PRO 4.10 (IDE Drive) and ran the game twice without getting any errors,although I didn’t play more than a few minutes!

I personally use the mini-image method. It seems from the other reports in this post that the crackfix still has kinks to be worked out. The mini-image will probably work best.

Pampa-Boar-Hunt: I used my horse to gather 3-6 pigs and then slaughtered them with my special attack. You take quite some damage if you make mistakes, but it is fast. Having 15 Diplomacy early on might have helped too

Don-Piku’s- Son-Rescue: I had the same bug there and did the whole rescue again which solved the problem (Don Piku welcomed me with a scripted event).
No way to beat Pampa’s quest. How many pigs do we have to kill? because I have killed all of them (13) within 10 seconds left, and still says that I am not prepared.Please Help.

The game seems to refresh the scripts on load? Quick save>Quick Load seems to fix it while standing near Don Piku. I can finally move on. <– This will probably work with similar bugs in the game also.
I’m bored with boars….i’ve killed the guards (the 2 huntsmen)…killed the boars and now when i talk with Pampa he still say me the same thing that i’m not in good shape, if i restart the mission there are no more boars on the screen, i’ve already killed them all.
Now what i’ve to do?
There is a bug in the boar quest. I went off to do other things to raise my character level (less boars that way). I killed all 7 boars in under a minute, but kept getting the “not in shape” message. Don’t reload the game, just do the hunt a couple of times more and the bug seems to fix itself. I got the success message after the 3rd hunt.
But the problem is that there are no more boars too kill…

273: Kill all the greys, then the entrence to the castle is on the backside of the castle. Go around in the forest and you’ll see a small path with stuff you can walk across on into a breach in the wall.

Hi, I wanna ask how to “HEAL” your horse?
Just leave horse for a while, he’s going to heal himself…
Now, I got a major problem…I’ve been to tournament in Hiccup forest, and now I have to go to Piku and Turs estate, to collect the item from Turs. So the thing is that I can’t load that map(and I’ve been there before)! After saving the game, insted of loading “Piku and Turs estate” map, it just appear blue screen, and says CurrentMap! Than I have to restart the computer….
The funy thing is that I can load other maps, but I can’t that one!
If anybody could help me, the baron Musin would be grateful!

Does anyone know what to do after you get the Musin Estate, I talked to Arkar and got the estate but I cant leave, Ive been everywhere on the map and cant find anyone to talk to or a new place to go.
I’m stuck in the baron Pampa estate. It’s the part when you visit Pampa for the second time and I can’t leave the area. I keep getting the message that the hunter is waiting for me. I’ve tried everything, but the message always pops when I try to leave…
Ok All I did to get this thing working was install it and apply the crack then I used the dirctx that was in the iso. I am using DT 4.06 and it works perfectly fine. Dunno about the save game problem but it runs.
i can’t save when i’m on the third map, after the monks(people dressed in black) take me as a slave?
i can’t get back to rimmon. everytime i want to go there an error appears. It says something about an exeption with the tbb.dll file. I tried it with a non-cd crack with a cracked tbb.dlll file and the original files with a fixed image. I can play in all other areas of the game, but as soon as i want to get to rimmon this error appears. Can someone help me?

I found it!
Before you talk with Baron pampa, first you need Don clothes which is selling at the merchan. then you can talk with pampa.
Then he will walk out the palace to where he gaves you the quest to kill the boars with him. you don’t have to accept his quest yet. you go in anvance, gather the boars and kill it near the house, which is near Pampa. then talk with Pampa and accept his quest. Pampa will kill the boar near the house and you have to kill other as well.
In Musin’estate you have to wear Don clothes as well so that you can talk with avakar
You need Don clothes( which is selling in merchant) so you can talk with Baron pampa.
In Musin’estate you also need Don clothes again to talk with avarka.

OK, now here’s what’s happening later in the game: when you reach Baron Set’s lands, upon arrival all your stats are minimized down to almost nothing ( f.ex. stamina 100 ( and I had 5000 at the moment ), your horses HP down to 100 ( and it was a proud Hamahar with original 1070 HP ). My fellow PC geeks I am a complete zero, what concerns programing, so I depend on You to solve this inconvenient problem! Thanx in advance ( only for those who will try to solve the problem ).
can anyone give me a save game right after the wine quest or a solution to these problems? I cant save at the third map after the monks capture you and you escape. and in the wine quest when i talk to the innkeeper it only gives me 1 option. and i cant get the wine.
How come when i load HTBAG up it has the main menu but the backround is just sky and i cant seem to actualy start playing. Cann someone help me
