Ok. i have downloaded this, yet i can only get to a certain point when it asks me to re-insert original disc, and activate it. I have an .ISO that won’t install, it starts too then just exits out on me.

there are some files that can be used to play on the xp,but im not sure that you can play on the net.my only problem is well…. torrent
i cant install it(get an ISO image)will somebody send me files of that torrent?send it on daviddamjanac@gmail.com or windowsdavid@yahoo.com

OMG u ppl are crazy… vista is fine and not a downgrade at all. u cannot make a judgement until U have actually tried it.

i have vistas fine just type some crap into cmd (netsh blahblah=disabled) and disable the uac it works fine

patch for it. my username is yoomon. Microsoft is crazy for making halo 2 for vista, i got both vista and xp, vista is not good enough to upgrade yet.

Oh SHUT UP you people. Halo’s decent. Vista sucks for most of us, and for those of us who have “uberfast” computers, good for you. Have fun with your buggy, rushed release of Vista.

For the rest of us, the game has already cracked to run on XP perfectly. Now quit whining, lamers.

Actually, XP SP3 is broken also, I would know, because I installed it. I was really disappointed by it… programs stopped working correctly (literally), and practically nothing was compatible with it (makes sense though, considering its RC1).. but still.. I uninstalled it and still had computer problems, so I had to do a whole sfc check using the retail XP Pro SP2 disk..

Note to anyone that’s going to install SP3: Wait 4 months after it is officially released to upgrade to it, that way you are less likely to have problems.

You’re not alone.

I was all team M$ until Vista came and rocked my world.
I have worked with computers (Tech) for many years, and I can say with full confidence that Vista is broken.
People always come back to that with “Oh, but XP had its fair share of issues at the start”.. Vista is different, it’s broken at the core.

All this drove me to Mac.. I never thought it would happen. I was openly anti Mac.. Until I used Leopard.
And since Mac doesn’t have an issue with running XP natively, I don’t have any issues.

I was also xBox 360.
The gaming world barely cares about PC Gamer’s any more. All efforts are put into console games, then they are ported (poorly) to PC.
Consoles last a lot longer than the video card you need to buy each month to keep up with PC game requirements.

Oh, and by the way, the Halo series (especially Halo 3) can be directly compared with Vista.. Broken.

M$ will never die.
But they are sure kicking themselves in the nuts a lot lately!
Guess that’s why they are bringing out Service Pack 3 for XP.

Maybe this needs to happen, so the game of technology can at least be played on a field that’s not owned by Microsoft.
