Halloween WORKPRINT XViD-mVs

mVs guys released workprint of “Halloween” movie. Must quote em from their NFO: “Wow, we like totally forgot to pre this yesterday. How 1337 we ?????” – Yeah right, lol. For those one who don’t know what workprint means, it’s a copy of movie, which is not yet finished, it can have missing scenes, audio, etc. Well, quality of this one is very good, as you can see from provided video sample it have blurred copyright info/time at the center top. Since it’s workprint copy, i recommend you to wait for a finished TS, DVDSCR, R5 or at least decent CAM version, to enjoy in full movie. Anyway you can download this one so see, what’s going on in the movie.

Plot: After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger.

so this 1 is not a full rls then?

2. August 27th, 2007 | 22:50

it is probably almost complete, but missing some audio, cgi and other elements of the movie, so it may look just weird in certain scenes.

Theatre Version: an additional SIX new death sequences, including a completely new finale / General talk seems to be that the reshoots are in effect to significantly boost the gore and violence quota.

Workprint: Minus the above but different Ending.

This is a REMAKE of the ORIGINAL HALLOWEEN. Not any of the shitty sequels. The Halloween producers let Rob Zombie remake the original. Early talk is that it’s pretty good for being like the tenth attempt at a Michael Myers’ flick. Nothing will ever touch the original Halloween by John Carpenter but I’m glad to see other directors are trying their own take on the Myers’ saga.

August 27th, 2007 | 23:14

either way this rls is gonna be the shit. never really liked rob zombies music, but his movies so far are super brutal. Devils Rejects, House of a 1000 Corpses, Awesome. If anyone else would have remade this i wouldnt have given it a second look.

Apparemtly the reason mVs did not release it yesterday was because they were apparently smoking cannabis at the Notting Hill Festival in the UK. Just an Excuse to cover up that FUA Released it first LOL. Yeah I do know that Scenes were re-shot the first week in August 2007, so this will be a little different from the theatrical release.

i cant remember if i read this on here or somewhere else, but someone said that if u dwonload a movie with a “moviex tracker”
(like this halloween movie) that u should delete that tracker, cause unless u have an accoount with “moviex” they are only leeching from u thus slowing down ur download and ur not getting any of the download from them. is there any truth to that or anyone heard that

August 28th, 2007 | 00:30

@39

That means the MPAA is fully aware of this and is probably helping to seed with their own computers. This movie is going to end up in a lawsuit for some very unlucky people…

43. slim_shady
August 28th, 2007 | 00:31

this has caught me by surprise i hope its as good as that hostel 2 workprint but to those thats complaining i would rather watch this than a crappy cam version any day i dont care if it is words at the bottom of it its free and its before it comes out at the movies.

@43 that sucks for them lol

45. August 28th, 2007 | 00:41

How do you delete trackers and avoid that and the MPAA

46. Gaius
August 28th, 2007 | 00:47

How about avoiding this workprint altogether, considering nobody gets 1.5 meg downloads from a torrent that was seeded just today and that the MPAA is probably capturing all the IP addresses that successfully grab that workprint?

Come on, guys, use common sense. Whenever you get a totally fast speed on a public tracker with a torrent that’s just been put up today, that means somebody is trying to get that file onto your computer, capture your IP address, while being able to prove that you still tried to nab a copyrighted work, of which the Workprint still is, final version or not.

Dopes…wait for the final cut and a decent copy of it too. I mean, it’s pretty much a remake with more gore and more Myers as a child. Nothing really new there. Get something more original.

The movie is great, tons of killing, good horror, and great quality.
The only thing that pissed me off is about the last 30-40 minutes are too dark. Hollywood should learn that movies aren’t scary if you can’t see anything.
Anyways, I’d like to see these said re-shot killings and new ending.

56. Bobbysocks85
August 28th, 2007 | 02:08

This version of the film is missing at least 6 re-shot scenes and a different ending than that which will be released theatrically.

Reports indicate that the film will not be a straight remake of the 1978 original, but rather an updated reimagining. According to the MPAA, the film is rated R for strong brutal bloody violence and terror throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity and language

and also because the notting hill carnival is for people with coloured skin then that narrows it down even more, these people better have good anti p2p and government blockers LOL :|

70. erok713
August 28th, 2007 | 05:21

I just watched it. I seriosly doubt that a few days before the theatre release there will be much change. I enjoyed this film very much. Remined me of my youth going to watch the Halloween series in the theatres. It was nice and not too high tech. Alot of the movies these days have too much of a computerized feel imho. I enjoyed how Rob Zombie explained the upbringing more and still remained true to the story. This gets me pumped for fall. I’m so ready for summer to be over. I live the cool weather, the leaves falling, the dark nights, haunted houses. It’s a horror film, but it’s a feel good film for me. My hats off to mVs!

71. sam

those sick fuckers that released this chose the rape scene as the preview clip. I for one hope whoever chose that gets ass-raped tomorrow.

if you live in a country without the mpaa… who the f*ck cares ?

73. Victor
August 28th, 2007 | 05:52

If its not MPAA, its gonna be ur Government. Theres no safe country! The RIAA and MPAA pays damn good money to Governments all over the world to crack down on piracy. You think country like Bangladesh would care about piracy? they have way bigger issues there than chasing down bunch of teenagers for selling pirated music but they r just doing what they have been paid for to do! (Personal opinion)

I read at another site this……

“Rob Zombie has been hard at work filming new material for his remake of “Halloween”.. June 30 ended seven straight days of grueling filming around the Los Angeles area, which included the addition of six new death sequences, which boast more violence and gore, and a brand new ending, which is said to be “quite gruesome.”

75. aussiewayne
August 28th, 2007 | 06:34

another point… I found this movie at another site lastnight with a watermark at the top that says dimension pictures, it was released by a group FUA INT. I just looked at the sample of this by mVs and its the same but watermark blurred out,

77. August 28th, 2007 | 07:34

I’m pumped for this.
I love Halloween, feel free to flame me, but, i’ve loved every film with Micheal Myers in it.
I also seriously doubt this WP will be any different to the cinema release, well, at least i doubt there will be an addition of any new scenes.
Rob Zombie (although i’ve heard you bad mouth him), has made some of the only DECENT horror flicks in the last 5 years or so. Yes they were violent, yes they were sick… but guess what, they were… HORRIFIC! And that kids is what its all about.
I love John Carpenters version, but i think Zombie will have a pretty good take on it.
In short, i can’t wait to watch this movie :) .
Thanks Guys :D

-Pura

78. August 28th, 2007 | 07:44

I just converted and burned the movie and watched it. It looked like a remake of maybe the first one but I STRONGLY DOUBT it is missing any material from the theatrical release, great quality, the blur was a little annoying but overall I felt like I was watching a DVDSCR or an R5 the whole time. THIS IS HOT MATERIAL. DOWNLOAD!

MPAA are not interested in targeting downloaders. Why try and take 20 miliion people to court for downloading a release and suing each one of them individually, when it’s easier to just target the uploader and sue them for 20 million * the value of a Cinema Ticket or DVD.

@54. you’re an idiot. 1.8 megaBIT connection. and your downloads are usually in the 180-200 kiloBYTE range. divid 1.8 by 8 and you’ll get you’re speed rating in bytes. it has nothing to do with “10% of your connection”
i have a 10 mbit connection and i will typically see downloads in the 1-1.1 megaBYTEs per second range.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/news07/070828i.php

This leak is more interesting in that it’s the film’s ‘work print,’ the version shown to test audiences back in June which was panned and lead to a rushed week of reshooting to change the ending and “beef up” the gore quotient (allegedly six more deaths were added in).

Not only does it imply somebody in the production process leaked it (rather than exhibitors or audience members with cameras), but also gives insight into the test screening process as to what about the film has been changed.

Right off the bat for example, the ’sample clip’ being offered with the torrent shows off a disgustingly brutal gang rape by guards on a female prisoner in front of Michael. It’s a scene that is non-existent in the final film in theatres, replaced by a thankfully tamer ‘escape scene’.

84. August 28th, 2007 | 15:24

Man that rape scene was awsome, they better not cut that out of the movie. Chick had a great ass, I would hit it too.

August 28th, 2007 | 16:17

Now that, that scene is out, I can see it with my dad. I am glad it is out. Too intense for me to see it with him.

Plus, I have been reading comments and I am confused. CAN I download this without being tracked? Or what?

86. August 28th, 2007 | 16:43

If you dont wanna be tracked just use the programs IP HIDER which lets you reroute your ip through several different countries and proxies. And also use PEER GUARDIAN. Both of those programs running will ensure your pretty safe.

August 28th, 2007 | 18:03

I had some qualms about watching the new version. But being a person who hates horror film remakes, I do have to say that I DO approve of the new version.

I can provide this info on the reshot scenes, as per the release trailer: no rape, but Michael does attack the guards in order to escape the asylum, and the ending is more in line with Carpenter’s original (I do like the ending in the workprint BTW)

I forgot to say this in the post above:

My girlfriend said last night that she thinks that Rob Zombie himself leaked the workprint because it was something he would probably do.

Does anyone agree with this?

89. Eric
August 28th, 2007 | 18:30

So I got Peer Guardian 2 and it looks KINDA confusing. It keeps saying like every second that it is redirecting the IP to a different one and says that a specific IP’s are blocked. Can someone, um, help?
My girlfriend said last night that she thinks that Rob Zombie himself leaked the workprint because it was something he would probably do.
Could be? He already got paid, has nothing to lose.

I think this movie is going to suck though. There was no reason to remake it, especially not when it remains identical to the original. I think the only people that will be impressed by it are little kids who haven’t seen the original. Maybe Rob Zombie should do a puppet show instead.

Eric Peer Guardian is only necessary if you dont have a router with a good firewall. But to solve your problem make sure that your blocked IP’s don’t include sites you are trying to download from.

Rob Zombie did not leak this… I head him on Howard Stern complaining about how the music industry sucks now because of internet piracy. So I doubt he’d be eager to make the movie industry suck too..
On a side note I think all of his movies so far have sucked.. They put me to sleep.. I’ll give this one a chance though, perhaps his directing abilities are improving..

i did enjoy this movie. it’s ten times better than any of the stupid sequels and brings you right back to the original. i do hope the theater version packs on a bit more gore. the whole michael myers as a kid intro should’ve all been shot in first person view in my opinion. this little kid doesn’t cut it for me, but i don’t think any little kid would. other than that it’s an enjoyable movie.

@84 you have a 10 mb connection. your getting 1 to 1.1 mbs down. Thats 10% as well. Ive talked to many people and it almost always amounts to around 10%. Devide 10 mbs by 10 what do you get. Like mine for example. 1.8 megs devided by 10. 180 to 200. 10 mbs would be 10,240 kb/s. Devide by 10. Equals 1024 kb/s or 1 meg a second. Call me whatever you want but Im just going by facts.

I would suggest staying away from torrents. Very risky as for you never know who is seeding at the other end. P2P is risky as well, like for example Direct Connect. I was under Comcast internet at one time and allowed someone to download from me. I recieved a letter in the mail stating I had to remove the files from the internet or face further action.

i used to download from torrents as well. But nowadays there are so many live streaming websites. So, I don’t feel that I need to download movies anymore. I will list a few of sites here.

having problems with video lagging behind audio . how to fix this ?

117. September 5th, 2007 | 23:43

Its either out of sync which there is not much you can do for that since that has mostly to do with the videos source. That or your processor can not handle it. I recommend downloading VLC (type of media player); it does great with these types of movies…divx 3.0 ect..,xvid,vob, and much more. Hope that helps. Not to mention this rls was posted two days before the movie came out so theres bound to be some problems somewhere along the line. I hope I helped. Latas.

To all that believe the RIAA and MPAA are after you…IF they would prosecute they only go for the people/person sharing/seeding the file. But like Victor said they have other pressing matters at hand, like people actually stealing and reselling (making profit). And seeing that this was most likely leaked by someone in production, there’s nothing at all to worry about. There are tons of WP’s out there and with such quality, the only people that could be leaking them is someone that had something to do with either the movie or the place where it was screened. That is what Victor meant (I assume) by lawsuits, those initial people that leaked it.

what kinda barrell of monkey turd is that… rob zombie recreated, relived, and immortalized michael myers as the classic horror icon that he is and should be portrayed as. Not some half retarded egg shell of a bad robocop in a halloween mask. He made michael myers scarier than anybody couldve ever made him to be because now it seems like myers is an actual person and not some subhuman mess as u saw in some of the past halloween films. Dont get me wrong, i love the originals, except for the plot in ressurection, but for anyone to question rob zombie’s directing and producing, well i think he did a damn good job considering that he kept alot of it in its original state. He literally took the halloween saga and brought it back to life in such a way that it will never be forgotten such as the remake of texas chainsaw massacre.

im not saying it to anybody in particular and im not trying to offend people and their judgement but upon searching reviews on this film i had to get it off my chest as a healthy arguement, therefore i dont expect everyone to agree with me but ive been seeing alot lately about people disagreeing with the movie in its entirety and it just bugs me out.
