With a really good timing, colleagues from a Polish group CHWDF released a new STV title Halloween Night. It kind of reminds me of our pumpkin here at Releaselog, but the one on the cover is little more scary - it’s horror with pretty offending story and certain sexual scenes. Nothing mainstream, but if you have nothing better to watch, it can kill some time…
Halloween Night is about the psychotic adventures of a child who grows up in a mental institution after witnessing his mother’s death and also getting severely burned and disfigured. He runs around in a costume on Halloween slashing the heck out of everyone he sees, mostly young scream queens. Some lesbian scenes and a modicum of nudity add to the offensive nature of this film. A few really well scripted scenes make it watchable. Some good musical scores and some bad cinematography. But overall it is a take off on many previous slasher films.

Nothing offensive about this.. really. It’s just another bad cash in by grade Z production company The Asylum. So many better Halloween films to waste your time on. Even the cheap and crappy Mr Halloween is better, and that one sucked too.

Quality of release is perfectly fine, few problems here and there but that’s due to the cinematography rather than the release. Only one problem I noticed, during the credits at 1:19:09 it skips ahead about 5 seconds… but that’s just being pedantic for the sake of it. Although I like the song and would’ve ripped the audio from the .avi if it hadn’t have been because of that.
