Halloween DVDRip XviD-ViTE

One of the main horror movies of the year just was released in a DVDRip this being Halloween. The only previous release of this movie was a workprint version released by mVs found here. The quality is pretty much the same as the workprint but without the blurred copyright image found on the workprint. This is the best available copy at the moment so if you haven’t seen this movie yet this is the copy to get. I should also note this movie isn’t for the light hearted its in the same league as the Saw movies;).

Update: Halloween.REPACK.DVDRip.XviD-ViTE (GMC off now)

The residents of Haddonfield don’t know it yet… but death is coming to their small sleepy town. Sixteen years ago, a ten year old boy called Michael Myers brutally kills his step father, his elder sister and her boyfriend. Sixteen years later, he escapes from the mental institution and makes his way back to his hometown intent on a murderous rampage pursued by Dr Sam Loomis who is Michael’s doctor and the only one who knows Michael’s true evil. Elsewhere a shy teenager by the name of Laurie Strode is babysitting on the night Michael comes home… is it pure coincidence that she and her friends are being stalked by him?

Someone from the staff should really check the introductory paragraph. ” One of the main horror movies of the year just was released in a DVDRip this being Halloween. ”

maybe… “One of the main horror movies of this year ‘Halloween’ was just released as DVDRip” ??

    regards anyway ;)

@#7 Dont praise the orginal that much. It wasnt even that great. I would take this new version over the original ANYDAY! But John Carpenter is still cool. And he made one of the greatest movie’s of all time…THE THING!

  70. GMC
    December 7th, 2007 | 02:13

Global motion compensation (GMC) is a technique used in video compression to reduce the bitrate required to encode video. It is most commonly used in MPEG-4 ASP, such as with the DivX and Xvid codecs.

Due to the extra decoding CPU cost of global motion compensation, some hardware players do not support global motion compensation. One example is the Creative Zen Vision M, which supports Xvid and DivX encoded video, but only with GMC disabled.

You have to re-encode to remove GMC, my Divix player does not play files with GMC, I’ve only come across 1 file with GMC, it’s not used often.

The theatrical version is in fact very different than the workprint version. The theatrical version doesn’t focus on Michael’s mental state as much as the workprint, the escape scene is 100% completely different, and the ending is at least 20 minutes longer and totally different than the workprint.

Thanks for the links, chaps. One point would be that comments like the above from Sabnock are welcomed, but can you tell us WHICH version you are watching? In this thread there are now several downloads, none of which are described for what they are, that is, unrated, workprint, or whatever. I am lucky enough to be able to use a 20 meg connection so getting them all isn’t a problem, but for some it may be.

hey thank u andy, sorry i forgot to mention which one lol… the one i have that is Unrated, is the version in which this thread was formed for, Halloween DVDRip XviD-ViTE

it has many scenes from the workprint, including the rape scene, mrs. myers committing suicide… im pretty sure this is the unrated. not to mention it runs at 120 mins. 2 hours. so yeah, just wanting to let ppl know so they know what they are downloading.

cuz it’s all about the scene! live and let live!

    Cheers, Sabnock.

Since posting my comment I have been directed to http://www.rlslog.net/halloween-workprint-xvid-mvs/. .

I will compare the two and investigate whether the version I saw at the cinema contained the rape scene, cos I’m absolutely sure it didn’t.

Workprint: w/ rape; less kills than theatrical
Theatrical: more kills, diff ending, no rape
    Unrated: mixture of the two
