I get a kick out of some of the posts here, there have been methods to see through walls and skins for oh what 30 years now? Google it.

18k is nothing, and with todays composites, very easily as strong as he claims. I saw a discovery show about the original bearsuit (made fun of it on the simpsons) and the guy is the real deal.

As for the price, the prototype of anything always costs a fortune. Some prototype cars cost millions but the car is sold for 30 grand.

The huge pricetag for the prototype also takes into account from start to finish the design and testing phase. It cost him 15000 total, that 1 suit might only cost 2000 to manufacture.

Chainmail armor for 500 years..? Yea whatever, dickweed. The thing is 500 years ago there was no assault rifles and very very little need to move quickly from cover to cover.

What really bugs me is how you take a piss or a dump in that thing…? (Fallout, anyone? )

@blabla, You should be “resigned dishonnerfully” for saying and spelling “Dishonorably discharged” like you just did. But, I doubt that you’re even in the military, so it’s really not an issue. The one thing you ARE right on is that 18Kg would be nothing to a person in the military, they have to deal with much more than that on a daily basis.

idiot i would resign dishonnerfully if I had to were that:P lol!! but, for the rest of y’all.. the standard backpack of a marine is 30KG, a stinger case is 65Kg when they can carry that;) wat problem would it be to carry 18 Kg;)

BabylonSoul, prototypes tend to cost much more, cause he didnt know how to build it did he? 18kg is very little, its like uhm 54 boxes of Coke(the normal small ones) strapped to your body for measure. kg is very europe ish, so i guessed coke boxes would be very international. 18kg would also be 3 michael jacksons

How can he sell this shit (pardon me, suit!) to the military for $2000 each if the production cost was $15000??? The guy is not just a complete geek, he is also a fine businessman! haha
