Guru – The Best Of Guru’s Jazzmatazz (2008)
Hi everybody. So, I’m a new fella at the RlsLog and I wanted to introduce myself a bit. So My name is Carlos, I’m from Portugal but living in the little country of Luxembourg. I go by the name of Kichy. I will try to bring you some nice flavours of the tasty music. Will provide you most of all with Black, Alternative, Rock and Club Music. Since I’m a Dj, I will be maybe allowed to post my own comliations. Looking forward to working with you. Njoy it.
Anyone who’s followed East Coast hip-hop can go on-and-on about Gang Starr. Originally formed in 1987, the group was seen as the scion of another land-mark East-Coast duo, Eric B. and Rakim. Comprised of the Guru and DJ Premier, the group released several classic albums in the early 90’s, including Step in the Arena, Daily Operation, and Moment of Truth. The recipe of DJ Premier’s inspired jazz-samples and Guru’s slick-rhyme skills established the group as hip-hop giants on the same tier as A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.

I’m really into Jazz and jazzy Hip Hop (ATCQ, Digable Planets, etc.) but I just can’t stand Guru’s monotonous voice.

Mais um olá de Portugal, de um também companheiro dessas andanças de DJ. Boa escolha, sem dúvida, mas de longe o seu melhor lançamento.
