Sorry for double posting… But Cameron Wildsmith, normally when you download a game (from this site and many others), it is a full disc image (ISO) of the disc. You will normally have to unzip it from a .zip or .rar file, and then mount the CD image with a program such as Daemon Tools, which is a fake CD drive that lets you open cd images on your computer likie a normal cd-rom drive. This is a wicked game dawg, I’ve been waiting to play it forever, I’ve played number 2 before and beat it up to hard, I couldn’t beat the last 5 songs on hard… Anyhoo, my bro has this for ps2 and he beat it on hard… It’s supposed to be a wicked game!
It has high system requirements because it’s just some lazy PC port, I guess that’s closely what the xbox360 has. Happens all the time with console > pc games sadly…

Supposedly, only a few PS2 adapters work with the Whammy Bar. I believe you will need to use a program like JoyToKey regardless.

Takenover83: I dl’d your’s and got it to work but it’s too much of a hassle to get it working for the most part, which is why your comments section has 12+ pages of people pissing and moaning about not being able to get it working. Hopefully this one will be less hassle (maybe they’ve found a better/easier way to get it working than your method which would be weird but not impossible).
Hopefully soon a proper crack will arrive as I hate having to start the game 5 times just to get it to run once =/…but at least those of us that downloaded Takenover83’s image will only have to snag a crack instead of re-downloading everything.

It works with both PC keyboard as well as Xbox360 guitar for Guitar Hero 2. I’ve played Takenover83’s release with my Xbox360 white Gibson Explorer guitar and all you need is the proper 360 controller drivers from Microsoft (ie the ones for ANY wired Xbox360 controller, whether guitar or regular controller).
Takenover83: it looks the exact same as yours so I wouldn’t doubt it at all. I still hope a proper crack is in order but big THANKS to you for putting out the clone early so all of us that got it have to do is wait for a crack (and tell the game to start 5 times before it will recognize the disk while we wait lol).
multiplayer = don’t have a clue, but it SHOULD work since there is no key that I know of, but there might be a mp specific key in the retail booklet etc.

Never really saw the big deal about this game, it seems like you have to buy the mini-guitar to have any fun.

Ok guys, i manage to play the game.
Follow this steps..
1. Install Daemon Tools 4.06HE (MUST be this version!!)
2. Mount the image of the game and install it.
3. Execute YASU 1.4 version and cloack it.
4. Play the game.

has anyone tested the PS3 guitar on the PC? how would it connect? with the 360 I assume it would connect via the wireless pod thingy…
Im guessing your pc would need Bluetooth (for the ps3 guitar). Then using joy2key to map the controls would work.

Wow, much more fun for me (and less hassle) to just plug my real guitar in and crank up the stereo! More songs to choose from too. Plus I don’t have to be watching a screen so I’m free to shred some wild hammer-ons and pull-offs!

You can download all versions of Daemon, even 4.06HE that works on x64 systems on GAME COPY WORLD!!! It took me time to find that out… and NO ONE ever posted it on ANY GH3 torrent comments. So GO and ENJOY. Use YASU and it WILL work. I was trying to make it work for 2 hours, until I found out all this, and it works really really works. Believe me.

Why do you have a problem with people enjoying a music game? You say “why dont you pick up a REAL guitar instead”. Why is no1 saying “Why dont you pick up a real machine gun instead” in the Crysis or Gears of War posts.
I dont see why ppl get so annoyed by ppl enjoying a guitar emulating game. Its a way for ppl to enjoy music and in the same time interact with it. Also it is very likely that these games inspire people to start playing real instruments…so stop whining.

It looks like you have not put the YASU executable (the pertinently-named YASU.exe) in your Daemon 4.06 folder. It must be there, or it won’t work. Hope this helps =)
Just for the record, I wasn’t knocking the game or it’s players, I was knocking the fact that people were finding it hard to get working (crack).
I do realise that not everybody is destined to be musical :p

The game works with any Guitar controller and ps2 adapter, if you use joytokey.

Also this game works great if you just use Air Guitar.
Like, just use your hands and pretend you have a guitar and are playing along with the music.
You won’t get anything in game for this, but 1.) you don’t have to plug anything in, that could be dangerous and 2) You will still feel like a Hero.

ok.. im really confused.. i just bought the game for my laptop i have a intel and i geuss my computer graphics card isn’t right for the game i dunno.. it says like”your card does not support the minimun requirments” is there any type of driver or something i can download so that i can play? email me(ssmitch009@aol.com) or reply please.

If it is truely possible to play this game with a keyboard, you could definitly map any sort of controller (which includes everything from a *gasp* PS2 to USB controller to a racing wheel or even a nes controller if you could hook it up to your computer) to letters on your keyboard using Joy2Key then change your control scheme.
OK I did everything right, then i go to load game and it says “Cant find original disk or somethig…. WTF.. i need to rock out man….HAHA

Hello, i burned this version and i now installed it from dvd-rom, tho it dosnt work :S it needs to have a CD, i cant crack with Yasu since its not an img file.. what should i do? i know i had this game working on another computer but i cant remember what to do.
