GTA IV: PC Release Date
Guess what, GTA IV is coming to pc. Who had expected that!? It will be released on the 18th of November for the US, and on the 21th of November for Europe. I hope the pre ordering can begin soon, and I’m curious what the Collectors Edition will be.(I know it’s not really Tech News, but we don’t really have a good category for this)

Grand Theft Auto IV will be released for PC on 21st November in Europe, Rockstar announced today.
Pleasantly, that’s just a few days after the PC version arrives in North America on 18th November.
Rockstar founder Sam Houser says it “looks and plays beautifully on PC and we can’t wait for people to play it”.
A PC version of the game has been rumoured since before the PS3 and 360 versions were even released, but Rockstar has never previously confirmed it.
The most telling sighting was a rating on the ESRB website, although that was removed a few hours later.
GTA IV came out worldwide on 29th April and Rockstar said in early June that it had sold 8.5 million copies.
The game charts the course of hero Niko Bellic as he arrives in Liberty City – a caricature of New York – and has to embark on a life of crime to get his cousin and himself out of trouble.

This is going to be great on pc, it is amazing on the 360 but the pc version will probably be much better in every way. I hope they significantly improve the graphics and textures instead of porting the 360 or PS3 version. I won’t buy it if it doesn’t look that different from the 360 version.

I’m more excited for Saints Row 2 now though, since that is coming to the pc soon too. The graphics are a little worse, but the gameplay looks a lot more fun than GTA IV. Saints Row for the 360 had really good customization options and replayability, and Saints Row 2 is going to have even better customization, character creation, as well as planes and all the stuff that should have been in GTA IV. You also get to create and customize your own gang. GTA IV gets really boring after you finish the main story and get used to the multiplayer modes because there isn’t enough to do in the game.

saints row 2 also has a lot more weapons that should have been in gta 4 like flamethrowers, katanas, chainsaws, hammers and satchel charges.
Multiplayer gameplay MUST be modified properly for use with mouse.. I hope this is so.. I will pre-order it most likely

i would have thought that they would try and keep the requirements fairly reasonable because it will mean more sales.
the more people who can play it, the more will buy it. the recommended spec will be fairly high, but I would wager that the minimum spec will be well within everyone’s capability.

I’m assuming nothing is exclusive anymore, Halo never was exclusive, but Microsoft always maintained it was an Xbox ONLY game, until they broke those promises and launched Halo 1 and Halo 2 for PC.
I’m truly assuming they will bring out a Halo 3 for PC (maybe it time for Windows 7, so it maybe a Windows 7 exclusive, lmfao).

played it on xbox360 – completed it, started to replay it, got bored, sold it.
it’s not even close to being as much fun as san andreas was – there is nothing to do other than missions and getting blowjobs.

GTA is THE BEST
I think GTA IV is great. Yes, it’s more of the same, if you’ve been a Grand Theft Auto fan from the beginning (not just from 3 onwards) you will love this. Seems like people thought this game was going to be life changing and different were disappointed that it wasn’t, well for me it was because I bought a 360 just to play this and I never had a console before. If you are going to look for flaws and stuff you CAN’T do, you WILL find them. But there is so much more stuff you CAN do in this game I never dreamed of, everyday I played this I found something new to do.
One more thing, EXCLUSIVE means it will be released on that system FIRST and later on MIGHT be ported to other systems.
Same here leecher. I’ll be buying this one. It’s one game I know is good and worth paying for.

I believe there was some kind of agreement between micrsoft and Rockstar to delay pc release to force Gta fans to buy Xbox 360 when the sales reached the required extent they announced Pc release to maximize the profit
