Grindhouse 2007 DVDRiP RERiP XviD-TRVE
It’s little weird to see a dvdrip of such an old movie as Grindhouse, but the retail DVD date was set unusually long after the premiere so you can finally enjoy the retail dvdrip now. Released by German group TRVE, this is actually a rerip – the first version had bad IVTC, which should be fixed now. I guess there’s no need to introduce this Tarantino’s movie, we’ve informed about it numerous times. The movie is rather lengthy (190 minutes), so it comes on 2 CDs only with MP3 audio.
An homage to exploitation B-movie thrillers that combines two feature-length segments into one double-bill designed to replicate the grind house theatergoing experience of the 70s and 80s. In “Death Proof,” a psycho named Stuntman Mike stalks and kills beautiful women with his car. In “Planet Terror,” a small-town sheriffs’ department has to deal with an outbreak of murderous, infected people called “sickos.” A gun-legged woman named Cherry and her martial arts-wielding partner take on the zombie army. The two films will be fused together by fake movie trailers.

This release is too small to have both movies and the fake trailers. The quality must be really low I would wait for a HD release or a DVDR because you might be disappointed by the video and audio. Here is a link talking about the Japanese 6 DVD release the first two DVDs are the movies with the trailers and the other 4 are bonus material.

Hey could anyone who’s downloaded it do us a favour and put the trailers on here for all too see?
I am sure many of you, like me, have seen both the films and don’t want to download them again just for the trailers.
@Mike No.31 I know that you can fit both movies on 2cd’s or one dvd you can probably fit both on 1 cd if you find a Real Media version. The only this I was trying to say is that going by the NFO the bitrate is very low even that Anna Nicole movie posted today have a higher video bitrate than this. This is a over 3 hour movie plus trailers the TS released early last year was the same size as this and you can not compare a TS to a dvd rip. Even the 6 dvd version is not the best version. I will probably buy or download a blue ray version with both movies and trailers which should be out before the holidays.People should probably wait until a p2p group like NewArtRiot rencode this release and put it in H264 with has better video and audio for the same size as this release. I wonder will a version without the fake film scratches be released because with Death Proof the phony 1970’s film look was minimal and not a distraction for me at the theater but with Planet Terror they were from start to finish and to me that was overkill even though that was Rodriguez and Tarantino vision.
Death Proof was one of the worst films I have seen in my life. Utter garbage. No joking. I feel bad for the actors involved because the director had his head up his ass. Absolutely boring self-indulgent crap!
Planet Terror was rather enjoyable though. No wonder they wanted to release it separately from Death Proof.
You shouldn’t expect much in terms of video quality here. Especially considering that a load of bitrate is taken up with reproducing those digitally introduced scratches, reel stuttering and so forth. Sheesh, it ain’t rocket science guys. There are two movies here, which, given the amount of action scenes and fake reel damage, clearly need a 2-CD encode each; then we could have retained AC3 6-channel audio. The Death Proof 2-CD rls has been out for ages and you can get a nice 720p Blu-ray rip of Planet Terror as well.
This here rls is only going to be of interest to those with slow connections or slow neurons.

Tarentino needs a reality check after making Death Proof. he needs to lay off the snow and the hos and make a decent film FFS.
That one at PirateBay, which I had already posted here, is a 3-CD release AND with AC3 sound. I don’t know i it’s the same 88keyz posted here too because I don’t use newsgroups. Anyway, both releases made the right choice at spitting in 3 cds… I think that if the individual movies had 2-CD releases each, you should have more than this for the whole feature…

There wasn’t enough story to even make a short film! Kurt Russell’s character was interesting enough but the movie wasn’t about him. It was about Quentin Tarantino trying to get laid by casting as many women as he can.
We get it Quentin, you want to have sex with Zoe Bell. She can’t act and should be left as a 3rd rate stunt person that she is.
Death proof was a good movie, it was just slow in the beginning. I loved the car chases and the sexy girls killing the guy at the end.

You should really research a movie before you post about it Martin…this post is just a mess. This is 2 movies in one, only one of them is directed by Tarantino, the other is by Robert Rodriguez. And what are you talking about with quicktime files? There are trailers within the movie that were not included in the first 2 separate dvdrips of this (except for Cleaver) I mean, I like you Martin, and I love this site, but I’m sorry to say that this post kinda makes you sound like a fool.
Can someone rip the trailers out of this and host it somewhere? I’ve already downloaded the movies separately. Thanks
I bought the steel case versions of both movies when they came out. Two main discs each, plus one bonus disc each. All trailers and tons of cool extras included. I’m happier than a pig in sh!t to own both.
What happened to the release of Electric Apricot, Les Claypool’s first film? It is a masterpiece and more people need to watch it.

Concerning the merits or otherwise of DP and PT, it seems DP appeals to broader minded later generation types (my Dad loves it) who actually saw Vanishing Point on the big screen. You’ll have to have seen the movie to know what I’m talking about. As for the incessant chick talk, I personally found it of some interest, but that’s only because I’m a fan of Tarantino’s work with dialog. The exchanges in the burger joint between Travolta and Thurman in Pulp Fiction, are a case in point. Pure cinema magic, that. Only the exchange between Robert de Niro and Amy Brenneman in Michael Mann’s “Heat” (1995) tops this. OK Tarantino didn’t direct DP, but you can feel the influence in Rodriguez’ direction.
I thought DP was fantastic (just like my Dad), but that’s only my opinion; I can comprehend that many would find it irritating. [SPOILER] Even so, the demise of Kurt Russell’s character at the end is deeply satisfying, and I thought Zoe Bell did a great job. [end SPOILER]. If you’re up to it, a great way to prepare for DP is to watch Vanishing Point first (the 1971 original of course, not the ‘97 remake)… http://www.mininova.org/tor/1083602
PT has some exceptional acting with stellar performances from Rose McGowan (guess what, my Dad had his jaw on the floor with this hot little number) and Freddy Rodriguez. The only disappointment… it’s 1.85:1 aspect ratio, whereas DP is full 2.35.
I have to say, regardless of how good or bad each of the two films might be, the handling of them seems like a train wreck to me. Double feature in the theater, separate release on DVD. Unrated, extended release on DVD. One includes the fake trailers, one leaves them out. Regular cut, extended cut, super, mega box set.
Is there a DVDRip that includes the extended versions of both films AND the fake trailers?

I have the same problem as you!
This release is not the uncut release, and so misses the best scene of Death Proof (The Lapdance) and the other good extra scenes.
However it does have all the fake trailers in it.
For a better version of Planet Terror, get:

I’m still searching for a Death Proof rip of similar quality.
However, get this release for the Extra Trailers and split them out, so far it’s the only way to get them on DVD.
