Gridiron Gang DVDRip XviD-DMT

Just watching the cover and seeing that The Rock and Xzibit play in this movie I’m sure I’m going to check this movie. In IMDB it has a pretty good score with 6.9. It looks like the movie is a little bit like “Invincible” that is a true football story. The Rock is known from The Scorpion King and Walking Tall as a good action hero. The reviews tell that The Rock acts in this movie and he’s doing it pretty good. Enjoy!

The role of probation officer Sean Porter fits Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson like a glove; however, the execution is so cliched, the youths’ stories (based on real events), fail to inspire.

It begins as an idea born out of frustration. Perplexed and appalled by the alarmingly rate of recidivism (as high as 75 percent) among his troubled young charges at Camp Kilpatrick, probation officer Sean Porter (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and his colleague Malcolm Moore (Xzibit) are desperately looking for a way to lift these young men out of the desperate circumstances that landed them at the maximum security juvenile compound.

Most have been convicted of crimes within their communities in and around Los Angeles, and are now forced to live together in an atmosphere of mutual distrust and outright hatred. The multi-racial group’s forced truce often explodes into violence. Camp Kilpatrick is seen by the judicial system as a last chance for these youths before incarceration in California Youth Authority, where they will experience the horrors of adult life in lockup. Getting these wards of the county to care about themselves and their lives has been a thankless task for even the most dedicated counselors like Porter and Moore. Too many of the young men in their care have gone back out into the world only to end up in prison or, far too often, meet a violent end before they can reach adulthood.

As a teenager, Porter overcame his own personal problems to become a firstrate high-school football player. He wonders if the lessons he learned through discipline and team spirit could be applied to these young men and help them overcome the hopelessness they feel. He and Moore cobble together a team, the Camp Kilpatrick Mustangs, from among the residents of the facility, some of whom are eager to play, and others who are resistant.

This release has bad AR and is completely out of sync. So it should get nuked soon — wait for another release. It’s hard to imagine that there will be a proper version of this one, DMT screwed up this one royally.

Mike, congrats on becoming an editor for the site.

One little thing I’d ask for future reviews - I love all the pics you include, but could you please upload them in the size they display on the site? In-browser image scaling is just plain ugly.

Dear Steve, better get a better browser (or learn to better use the one that you have).

In Opera 9 (free) I open the image in another Tab (right-click the squeezed image > copy image adress > open new tab > paste image’s adress > hit ENTER key); then you’ll see the image at 100% its pixel size.

Downscaling screenshots defeats their purpose - screenshots are used for judging the video quality. This is only possible if the screenshot gets published in the original video size (e.g. 624px * 304px).

I hope Mike / Martin refrain from downscaling the screenshots - how could we then check the video’s picture quality?

I suppose Mike / Martin put the screenshots into smaller (xhtml-) image tags, because rlslogs nice page layout has a fixed width. The width of the actual content column is less than 600px. Therefore it is necessary to squeeze the screenshots into narrower-sized image tags, if we want to get full-size screeshots.

btw: Thank you all for this very useful site!

Ok, I see I was obviously wrong with my assumption about the Mike’s motivation for squeezing the screenshots into smaller image tags. Sorry.

But I want to reinforce my point about posting full-size (original-size) screenshots of videos.

I guess I mixed this site up with hypoh.c0m - there you have original-size screenshots squeezed into smaller image tags. There you can (with the Opera browser, and probably others too) right-click onto that squeezed image > open in another tab > and there you go.

To visualize how the movie of that quality would look full-screen, I then set Opera to full screen [F11], and then zoom the page (= the image) using the numpad’s [+] key. This is very helpful in deciding if a download is worth it.

When I run fix.bat I get this Erroe Message Window:

    Nandub Error
Couldn’t locate decompressor for format ‘XVID’(unknown)

VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW ) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.

    Any Help PLEASE

    To mromaha:

The easiest program to fix “out of sync” problems is with AVIinfo. Its a small program that can adjust the framerate for the sound. Try it out.
