Great White v1.4 iPhone iPod Touch-COREPDA
The 0day scene is recently coming with many releases for iPhone / iPod Touch from iTunes so I wanted to give this a try. We haven’t posted a single cracked app for these devices but if there’s enough demand, we can start posting them regularly together with Windows and Mac software. Give us your thoughts about this in comments and we will decide!
Get in on the Great White Shark action! These fierce predators are not to be messed with so tread cautiously. From your submerged camera position watch in horror as the sharks swim about and get worked into a frenzy by all the blood in the water. Release chum into the water and watch the sharks chase your finder as you swipe or tap around the screen. Grab the Shock Stick to zap the sharks with electricity then watch as they reel in agony. Swipe your finger across the screen to create a stream of blood or bubbles. Switch to nighttime lighting and watch as the sharks are illuminated by the water flares.
Three modes to choose from (Shock Stick, Chum/Blood, and Bubbles). Use the interface controls to switch from Shock to chum to bubbles, change bubble color, scene environments, shark skins, sounds, and daylight, dusk, and night lighting modes. It’s exhilarating, horrifying, and downright addictive, once you start playing you simply can’t stop.

Maybe once a month a great app can be posted, but only when the app is that great that posting is worth it.

You can even divide the section to (1)Games and (2)Apps.
If you'll take it even further: iPhone\Symbian\Windows Mobile\Android categorization. It will make it even more quick and friendly, as there are hundreds of apps&games for each platform.
If you do post them please give them their own category so we can filter them out.

I support the idea of adding a subsite, not adding a section. It would be cool if you released a bunch of these daily (maybe with short posts) and made it separate from the main RLSLOG thread. I think a secondary site to support a specific kind of app/game would be a tremendously positive addition to RLSLOG.

People will download them (I would if I still had my iPhone), so unless it takes an incommensurate amount of effort to post these releases compared to other releases, why not? I don't see any arguments posted here other than "no, I'm too lazy to scan over three extra releases a day", "no, I hate Apple" and people who assume that a higher percentage of iPhone software is crap compared to other platforms (hint: it's not like right now exactly everything posted to RLSLog is worthwhile for every single person).

if you are so well off, why not buy the software yourself?
Do not assume other people don't have the money, just because
they don't want to spend it on such a waste as an iphone.
And in being that it is a waste of money, seeing apps posted for it is a waste of time.
Martin, I think that posting each app separately, even if it's 1-2 a day is still adding unnecessary content to the site. I've seen other music posts where they list 5-10 music videos/albulms/etc in the one post and this could be a way to do it, with 1-2 posts a week with 5-10 apps in each post. I also think that this should also have a different category at the least. I just don't think that too may readers have cracked iphones or ipod touch's. I think that this is a nice area that is covered quite well by other sites. Also will you also start posting some of the mp4 releases of tv shows and movies? Because you don't need a cracked iphone to watch those videos, so that would instantly be of more use to people.
it also looks like there are people such as jesus (#48) who don't seem to realise that you need a jailbroken/cracked iphone to use the app. The ppl who have cracked iphones (I am one of them) already know how/where to go for cracked apps.

http://www.modmyi.com to learn how to jailbreak. seriously, if you dont know how to do this stuff, read up on it. as for posting to the site, i think it is a good idea as long as it isnt overdone. 1-2 apps a day is plenty as long as it isnt 6 weeks after it was released. i wouldnt want to see the assassins creep app posted here. that would just be rediculous due to how long ago it came out. and yes appulo.us is a great site and you can get the app for it on your jailbroken iphone/ipod.

just don't. There are already enough other sites and apps specialising on iPhone/iPod apps.
And as much as I wish they would employ the same critical view as you do, bottom line is that, as you stated so correctly, the majority of those apps are plain vanilla BS and serve no purpose whatsoever, except for repelling any potential girfriend with a nerdcore enterprise/starwars fart machine. As someone mentioned before, if you find a group whose selection is exceptional, a monthly summary is more than sufficient.

Very strong no. There are plenty of sites focusing on pirating iPhone Apps, keep RLSLOG strong at what it already does well (and improve on it), rather than saturating it with sub-standard releases of the latest novelty iPhone applications.
Iphone/Touch Releases are a must. Please do more. I check releaselog at least 3 times a week.

This is a bad idea imo, the clutter is going to be outrageous. No ones even commenting on these posts their all just giving download links.
If your going to keep it at least make 1 post a day like you do the music collections or a way to keep the iphone category disabled for people who dont want to see it.
Perhaps offering games for the i-Phone is not a good idea.
The little kiddies, these toys were designed to amuse, should be in school learning their ABC's.
The others who think they have a cool business device, need to stop playing dress-up and take off daddy's shoes before he gets home from work.
i-Phones are toyz for kidz, they are capable of nothing, are proprietary garbage that is about 5 years too late to the business machine centre and just don't stack up with anything else worthwhile.
If you are in school, have fun with your i-toy, if you are in business look for something that actually works in a business environment (HTC for example, a 'real' smartphone).
