Great Battles Of Rome-PROCYON
Scene group PROCYON this evening released a new strategy game for us to enjoy. Titled The History Channel: Great Battles of Rome this game follows in the fottsteps of games in the Total War series especially Total War: Rome. Even though the History Channel have thrown there name in the front of the game title i doubt that it will be as in depth and fun as the Total War games. PROCYON say the game is “Horrible, just horrible.” Still the NFO is something that will catch your attention and probably not in a good way, these guys seriously want a death wish, anywho the release comes in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish languages. Have fun!

Yup, that’s exactly what was missing from the scene. Way to show us you aren’t spoiled 12 year olds.
I’d almost download it just to beat it.
Wonder if they were smart enuff to post that youtube video from a secure untracable connection, cause it’s not like you can be tracked from uploading a video to youtube.
Oh no, wait, you can.
it looks like an attempt to make a Rome Total War with 1/10 budget
Well.. it’s build on the Rome: Total War game-engine, so i wouldn’t call it low budget.
Can anyone tell about the campaign? How is it compared to the Rome: TW and addon? (not talking aobut the historical battles)
torrent not found
whats up the the nfo then? yes im lazy go cry me a river
wtf just click on the nfo link Oo
anyway .. i dont really know the background on this, so i cant really decide if i find the nfo funny or not.
I just hope you Die Wankstar… while playing this gay ass game… hmmm… I just made up a rhyme… All I need is a sweet beat…
Anyway… it’s much better than Rome: Total Fag… the intro movies from each campaign are longer… just enough for you to jerk off in front of your damn 14″ Satow monitor… Damn chinese people…
ROFLROFL LOLOLOLO OMG :;ASDDDSDD

@ phishybongwaters
I very doubt they actually posted the video as the first comment was made by capndrake (11 months ago) and was actually posted May 30, 2006.
Just trying something
Doesnt work lol
you cant get a name tag like mine, stop tryin to imitate staff.
their nfo’s are always SO great. I usually never download their releases, (just cuz i don’t like the game) but I always read thier NFOs. The declaration of war against IRAN was the best IMHO.
procyon nfos are just like rlslog comments on a bad day
@Big-Balled-Bill
And who let that 10 year old kid in?
@Staff
It’s a possibility you should start banning people by their IP. I suggest Big-Balled-Bill.

And if i dont WHAT your gonna do about it???????
At least i am helping people cant say that from YOU!!!!!!
I really like this! The History Channel name is just marketing hype. The game is actually based on Legion Arena. I love the Total War series but also enjoy the more realistic hands off approach of Slitherine Software games. The graphics may be crustier than RTW, but the way battles are resolved by setting up units and giving general orders before the battle with only limited input from you during the battle is more realistic than RTW. Pre battle strategy and commander influence were much more important in Ancient battles rather than tactical changes during the fighting and the games in this series do a great job simulating this. Great stuff!
