How to install the game:
1.Burn or mount
2.Install
3.Open Grand.Theft.Auto.IV.Crack.Offline.Activation.rar
from the downloaded torrent from @arenabg.com
4.Instructions:
1) Close your internet connection.
2) Copy paul.dll from ôCrackö directory into ôOfflineActivationö folder in the game directory.
3) Run OfflineActivation.exe in the ôOfflineActivationö folder in the game directory.
use this:

Played it on xbox, its good just not worth the hype, and not nearly as good as previous games. Multiplayer kept me going for a couple of months though a lot of variety.

Game just seemed a bit too mature and the phone and friends really annoyed me, just seemed to be lacking the fun some of the older ones had, and no rampages .

The hidden ‘packages’ are also quite difficult to find in this

If this is one disc has anybody tried using ISO buster and extracting the files contained in the inage to your hard drive then install that way. Ive done it with a few games, and no disc was needed. Although as far as if a crack is still needed not sure. You can give it a try.

guys, i managed to get it working with the crack from 0×0008!!

you need to set the system time (in bios) to a later date first and edit the 0×0008 crack at 2 positions with a hex editor! here are the instructions: http://pastebin.ca/1274347

According to the people who own the game legally it is the worst port in the history of gaming. Seriously people with GTX cards and 4870 cards have trouble playing it. Go to gtaforums if you dont believe me.

wow after reading all the crap the past couple of days about the game and the size of it , I figured i would just go out and buy it, cause after all 50 bucks is pennies nowadays. All I can say is rock on rockstar!! the game rocks!! so worth the 50 bucks. so after reading 429 comments about the cracks and the fact that no one has the same opinion on weather any of the cracks or downloads are legit, just buy it and save yourself the hassle. unless you truly have no life and just want to sit there and wait, have fun:)

The specs for this game are higher than for CRYSIS. Maybe if they optimize the game in the near future, lots of people will buy it, because the most of them don’t have the edge of tech. Personaly i have a C2D E8400, 4Gb DDR2 & 9800GTX+ but i’m sure that i can’t play the game at maximum setting on a 24″ LCD with a pleasant framerate.
PLEASE ROCKSTAR optimize the game because it’s a HOT game !!!

ok sorry everyone I am not trying to sound like some anti piracy a$$. I am not saying that i do not download games, tunes, movies hmm i have 2tb of movies on my home server, let alone the hundreds of dvds i have pirated over the past 3 years, what i am saying is first of all, if you are gonna game on a pc, have a gaming pc, build yourself a gaming pc, then you do not have to worry about weather it will work or not. If you wait months anticipating something is it not worth paying for it, someone posted the amount rockstar lost just in one day on TPB thats a lot of cash eh? so if that happens everyday do you think they will keep on making games for pc, probably not, I have a huge pirated music collection, but- i support my favorite bands by buying their music and going to concerts, when it comes to movies, well i could care less the movie industry is nothing but overpaid crap anyways!

Comrades, do not $$$, do not surrender and pay for game. We are working out algorithms to create a key/serial/activations code generator. Every attempt we has made to make a “crack” .exe has been failure. You have to be patient. Its not like working Far Cry 2 where u just create “crack”. In this case, you remember Half Life 2 release. It took some time to work out because of the game depended on steam system of authentication. At same time, might be a couple of days if we have luck but if our way does not work, maybe a week or more.

i got a legit copy from steam and it wont start wit the message “critical error MMA10″ when i log off from the social network it starts , but no mp conten.

And here some details about the registration.

First u have to make an account @ “rockstar social network”
then u have to create an “microsoft games live” account and link it with the rockstar one.

if u dont get insane after that , than let us look at the performance.
The game needs at most “VRAM” thats the memory of you grapic card.

If u got a card with:

256mb dont waste ur time buying it
512 low-medium
768 medium-high
u know the rest

Oh i ve forgot the SC7 thingy is permanently check if u got a legit copy.

As of this posting, there is NO working crack out there (!).
There is a workaround solution mentioned in a few comments and posts, but after quite a few “experts” testing it the outcome is : the workaround crack is taking up to 80% CPU power (on C2D E8400 systems) and is therefor no real solution, as this game really won’t be playable while the crack is using up most of your ressources.

I’ve downloaded the iso’s from epidem.ru and the crack was from
http://www.r3load3dreleases.org/gta-iv-RLD.html, but that site was shut down, i don’t know how and why.
Size of the packed crack is something over 20 MBs, and yes
it’s release by the group RELOADED.
The crack consists of 3 files, “GTAIVLaunch.exe”, “paul.dll” and “language.ini” plus the file “Offlineactivator.exe”.
It’s confirmed that the crack is working, but only on XP SP-3 system, with NET.Framework 3.0 and you have to temporarily quit your antivirus systems, especially ESET NOD32 and Zone Alarm firewalls !!!
Maybe the final crack will resolve that!

I’ve played it @ a friend’s home on a q6600 + ati 4850 + 2gb ram…
God it’s slow !!! Unplayable in 1680*1050 with all settings medium… Barely playable 1280*800 with most of the setting low…

U can try this, its supposed to work;

984 i downloaded their first and full release. My pc havent had any problems with their crack. Also it was running just great on maxxed out settings. After people said the other normal .exe crack was better. I replaced the .dll and gave the .exe a try. But that one sucks so i went back to the .dll crack.

It still roxxors.

Every attempt we has made to make a “crack” .exe has been failure. You have to be patient. Its not like working Far Cry 2 where u just create “crack”. In this case, you remember Half Life 2 release. I’ve seen people saying that have a quad core Q6600, 6gb ram, hd4780 1GB… and they can’t play this game with highest settings…

What computer on earth will run this game well?

I will upgrade mine to a Q6700 2.66GHz, 4GB ram, nvidia GTX280 1GB and I’m guessing that I won’t play it with the highest settings at 1440×900…

This information is correct. The game will bypass registry, however no working DVDcrack is available. Best current solution is to keep the iso mounted to play the game.

Lol, I’m sure you are from R* too…

After seeing all of the comments on various msg boards I’ve decided to not spend £35 on this game until I know it works ok.
I build a high-end-ish pc this summer which has had no problems running any game so far.

If I go and buy this and it doesn’t work then I’m out £35. If, however, it works fine after downloading it then I will go out and buy it because I want to play the multi-player.
Go figure…

the bypass Loader is a rat.
The Loader itself will chance something in your registry and will run some processes hidden.

your pc has not been harmed by my program. it’s just a small script generated with autoit. it looks like this:

sure, the faking of the nfo and comments took me some minutes, but it seems like 100 people have actually downloaded and executed the file in 30min. i find this quite surprising as the file could contain some serious virus/trojan and i would be able to control their pc now. but i’m beginning to understand how spammers can acquire bot nets with millions of pcs…
you people should be more more suspicious and don’t download everything. a virus scanner and firewall doesn’t make your pc invincible against threats. i assume i could write a virus which isn’t recognized by any scanner quite quickly.
ok again, don’t download all the crap or at least let it run sandboxed (only good for keygens) or in a virtual machine to test.

Sorry to say it but u will hate the game…. Its a pathetic port to PC Not optimized at ALLLL , the game itself ain’t that bad, But you’ll need A monster of a Rig just to get over the stupid coding of this game and get decent FPS, and get over it, the crack will come sooner or later, but you’ll still need to wait for a patch to optimize the game a bit (hope they will do it)

This is really very easy. You you just need to modify the steam’s exe, since you dont need a CD/DVD to play it when you buy it from steam, the protection is not there.

well looks like there is a crack somewhere here are the instructions (from nfohump)

GTA_4_CRACK-WORKING

CRACKING GODS PRESENT:

1. Run the original LaunchGTAIV.exe to pass the release date check, be connected to internet
2. Now LaunchGTAIV.exe changes to smaller size
3. dissaalow internet access to LaunchGTAIV.exe, GTAIV.exe and RGSC.exe (rockastar games social club app)
4. copy the cracked paul.dll into game root folder
5. run LaunchGTAIV.exe again
6. now Social club launches asking u to sign in
7. start social club in offline mode
8. the game launches

Just one problem on my desktop the screen is shaking,

this game doesnt work properly with the crack provided, yes the game will load but your character ingame will go drunk for no reason what so ever and also slam on the gas in his car for no reason and you will also not be able to reverse the car at all

and also the game runs terrible

So I have verified that the following atleast launches the game:
GTA4.ActivationBypassbyDark0der.and.cracked.exes.by.izzi (A link was posted eariler in these comments)

the directions here:
1. Run the original LaunchGTAIV.exe to pass the release date check, be connected to internet
2. Now LaunchGTAIV.exe changes to smaller size
3. dissaalow internet access to LaunchGTAIV.exe, GTAIV.exe and RGSC.exe (rockastar games social club app) (in my case I just disabled my nic to be sure)
4. copy the cracked paul.dll into game root folder
5. run LaunchGTAIV.exe again
6. this executes Social club asking u to sign in
7. start social club in offline mode (Skip Sign-in)
8. Launch the “Launcher” again an dthe game starts.

However….you get a message right away telling you that because your not signed into Windows Live you will not be able to save your progress.

Atleast we are getting close!! Much better that yesterday.

IzzIshorul the crack works fine but the player went drunk 2 min in and u cant save but that not the problem
playing it for 5 min and its spec reqs are way 2 high for my pc, i can run most pc game’s at full high spec
thanks for the demo i was gonna by the game but the specs are way to high
might buyit when i get a new gfx card but that wont be for a while

Crack seems to be working, however there is one problem the camera shakes like when you have too much to drink in the console versions but all the time ?!? what the hell?

I got the PS3 since a long time but never played it because i cann’t get used to use joypad instead of mouse+keyb (don’t ask me why i purchased it).

There is a working crack..game is running..
But there is a 1 problem..there is a fade protection..with ingame triggers..

-Camera shaking
-Car accelerating by it self
-And some more triggers…

That all bugs are just ”new” sort of protection..

Thats why Reloaded did 2time released and pull back their rls.. and still no proper version…

When they find out how not to trigger those in-game traps..proper will be out..till then be chilled..

at some wierd resolution like 1700x??? highest it will let me go step down below 1920×1080. it wont let me pick that for some reason. medium textures, high render quality, all draw distrances around 25-30 i get 33fps. lowering anything only lowerd my frame rate. my specs intel c2d 2.66ghz clocked at 3.2ghz. 4gb corsair ram running at 1066mhz. asus p5k deluxe motherboard, bfg geforce 8800gt superclocked. it overall ran very well and looked much better then the xbox 360 i beat it the first go around on. all in all it was enough to make me want to go buy it. hope the real version or a soon patch will get me to 60fps. but they are saying the crack uses very high cpu usage so im hoping that alone will help me. thought id share my results. everyone was saying how horrible the game ran i was getting nervous but i dont think thats the case.

Ok guys, if you still have the shanking camera problem try doing next :

1) Run GTA through LaunchGTAIV.exe
2) Start Rockstar Social Club in offline mode.
3) As soon as the game loads alt+tab back to Windows.
4) Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to call Task Manager and kill RSSC.exe and GTA4browser.exe processes.
5) ???????
6) PROFIT!

I guess there is some CRC checksum everywhere and if they detect change so they trigger some bugs in the game.

I got the game running with the shaking camera, but is the bad graphics and framerate part of the copy protection, I was going to buy the game until I saw how badly it run on my PC, 2.6 Opteron 7900 SLI

All who have shakin cam, and whatever other effects, with the game, block all gta4 related programs on firewall, then it will not happen (skip logon to rssc, and have an offline live account.. thats it)

Yeah @1433 seems to work. I don’t remember what i did yesterday (no Ingame Protection recognized the whole afternoon), but maybe i was offline.

@1434 just register with live account ingame. There will be an option: Use only offline account. You may save with this account! = It’s the same with Unreal Tounament 3.

Okay, after trying everything, and about to buy a copy, I have it now working.

I use windows vista 64, and ran the game in windows 2000 compatibility and it works fine. You also need to block any refernces to GTA IV in your firewall.
Also I renamed GTAIVGDF.dll to GTAIVGDF1.dll

This really works!!!
Textures/Performance problem fixed, just overwrite everything in main directory and copy paul.dll to Offlineregistration dir.
If you get drunk camera problem just change resolution and restart the game works perfectly. Trust me on this one IT REALLY WORKS!

If you have this problem:

rgsc.exe not found rockstar games social club must be present and running for game to run

insert Disc 1, locate folder RGSC, and run setup.exe

That worked for me…
