Gothic 3 for PC is here!
The game which was awaited at least as its rival TES: Oblivion is now here, released in the wild in first clone. The good news is, that Razor1911 release also a fully working crack just few minutes ago, so there’s nothing which could stop you from playing this sweetie. I don’t have a much info about the game itself, but after playing Gothic 1 and Gothic 2, I really hope this will be pretty good piece as well. However, be sure you have high-end computer, because the system requirements are bit crazy…
Players saved their home island from the forces of evil in Gothic I and Gothic II. Now it is time to travel to the realms of the mainland, where invading Orcs have enslaved the human kingdom. There are but a few free humans in the nearly uninhabitable icy north and southern desert, and a handful of rebels hiding in the forests and mountains of Midland.
Players can choose to join the rebellion or serve the Orcish Usurpers, ultimately tipping the scales and deciding the outcome of the last war to save the world. There is no simple linear story in Gothic III – every game will be different and unique – but all will ultimately lead to players to decide the fate of humankind.

Isn’t this release german only?
yeah, latest reports say this includes only german language. what a jerks, they could save few gigabytes of downloading by putting one word into the name…
There is a way to make this release English, however it only affects the text (i.e. the menus and the subtitles) – all the speech is still in German… Hopefully there’ll be an English release soon…
Oh, and for anyone wondering HOW to get the text engligh:
“go in the ini folder in your install directory and open up the ge3.ini At the very bottem are some language options, just change text and subtitles to english and there, everything except spoken word in the game is in perfectly fine english”

Funny, Oblivion was badly coded and badly optimize. Oblivion yeah right ‘masterpiece of shait’..
Ain’t with Gothic 3 either JoWooD haven’t had good optimized engine on play since long time their nightmares started with Spellforce 1. Hell, if someone wants to see something beautiful i am talking about true Masterpiece.. Check up ‘Heroes of Annihilated Empires’ it beats any JoWooD engine 100 to 1.

@FECSmith, How did you even get the game working, I have it installed and everything and mounted in Virtual CD but it keeps asking for me to insert the CD/DVD.

hehe.. maybe your right in there.. CoE had absolutely insane optimize also, but I still think HoAE is also superior to very many titles like Spellforce 2 which we can compare that.. Yeah, CoE would be better compare to this title..
Why would we need a savegame? So the Razor crack isn’t fake? I’m skeptical..
I just want to get this game started at least..
Guys i would wait until some miniimage workaround appears. The first patch is already out (it was out at least one day before the release date). And as first reviews show this needs some major patching.

i have tested all cracks until today with the GOTHIC3_mit_OST_made_by_FZR_Seeker_of_Darkness.mdf
But, however (this sems to be only German Version – there is only Speech_German.pak in)there is no way to get it work.
For example the over mentioned Gothic.III.CRACK.ONLY-Razor1911 has 4 files – tue of them under %WINDOWS% and 2 under %GOTHIC 3%.
But however it contains files, that overwrite nothing, because, there are not similar original files.
Other point is – the developer names of these “dll-s” are different as they visible names.
It is in the configuration , as i mentioned above totally useless…
The Protection is: Tages v5.5.2.1
and X-Prot v2 for the game.dll and engine.dll
If anybody get a really working crack please share it.
(And i think, that at least one of the fake Cracks was released by sombody from PB direct….)
For example PB hat direct announced, that they would be satisfacted with the possibility, that no one can make the 1:1 copy to the original.
But as many of us can see, the had more luck than they probably avaited.
(I personally want buy the original game in English – but the gamers on the forum says – there are too many bugs there. Another point is, why shall anybody install for example the VC++ 2005 Express only for one game – this was the answer at the forum for the original DVD problem by PB – this is outraugerous!!!!)
English image is out on TPB but it’s in a Virtual CD image which I do not know how to mount or extract after the rar packs. Since it’s in GOTHIC3.000, GOTHIC3.001, GOTHIC3.ico, and GOTHIC3.jpg. What I heard is you can install the English version but can’t play but if you mount the German one you can play the English one. As fro crack’s, there is already some out on GCW.

Just tested the “Vista Beta1 crack” on WIN2000 SP5.1 and it DOESN’T work.
There is the 60MB patch for the EURO release, you can download it from the official website, but none of the crack(s) shall work with it. Hopefully the protection will be cracked soon and the patches will fix the bugs. I don’t like buying games without testing them first… For real and thoroughly.

the Virtual CD image needs GOTHIC3.000, GOTHIC3.001, GOTHIC3.ico, and GOTHIC3.jpg (and perhaps GOTHIC3.VBL and GOTHIC3.HTM – but these are not really necessary) and a most important file the GOTHIC3.vc6.
These files can be created by Virtual CD 8.0.0.2 (not 8.0.0.4) from any working GOTHIC.mdf or GOTHIC.ISO file.
But the Virtual CD creates all the over mentioned files – but with GOTHIC3.vc4 !
And unfortunately we need(dont ask why) the GOTHIC3.vc6 !
Do not mention, that there are some important settings to do in Virtual CD, before create the correct GOTHIC3.000, GOTHIC3.001, GOTHIC3.ico, GOTHIC3.jpg and GOTHIC3.vc4 files.
I still miss the GOTHIC3.vc6 – therefore i cant tell if it really working or not, but there may be somebody, who has worked the problem already out….
I downloaded an image with an vc6 file, I was able to install the game, too, however when I try to start it, I get a “please insert disk” message …
Anyone with an idea ?
I guess we have to wait …

The Gothic3.vc6 (german version) (http://www.torrentleech.org/download.php/28493/Gothic.3.VCD8CLONE-ST0N3D.torrent) can be monted vith VCD 8.004 (upgrade VCD 8.002 or use free beta version) and can be strated (mount image in PHISICAL drive and try a few times.
BUT: You NEED a savegame tos start, new game button doesn’t work.
Anybody could link a Savegame?? Please!
How the hell can you mount an IMAGE in a PHYSICAL drive ?
Did you mean burn DVD and insert in the physical drive ?
Or did you mean mount the image in the virtual drive ?
If you explain it, I might be able to start it from my PC (I have original but my wife is playing with it on her PC), and I might be willing to upload a savegame somewhere…

Hi guys, i read somewhere that it might work i you install the german version the go to the ini file and change languace and speech to english.. and use the speech pack from the english version, but i didn;t try yet becouse now i’m downloading the ger version… and is a slow process…
If someone finds a way to get the damn thing started please post, i’m considering buying the original game but not ofter i test it 1st

Victory: The game works! (German version)
Used the savegame from torrent.
With VCD 8.004 You CAN mount images in the phisical drive, you don’t have to remove disks either. Only the mounted image will be visible to windows.
A hint for the English-users:

Hi everybody, i’m an italian gothic player, i’ve the original but i’ll have for some days cause i’m selling on ebay, i want to make the copy and crack it,so i want to help you guys with some informations, with the copy of cd i used alchol, there are some sector errors but the copy goes well, but the game required the cd anyway, no crack works till now, i play with the original cd and i make savegames so i didn’t need from torrent, but don’t work anyway with the italian version (i think is european version same of english) the audio is english and subtitles italians, i still wait for a crack, i put the backup cd and the crack but don’t work.
You have to create the copy with VCD 8.004, and then mount image also with that. The game starts only 1/5 tries, so be patient. Haven’t tested with Italian ver.
