I couldn’t care less that those talentless hacks went on strike. When is the last time one of them actually wrote something good? 99.9% of TV shows nowadays are a complete waste of time. The world would be better off without all that crap polluting people’s minds.

I was actually happy when it was annouced that the writers striked, cause regular TV shows really sucked with them but without them I haven’t watched TV since the strike. Now that there back maybe there will be something to watch again on TV, I don’t hold any hope, better than nothing that is on now.
I think its been a couple of months I actually watched TV for more than 15 minutes. I been watching anime online and listening to music and reading outside etc..

I wouldn’t expect but a few of your favorite episodes on most series, some seasons will be called as is I am sure.

When you look at the shows on tv, you can see that most of these writers aren’t good. There is only a small percentage that deserves the big money. This strike could last another year and I would have no problem with it because I have so many movies and shows that I still need to watch.

Anyhow, it doesn’t matter much to me financially as I either get my shows through torrent/usenet or straight from the library if I want to see the extra features.

Ok, concerning DVD prices… also take in consideration the outrages demand they made… OMG, 0.3 percent more per DVD sold!! Thats DOUBLE than what it was bevore… oh no, now I have to pay 0.6% of what the DVD costs to the writers… those BASTARDS!

How stupid can people be? How can you not be on the writers side?
Oh yeah shure, those greedy writers are the bad guys if DVD prices go up because now they get a fiew cents more per DVD sold instead of all the money going straight into the studios pockets, who actualy dont contribute to the “making progress” at all and just sell the product after its done…

Goddamnit people… think for once, k?

Booh, damn mining workers wanting work safety laws and health insurance… now we have to pay more for hour coal. Yeah right… idiots.
Also those pesky little sweatshop kids… if they act up my nike shoes will cost more, oh poor me!

funny how people speak out of their a$$es rather then laying out the facts straight. Writers are the soul creater’s of almost every media driven thing on tv or movies. Without writers we wont have great shows or movies so why do u act as if they are greedy. You would be too if you had next to nothing in salary, when the big boss receives all the profit. Without the “brain” you have nothing…so all the tv viewers and movie watchers you should be defending the writers because they are the ones that created the feeling of wanting “more of” in a show.

why would dvd prices go up? this strike was over new media profits. even then, prices shouldn’t change, as it’s simply a matter of the pie being redistributed more evenly (well, relatively speaking). am i missing something? ’cause it seems only fair to make money off something you had a big hand in creating.
