Legendary car thief/booster Randall “Memphis” Raines (Nicolas Cage) retired from the criminal life in 1995. Now five years later after Auto Thieft in the greater Los Angeles/Long Beach district went down by 47%, his brother, Kip Raines (Giovanni Ribisi) takes over “the job”, employed by British car broker Raymond Calitri. When one night Kip messes up stealing some cars, Memphis gets called back to the life he got out of. His most impossible mission: Steal 50 exotic cars all over Los Angeles and Long Beach and deliver them to Long Beach Harbor, Pier 14 by 8:00am, Friday morning, on the button, or watch Calitri kill Kip. And so Memphis, with the help of longtime friend Otto Halliwell (Robert Duvall) reassembles his old crew which includes sexy Sara “Sway” Wayland” (Academy award-winner Angelina Jolie), a renegade white-haired mechanic by day, bartender by night, to pull off the biggest mission ever. The only problem is the LAPD G.R.A.B. (Governor’s Regional Auto Bureau) is on the lookout and Dt. Roland Castlebeck (Delroy Lindo) and his partner are keeping close eyes on Memphis and his team. Can the team pull this assignment off and collect $200,000 in cash? Will Kip finally realize that car boosting is dangerous? And can Memphis escape Castlebeck and the cops? It’s a long shot, but they may have a chance. Cut to the chase.

    Blu-ray and HD-DVD rips are well worth the download and space. If its waste of space, as said above, get more hard drive space and keep d/lin those low quality films =P

    these DVD5 releases are the way forward IMO. much quicker to download, and not much quality loss from the DVD9 x264 files. WMV sucks my 25st french teachers ass.

    This movie isn’t very good. They have all these amazing cars, but they don’t really do anything with them – except for the stupid “car jumps whole bridge” BS at the end. (Not a spoiler, because you can’t spoil something already bad)

    The older version is not much better, but at least it was made by people who like cars and actually know at least something about them…

    guys, this is not imdb. this is a RELEASE INFO SITE. If you don’t like the movie, either keep it to yourself, or explain why in a sentence or two. DON’T SPOIL IT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVEN’T SEEN IT YET!! just my 2 cents. by the way, i liked this movie… it’s one you watch every now and then.

    transformers hd dvd released the 16th. CAN’T WAIT for the x264 :) .

    Why do most of the BluRay rip groups still leave the black bars? Whereas most groups that rip the HDDVDs take them out, thereby making the file smaller, no too mention eliminating the differences that can occur between the black of a movie and the black of a monitor. HD groups definitely seem to have the advantage of BluRay groups. Hopefully HD-DVD prevails.

    Can this file be burnt on a dual layer DVD??? OR do I need a blu-ray disc and blu-ray burner?????? Does it need to be converted?????

    Yes, it can be burned to a dual-layer DVD.

    It does not need to be converted.

    hi guys. i’ve downloaded some hd-dvd file which are .mkv file. i just want to burn them in a double layer dvd (as each one is more than 6gb)so that i can watch in my home dvd player. I tried convertx to dvd . but quality is much decreased. can anybody please help me by letting me know about the best software i should use and/or the steps in doing so. thx.sorry for being of topic.
