DiAMOND released “Gone Baby Gone” in DVDRip quality not long ago. This movie was previously available on a very nice DVDSCR by group DoNE, so I bet many have already seen it. I have to admit that I had high expectations from this film but was mostly let down by the storyline in spite of a stellar cast including 2008 Oscar nominee Casey Affleck (for his role in “The Assassination of Jesse James“), 2008 Oscar nominee Amy Ryan (Best Supporting Actress for this role), Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris. But that’s just me. Rotten Tomatoes really loved it and the IMDB score is also high above average. Have fun.

Synopsis: Based on the novel by MYSTIC RIVER author Dennis Lehane, GONE BABY GONE marks the directorial debut of actor Ben Affleck. Featuring a solid cast that includes Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman, and Affleck’s brother Casey in the lead role as a private detective, GONE BABY GONE centers on the disappearance of a young girl in the working class neighborhood of Dorchester in South Boston. With plenty of twists and turns, the movie works as a solid crime thriller, but it’s as a study of a place–and one’s ability to either accept and embrace or ultimately break free from it–that the film flowers.

    This release is much worse than the previous DVDSCR release.

    To determine on, just compare the bitrate and/or resolution of the video from each. You’ll also notice that this release has only stereo sound, while the previous release has the full, 5.1 audio from the DVD.

    I agree. 2 disk do suck. I have the worst quality on 2 disk compared to one. Could be crazy but my eyes are still young. I think the groups that release 2 disks want better sound. I hope thats the case, because the picture quality is usually poor.

    The earlier two disc release was fantastic, great AV quality, no warnings or B&W scenes. It easy to make into 1 .avi file using Virtual Dub.

    Also brilliant movie 9/10.

    I think there’s a mistake in the post. “Gone Baby Gone” is based on the novel of the same name, not “Mystic River”. The author is the same for both.

    nothing witty. I understand people who dont have access to top sites etc need to do what they need to do.. but its not safe for them and its not good for the scene. I just wish torrents were rid of altogether.. There are safer methods and using http sites like rapidshare/megashares is very safe for the downloader and uploaders. I support that method 100% but who am I and what voice do I have? Just keep the scene alive and be safe!

    Dont know why, diamond started releasing 1 cd rip. I think diamond was famous for 2 cd ac3 rips. Neways, it s good to have good vdo quality in 1 cd, but i miss the AC3 effect. :-(

    For all those that don’t like 2 disc rips, you are idiots. The bitrate is better, video and audio wise, so you can just sit back and wait for your 700MB aXXO re-encode. Scene standards say that a 2 hour movie requires 2 discs, something is fishy about this release, especially since the REPLICA hasn’t shown up yet. Also, DONE’s DVDSCR did have property messages.

    i love diamond rips but this one has a little problem. just a little problem. the audio plays early for a few ms. i think i just have to fix it with virtualdub.

    i love diamond rips but there is a little problem. just a little problem. the audio plays early for a few ms. i think i just have to fix it with virtualdub.

    Just finished watching it. I’d give it 9.5 out of 10.
    IMO, this was one of the best stories I’ve ever seen on film.
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
