can’t see this taking off the markets saturated with horror & suspense time movies at the moment grindhouse,hills have eyes 2 paradise lost hostel 2 and bug all due out at cinemas
thats just to name the one’s due out not the one’s that have allready been realeased in the last 6 months!

It’ll be interesting to see how this takes off – the lack of any savings for end-users is somewhat worrying, because that will dampen the likelihood of a switch from a potential Windows purchase, IMHO.

I’m also disappointed that – yet *again* – Dell have launched non-Windows machines as completely separate models. Why can’t the configure screens just let you choose Linux or Windows via radio buttons *for the same hardware model* – Dell do this for PowerEdge servers, so why not for desktops/laptops?

Also, if Dell aren’t providing OS/software support themselves, why is there no “no Operating System” option (at a cheaper price?!)? Yes, there’s a FreeDOS option in there, but is it just me or does that look much more expensive than the Ubuntu option (huh?).
