Ok, here is another tutorial. I bet anyone here knows about Gears Of War series. If not, how that happened? :D Anyways, in this tutorial one of the Epic Games designers – Jay Hawkins shows you how to design one of the creatures seen in GOW games. And yeah i know it’s 6 days “old” rls, but who cares…

Description: In this DVD Jay Hawkins works from start to finish on the design for a Gears of War creature called the Locust Hydra. Jay covers everything from the intial thumbnail sketch to the final rendering of the concept used for production. He explains his design process using a combination of Adobe® Photoshop® and Autodesk® 3ds Max®. Jay also delves into his experiences in the game industry and at Epic Games, discussing what it takes to be a successful concept artist in today’s ever changing and highly competitive market, and emphasizing the importance of teamwork for developing a successful game.

    Best game series ever, much better than any trashy japanese game I have tried.

    I forgot Unreal tournament 3, that is also good.

    Hey Faiz, go to gfxworld.ws if you want more gnomon tuts. That site is filled with stuff.

    About this release, I highly doubt you guys are going to get much out of it, other than seeing the workflow the artist uses.

    rather they woldnt post that much 3D, there are specific sites for that, and 3D is already getting so much killspree and a wider variety of artists, feels enough, rahter not have a ton of hill,billys that say : i can do 3D ! and search jobs using this type of examples by doing the step by step tutorials of 3D and then sayng : i did this, all by my self :X i actualy had 2 friends ( super r(tar)ds ) that are like that, one hit actualy a job @Dice, poor su,ck,ers dont realize how litle he knows, and well whadaya know, now they kickd him and looking for a new guy. as much as i like the scenes, i actualy dislike the cart that releases such as these whit no release groups are posted. since this was a groupbuy and got leaked by one of our members 2nd day after release.
    neway blatantly speaking of other things. aint this supposed to keep track of the scene ? Releases of groups ? and so on ?
