Gnarls Barkley – The Odd Couple – 2008

So, since I’ve been reading some comments about people wanting Gnarls Barkley on rlslog, I decided to post it. Didn’t do it before cuz the official release is only on April 8 and didn’t find any descent torrent before. I had the album downloaded from “emule” but it was no use here to pass you the eD2k link :-) . I think that everybody knows this band, after the hit singles “Crazy” and “Smiley Faces”. I’m actually listening to it and guys, I tell you that it’s really nice. Hope you’ll njoy it as much as I do.

Gnarls Barkley has a propensity to appear in costume. For each live performance, as well as each photo shoot and interviews, the duo and their backing band dress in a different set of themed costumes. When performing live, the group will often open with a cover suited to their particular costume. For example, when they appeared as chefs in San Francisco, they opened with a cover of Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like the Wolf.”

    March 14th, 2008 | 18:42

    It would appear so.
“Hot info about new scene releases!” might as well be changed to “Info about moderately new scene/old p2p releases!”

    March 14th, 2008 | 20:53

What is wrong with a P2P release??

Who cares if it was done by some normal guy or someone from the scene.

Its about the QUALITY and not the SOURCE.

If it is a good CD rip why wait for the scene?

Remember Bioshock? Why bother waiting for the scene release when the P2P release worked perfectly fine?

    Some people should quit complaining

  21. Ruff McGruff
    March 14th, 2008 | 21:17

    @DukeNuke

Releaselog – Hot info about new scene releases!

    emphasis on scene

  22. DukeNuke
    March 14th, 2008 | 21:22

This is about the scene though. P2P beat them to release.

It would have been extremely stupid not to have made a post for the Bioshock P2P release.

Good, work! This is definitely a good album. Other albums that are noteworthy for this year are.
    Dr. Dre, “Detox”
    Nas, “N*gg#r”
    Lil Wayne, “Tha Carter 3″
    The Roots, “Rising Down”
These are all hip-hop as I am a hip-hop guy. But these are all more than hip-hop as I am a music guy. Go figure.

  24. Adam Jones
    March 14th, 2008 | 21:25

    btw

Favorite line from the new Gnarls Barkley CD–
Anyone who needs what they want and doesn’t want what they need, I want nothing to do with.
And to do what I want is whats on my to do list.

    March 14th, 2008 | 22:01

personally, i like gnarls enough to not care that this is P2P. but kichy’s several other posts today dont really interest me at all…

no offense kichy, but if you do lots of posts with full tracklisting etc, you fill up more of the page, which means i have to keep on scrolling through and click ‘next page’, which vastly increases the likelihood that ill have to wait five mins for one of those enormous big adverts to appear and let me click ’skip this ad’, by which time ive usually lost the will to live, much less download stuff.

tip – post better stuff, less often. and dont hog the whole page – i dont really want to know about what costumes the band wear, just who they are, maybe where theyre from, any other albums i might of heard of by them, and where i can download it. K.I.S.S.

oh and jon who thinks gnarls is ‘whack’ – good for you, but youre wrong. dangermouse is a genius.

  33. don't worry
    March 14th, 2008 | 22:18

great from gnarls barkley – especially track 05 who’s gonna save my soul – get to see that played live with cee lo’s powerful soul voice – would be awesome!!

  34. Voice of The Black Man
    March 14th, 2008 | 22:26

    @37
lol I forgot Snoop on purpose, I listened to the cd and it is garbo and it is already out. The list is for albums soon to be released/leaked.

  35. lodgar
    March 14th, 2008 | 22:29

the name of the songs dont collaborate with the actually song on this download. the name of the song “She knows” for instance is actually here “Whos gonna save my soul now.” dont know about the rest of the songs, but this is the reason you choose scene releases

  36. IzaHova

    March 14th, 2008 | 23:49

ok. for one, stop yelling at kichy… all he’s doing is letting you know about gnarls barkley’s new album AND, if you want, you can dl it from a p2p source… ALSO this is so you know that in a few days it’ll be releases by some group, so just CHILL. honestly i think that rlslog is one of only “sources” for releases for many of you, so just keep it to yourself.

  41. March 15th, 2008 | 00:27

kichy should really reconsider his new hobby

  42. om-1
    March 15th, 2008 | 00:50

mr x… it’s his hobby so what needs to be reconsidered??? are you his momma… his wife or etceterahs??? if nots how about saying something a little more substantial and quit wasting space…

kichy keeps up the work… it may not be an elitist scene release but you’ve provided others with something to tide those over till the scene cathes up with lol god forbids a p2p release… don’t stop what your doing maybe your posts will get the scene off their high horse and actually post a release

    March 15th, 2008 | 03:45

Ah fook. yeh the track listings are messed up on this P2P release.

Solved by a 1min ID3 edit. If I can listen to it earlier I really don’t care.

I love the track ‘Whos gonna save my soul’.

The rest of the album is ok, I guess, big let down after waiting so long though. Guess its difficult to please fans.

Can’t wait till Metrics new album!

    @ IzaHova and Mr. X…

my apologies… i guess you could say i wasn’t in a proper state of minds when i made previous comment and upon realizing this it was too late… a day wasted at work surrounded by finger pointing and b.s… for lack of better words i was probably just ranting to ease some frustrations… uncalled for as it may have been… will try to refrain from doing so agains

This isn’t even a new p2p release. It has been on torrents/rs for almost 3 weeks, yes, this exact badly tagged version. If it was a new p2p release, or a better version than a previously leaked version, it might be OK, but this exact poor quality and badly tagged release has been around for ages.

So much for “Hot info about NEW SCENE releases!” huh

    March 15th, 2008 | 15:38

kichy just ratted himself to the feds by admitting he DOWNLOADED the release. how stupid can people get. and no less than downloading it from emule. come on. that is lamer than lame.

I believe the ID tags on these songs are messed up. “Run” was “Whatever” vise versa. Who knows what else is wrong here. Also the track # don’t match the right order of songs. Might wanna take a look at this??
