Another great 720p has been released. A few days ago we had the epic film Braveheart also being released on 720p. Today we have Gladiator. The movie is directed by one of my favorite directors Ridley Scott. The movie also stars Russel Crowe in the leading role. I recently rewatched this movie again for like the 10th time and no matter how much times I do, it always entertains me. Anyways, enjoy the classic.

Maximus is a powerful Roman general, loved by the people and the aging Emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Before his death, the Emperor chooses Maximus to be his heir over his own son, Commodus, and a power struggle leaves Maximus and his family condemned to death. The powerful general is unable to save his family, and his loss of will allows him to get captured and put into the Gladiator games until he dies. The only desire that fuels him now is the chance to rise to the top so that he will be able to look into the eyes of the man who will feel his revenge.

    the hdtv one is taken from some tv broadcast, probably isnt extended cut.. this one is directly from the bluray disc

    @7, The HDTV release was NOT extended, so you can't compare it to this release.

    and yes this has better quality, since it's from Blu-Ray.

    The HDTV version would just be upscaled from DVD quality as that is all they would have to work with… so this is much better.

    That's not necessarily true. For HDTV they would probably scan it from the original master and send it out for distrubution, so it would probably be originally 1080(i).
    Not as good as a Blu-Ray 1080p, but definitely better than DVD upscale.

    Actually I prefer HDTV version. Quality is really great and what is more important AR of HDTV-rip is 16:9 not 2.35:1 like this release – Blu-ray has cut off bottom and top part of the picture. Besides i prefer theatrical cut, DC doesnt contain anything special, just more boring political talks and quite stupid execution scene. ESiR's version rulez!

    The ESiR screenshot is darker, that's why it looks better.

    Yes the top & bottom are cut, however there are many scenes in the HDTV release with visible pixelation. In the Blu-Ray release, there are no visible pixelations at all.

    ok, so i got this from rapidshareking.com from the 9 .mkv.001 – .mkv.009 links.. how do I extract those? I looked everywhere on that site to no avail. I grabbed the megauploadlinks, which were split in 900mb chunks. here is the link I got them from… I know how to use winrar and rar files, even when there is no .rar, but there is no info anywhere on that site as to how to join the files.. I am not even sure they are .rar archives. Anybody know? Thanks for any input. here is the link (I am referring to the megaupload links) :
