I tell you somethin that i do.
I recovery files. Other peoples files.
I buy used memory cards, mostly from the internets. I then load them up in memory card reader and fire up a file recovery software.
BANG.
That’s my friday night fun right there. You couldn’t imagine even in your wildest dreams the amount of pictures (other peoples pictures, remember) i have collected and sold. Sometimes i print them out and post them on places like the local market wall, somewhere near where they live.
You see, of course, when i buy the memory cards, i get to know all the personal information of the person selling them.

I blackmailed this one dude cuz i found photos of him having a boyfriend-time with some other dude. He was married. Got good money of that.

This software really works. I purchase a original one but due to many installations over many parents pc´s , now they are not acept my original key, even if it was at only one pc!

The unique issue is that the files are recovered without the original name. Not really a big prob…
After using Privacy Suite 4.0 - Erasure Process Beyond DOD Standards 3+7+3, I tried this out and it didn’t work, previously deleted files = never existed.

@9 that is why i delete my stuff using gutman method with 50 passes, deletes all my crap beyond recovery. well beyond this softwares usefulness, but thanks for the idea I’m going to try that out lol.

Actually an app I bought and never regreted.
And their support is pretty good, they added a file type I needed within 24h after my request.

About this soft: It’s cool utility but personally I using Runtime GetDataBack
If the file deleted physically exists on disk, it can be recovered. Otherwise there is no magic to recover file. Simply as that.

“PC Inspector File Recovery”, was free, still free and very useful, I’ll check this out too.
And if you are gonna dump old drives and mem cards wipe that sh!t. I run a high powered electro magnet over all of the HD’s that go into the dumpster at our office. And who tosses work mem cards? I mean really and thats a nice life you got there @9, your a frickin extortionist and will probably come to regret this when karma catches up w/ you.
@9 thats why i never sell my HD’s (flash, CD/DVD’s SD’s) or or bin them. I keep them

@17, 20: Try to recover after a 1 erase pass. You should get the same result as 2 passes. Or 200 passes (Other than making your harddrive work more anyways), assuming you actually re-wrote the files and didn’t just hit delete or format.
This is a good app I recovered over 8GB of anime series in mkv format in pretty good condition. Although they have been shift-deleted in just the other day prior to recovering them.
I would recommend rlslog to post about DISKINTERNALS CD & DVD RECOVERY, which is an awsome application to recover deleted or crashed CDs or DVDs. There is a version 3.1 out of site diskinternals, but there is no crack for it.. if someone can help…

I used an earlier version of this program to recover data of a broken hard drive a while back, it was the only program out of the several tries to work, so, definitely recommended
