George Carlin - It’s Bad For Ya (2008)

Originally airing as an HBO special a few months ago, VAG has brought us the Audio CD version of George Carlin’s latest, and last, album, It’s Bad For Ya.  On the short list, if not at the top of the list, of the greatest stand-up comedians to ever live, George passed away a couple of months ago due to heart failure.  Between his numerous film appearances, 25 comedy albums, and influence, Carlin has absolutely left his legacy along the world.  According to the .nfo, it’s ripped as one big .mp3, per scene rules, however, it’s nothing a good .cue splitter won’t fix.  RIP George.

George Denis Patrick Carlin (May 12, 1937 – June 22, 2008) was an American stand-up comedian, actor and author who won four Grammy Awards for his comedy albums.

Carlin was noted for his political insights, his black humor and his observations on language, psychology, religion and on many taboo subjects. Carlin and his “Seven Dirty Words” comedy routine were central to the 1978 U.S. Supreme Court case F.C.C. v. Pacifica Foundation, in which a narrow 5–4 decision by the justices affirmed the government’s power to regulate indecent material on the public airwaves.

Geriatric thinks he will make money off the younger generation with this release. None cares you are old. Die already. You wearing depends? Going to make a joke about that?

Your generation of boomers are worthless. All you do is suck up resources and contribute nothing to society. You going to say the F word? Ooooh wow! My hero. Quit collecting social security and stop taxing the younger generation with bonds and taxes to pay for your high life at the golf course. This is one release I won’t support.

    Gen Xer,
You just proved your lack of intelligence with that post. First off, he’s already dead. Secondly, the whole point to his comedy is that the bad implication put on words is stupid. As George says, (paraphrasing here, as I don’t want to go look up the quote) There is no such thing as a bad word. Bad thoughts, but not words. He never went on stage with the express purpose to use as many four letter words as he could. He just didn’t refrain from using them if the need arose. George was a great comedian, and a decent person, which is all he would have wanted to be remembered by.

    Josh,
You must be collecting some nice inheritance to support the greediest generation alive. Hope that money is worth it to you since this is all you will have in life.
P.S. He looks like a Bad Ass on the front cover of his CD.

    Great, great, great.
A true legend. Also i`m glad that people here know and tribute him. Comedy could be much more censored and shallow without him.

    At Gen Xer,
Obviously you never heard Carlin or you would not associate him with a golf course in any way. The great George Carlin has opened the door for most of the comics you see on stage today. He has done more to kill censorship and protect your freedom of speech than you will ever do about anything in your entire miserable life.
“Could somebody put a d_i_c_k in that guy’s mouth please? Cause that’s what he wants. He’s got is mouth open cause he wants someone to cum in it.” – Classic Carlin
