Gears Of War Proper-Razor1911

RELOADED who previously released Gears of War decided that there release was rubbish and nuked their own release (Nuke: grp.req). This is probably down the fact that the installer is in the wrong language (can be easily fixed) and maybe a bad crack. Dont worry though because Razor1911 are back again for the second time in a few hours to bring us a (fingers crossed) fully working crack for this awesome game. If you in the process of have downloaded any of the older releases all you need is this crack which some nice person in the comments can help you out with. Hopefully Razor have learned from there mistakes and this should be the fully working, 100% working, bona fide, final crack for this game. More info on this game here and here.

Note: You can download the THERMOPYLAE or RELOADED (not recommended though) releases and apply this crack and it will work!

    Need help with the checkpoints.

    I had been playing the reloaded version for on spanish with english menus for quite some time.
    I got past ACT 2 and the game worked perfectly.
    I would shut down my pc come back and play form the last checkpoint i left off from.
    Until today, when I had been playing COD4 for 2-3 days…I switched back to Gears and it said NO checkpoint have been saved on my profile.
    Where did they go? everything was running fine. I didnt change any file. Help please!

    TURN OFF YOUR FIREWALL AND ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE
    IN MY CASE, KASPERSKY

    Some antivirus programs detect the WarGame-G4WLive file as malware, and thus the game crashes since the antivirus program is probably not letting this file run.
    After disabling or pausing protection of my Kaspersky, I am able to begin an actual game without crashing.

    HOPE THIS HELPS THOSE OF YOU WITH PROBLEMS!

    ok, so first off id like to say that your probably best off just getting the razor version. but idk if anyone else has noticed this but if you run the WarGame-G4WLive.exe(instead if the startup thing) with the lang.txt file deleted it starts up in English perfectly fine it just wont play the actual game. so obviously at least the English menu files and stuff are there. just need to figure out how to reference them. =/

    i have vista x64 and thermoplaye version. when i dl and overwrited the files, it worked and works, doesnt crashes, everything is in english, including menus, subtitles and voices so try and see for urself.

    So, remind me why we’re still using Rapidshare. No offense, but what the bloody hell happened to Badongo or Mediafire? With that out of the way, I have eight files so I’ll assume that rzr-gowa.iso_2 is the one I should mount. However, after doing that, I can’t seem to run any installation files as they are all 0kb.

    FINALLYYYYYYYY!!!!! The reloaded version works in ENGLISH. ALL MENUS DIALOGUES and subtitles are in english. Great work man! I remember someone else had uploaded these files earlier but it didnt work. I guess some files were still missing or corrupt then. BUT THIS WORKS. Thanks ALOT man!

    You need to use a crossover cable, then set up both the computers for networking, and enable file/printer sharing.

    Should work then.

    Someone uploaded, but it didnt work. This time..i had ALREADY changed all the ESN files to EN. Maybe thats necessary for it to work. So i copied ur files and it worked.

    Another thing…im afraid ill lose the checkpoints if I dontplay the game for some time. Previously, I took a break from this game (was playing COD4) and when i played it again after 2-3 days, all the checkpoints were gone. I had to start form the beginning. Any fix on this?

    The way I do it, I keep FlashGet as my default download manager. And under the options in ur RS account, “check” direct download option. And if you change some option in Flashget, it wont ask you for the confirmation, so I can download a RS link just with one click.

    Anyone else had a problem installing this release? I dont run any apps (apart from windows) off my C drive, but this game seems to want to install to C no matter what i specify it to do in the install menu?
    Any ideas? This is a problem because i run C: on a 20gb drive which dosent have the 12gb’s free. I have another drive with 320gbs free… but it always tries to install to C: =( Halpz plx?

    anyone want to play Gears Of War with or against us just come in to hamachi name gowpcw and password gow

    1: Join/Create a hamachi group and have your opponents and teammates join the group.
    2: disable network adapter for internet, and lan leaving hamachi as the only active one left.
    3: start Gears of War, press enter to get into the main menu. the game is now using hamachi.
    4: swap into windows, enable all adapters again, swap back into GoW and join or host lan game :)

    Can anyone help me???

    I got the reloaded version.i installed the game,replace the exe with reloaded exe.game starts in spanish.i create an ofline account.my saves are stored.

    i try to rename .esn to .en.i got menus in english.

    i try with the files @505 by Ull_Like_Me_For_THIS.splash screen comes in english!!!!

    but then the error message comes
    “you cannot run the game with modified executable code.please reinstall”

    i also try the RAZOR crack.but same problem.i also try reinstalling,moving the two .dll files as mentioned in GOW forum.but no luck!

    hey Ull_Like_Me_For_THIS @505 i try your method.

    i got the reloded version,which is in spanish.i got it working in spanish in XP.but when i replace files with your files i got the first splash screen in english!!!but then the error comes “you cannot run the game with modified executable code.please reinstall”

    after applying your files game is not working in XP which previously works in spanish.

    i try your method also in VISTA 32bit and voila!it works.al menu,language,subtitle are in english.
    but after playing 2-3 hours when i try to open the game next day the same message appears “you cannot run the game with modified executable code.please reinstall”

    i try both reloaded and razor start.exe

    i think i need a mini-image.but there are no mini-image.
    its a real pain to install the whole 10GB again and again.can anyone come up with a solution???

    BTW i can save my game wth offline account.

    Sometimes yes. Find folder XLIVE in documents. I can’t say how becouse i havent english windows:) and remove your save in this folder. Creat new(game>f1), finish one checkpoint, reboot computer and try “continue game”. I hope you understant me.

    I’ve been playing it for about 3 days now and i haven’t had any checkpoint problems, i’ve reboot’d a few times too. Maybe try finding were the checkpoint files r saved and back them up? I think they are saved in my documents/my games/. Hope that helps

    Everyone that has problems with crashing, its simple to fix
    just unload the windowblinds,and you are good to go, for the driver part I’m using
    ( 94.24_forceware_winxp_english_whql.exe ) mabye its the new drivers that make all the mess BTW my card
    (geforce 7800GT gainward :P )
    the game rocks :) ))))))

    Ahhhh almost forgot if u can’t find windowblinds any ware, use windows Search option, just type windowblinds then unload it and have fun cuz I am :P

    @567: I finished atleast half of the game. Had NO checkpoint problems whatsoever. But then I startred Cod4. And after a couple of days…the checkpoints in Gears were gone. I might have restarted my comp..but thats not the problem in ur case so i doubt it that its gonna help. I know where the checpoints folder is. Ill try to back up this time. Letss see.     Has anyone had a problem installing the game in the desired partition or hard disk? I choose a different partition but it always tries to install in the default C:\
    That’s were my OS is installed and not only would I prefer not to install a game there, but it has no room for the huge unpacked Gears of War (I think it’s 12 GiB)

    Those of you having WarGame-G4WLive.exe crash to desktop problem, download the file listed below to solve crashing issue. Be sure to make a backup file for the originals before apply the fix.

    Usage instructions:

    1. Overwrite existing files keeping directory structure.
    2. Launch game and play.

    Live support was disabled (profile will be saved in your My Games folder) and only LAN games will work.
    There won’t be any checks for ping and game will be fully playable over Hamachi or any other VPN.

    If you want to play over Hamachi, make sure that Hamachi virtual adapter is in higher priority than
    your all other network connections.

    Yes, all players will have Player1 as a name, it is not changeable unless you “hex” OnlineSubsystemPC.u.

    Someone HELP.
    I downloaded the game few weeks ago but cannot get it to start.
    When i start it i get a window with Gears of Opening and then it doesn’t go anywhere. My ZoneAlarm says that the game tries to get online, then it stops saying it and the window just stays open and nothing happens.

    I’m not sure what your problem is, have you applied the fix before you run the game? There are two files you need to replace/overwrite before launch the game.
    After unzip/unrar files, put these files in the following directories. (overwrite files when it prompt)

    1) WarGame-G4WLive.exe “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries\WarGame-G4WLive.exe”
    2) WarEngine.ini “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\WarGame\Config\WarEngine.ini”
    3) Start game from “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries\Startup.exe”

    This fix worked for me. I hope it does same for you.

    Did you apply the Razor1911 crack to overwrite/replace Startup.exe? If you did, what is your computer spec?
    Maybe your computer don’t meet the minimum requirement. Try to update graphic/sound drivers.

    Hmm…Your computer spec is far better than mine.

    Here are My Specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo (Conroe) E6400 2.13
    SUPER TALENT 2GB DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)
    ATI Raiden 1650 Pro (Crossfire)
    Vista Ultimate 32 Bit
    250GB Seagate SATA III 7200 RPM
    Foxconn 975X7AA-8EKRS2H LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard.

    I assume you running vista ultimate 64 bit? I’ve heard there are a lot problems running this game under vista 64bit but I could be wrong. There is another temporary fix but you wont be able to save.

    A fix that worked for a few of us so far for the crash can easily be done, go into the Binaries folder and open WarGame-G4WLive.exe.cfg with notepad.
    It will show you this

    And save the file.

    You will then be able to play the game without crash (if you had the same problem as us) BUT BUT BUT

    Since Live is removed (which is what caused the game to crash) you WON’T BE ABLE TO SAVE.

    Sorry, but the game require you to connect to live to save your progress and edit video/audio options. Live would make the bug crash, this let you play as long as you want without crashes, but game won’t save, even if it did before, since it doesnt save on your PC.

    No matter what I do the game crashes before entering a campain, or sometimes at startup, the epic forums are full of complaints about similar problem from hundrets of ppl, game needs a patch badly

    Looks like you have windowblind or iconpackger installed in your system. I’ve heard some people fixed the crashing problems by uninstalling the programs described above. But you may have tried that already.

    I really have iconpackager installed. And I really dont want to uninstall it since I have an Apogee Icon Premium Suite.
    Maybe I should wait until the patch comes out for this game.
    I hope all the problems will be fixed by the patch.

    Mount the iso… done
    Install the game… done
    copy crack startup.exe… done
    Run the game.. NOTHING HAPPENS, this throws me back on the desktop
    Wat do I do??

    Hi guys, got a question.

    How do i burn this .iso into 2 seperate DVD-Rs? In such a way that the installation will ask you for disc 2 when required? Dual layer DVDs are just too expensive

    Hey for all those that wanna play but it ask for a serial just disconnect your internet connection allowing you to make an offline profile your game saves will remain and when you log back in or play the game at a later time it will start you at he last checkpoint. Just make sure you with your internet connection disabled.

    hey luks lyk my installer is corrupt. . it has been at hte decomplression stage for abt 2 hrs now HELP!!!!!. . . does da decompression really take dat long ?

    mine took alot less then that.but idk it went realllly fast..then slowed down alot about half way through..so maybe its your computer idk..

    Finaly a patch is out fpr GOW it fixes the savegames issue and Grafik optimierung for NVIDIA and ATI

    hmm as for the game crashing on startup all i did was minimise the WINDOWS report to a corner and then lt+tab to run the game . .worked smoothly .. . cheers!!!

    Ive applied the razor 1911 crack.
    Replaced Startup.exe, WarGame-G4WLive.exe, and WarEngine.ini

    I get the error, “wargame-g4wlive.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”

    I cant alt+tab… the game is not running in the background.

    herez a dump of the error I guess.. its copied to the clipboard automatically whenever therez a crash

    I need some help guys…

    I was using Vista and I downgraded to XP. Before doing that…i saved my XLive folder..which had every save checkpoint file etc etc. I thought just copy pasting it again when I installed Gears of War on XP would let me play the game where I left it. But it doesnt work. It did recognize my profile but it simply said that ‘no checkpoints have been saved.’ Im on ACT 5..and dont wana play it all over again unless theres no other option. Any suggestions?

    Yo ppz, Razor1911 version seems to work fine, but I keep getting a HUGE system error after starting campaign mode (not back 2 windows, but blue complete crash screen). Tried running it under default video settings and with antivirus (avg) turned off, same thing. Probably a hardware issue? (nvidia gforce 7300 LE) Havent had any probs with other high end games (witcher, bioshock, u name it)
    Any suggestions?
