Gears Of War Proper-Razor1911

RELOADED who previously released Gears of War decided that there release was rubbish and nuked their own release (Nuke: grp.req). This is probably down the fact that the installer is in the wrong language (can be easily fixed) and maybe a bad crack. Dont worry though because Razor1911 are back again for the second time in a few hours to bring us a (fingers crossed) fully working crack for this awesome game. If you in the process of have downloaded any of the older releases all you need is this crack which some nice person in the comments can help you out with. Hopefully Razor have learned from there mistakes and this should be the fully working, 100% working, bona fide, final crack for this game. More info on this game here and here.

Note: You can download the THERMOPYLAE or RELOADED (not recommended though) releases and apply this crack and it will work!

    I also tried the Razor1911 startup.exe with the 0409 lang.txt. Is 0409 what the one from the Razor1911 release says?

    It looks like the Reloaded release should be 100% nuked for all languages other than Spanish.

    So, i donwloaded all files provided by bewb, joined them with HJSplit and got a 7.35Gb file named “rzr-gowa” out of it. Now i dont know what to do with this file at all as i tried to add .zip,.rar. and .iso as ending but can’t seem to unpack, mount or burn it. Any hints? Thanks in advance!

    the spanish clonecd version still crashes with ur lang.txt, i think there are no other language files included in the spanish release…

    could u try to locate anything that looks like language files in your GoW folder and upload a .rar package to RS.com?

    Do not open the rzr-gowa.001 with HJSplit as usual but rightclick “open with…” -> Winrar and unpack it right away without joining it before.

    I think u need to rename all the files to .rar

    For example,

    rzr-gowa.001 will be rzr-gowa.r00
    rzr-gowa.002 will be rzr-gowa.r01 an so on and then u should unrar the files using winrar..

    I had the same problem with Hellgate London too..

    If anyone knows a solution for changing game language to English I’ll really appreciate it. Playing with lang.txt file or changing it with another lang.txt file is not working. Thanks

    Mine doesn’t seem to work. It loads the splash screen, I click Play and then it says “Gears of War has stopped working”.

    I have tried Razor1911 and RELOADED releases. Can anyone help? I’m running Vista 32bit with the latest beta nVidia drivers (8800gts)

    same problme here with the reloaded rel on vista.

    game crashes if lang.txt is removed/changed.

    From the razor911 release, us nuked owners need everything in:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\WarGame\Localization
    and
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\WarGame\CookedPC\Sounds

    that lang file is useless, btw. What good are those language codes if the resources that those codes reference aren’t available? lol

    for those who have problem with lang.txt after the error occurs if you press Ctrl+V (paste) onto notepad, you get this message:

    Failed to find file for package Startup for async preloading.

    RaiseException() Address = 0×7c812a5b (filename not found)
    CxxThrowException() Address = 0×78158e69 (filename not found)
    Address = 0xfb0a12 (filename not found)
    Address = 0xe8781b4c (filename not found)

    i think those are the name of the file thats required to play the game in english

    Have the RELOADED release..and the razor crack. Still the game doesn’t work. Played it in spanish just for the heck of it…its SOOOOOOO amazing!!! :(

    someone please find a fix for a reloaded release.

    Look a few posts below the original and I posted the correct crack.

    @248 ie muzz. You shoulda got the Proper Razor 1911 release. The Reloaded release has a bad installer and a bad crack.

    I have the razor release, same problem its in damn spanish, deleting the lang.txt file does not work. The other file posted does not work either, using that or deleting the file crashes before start. Oh noez helps!

    @249: Too bad I only found out after I downloaded it. Once i read that editing the file would solve the prob, I didnt bother reading the comments. It plays perfectly alright in spanish though. So how could the installer be ‘bad’ or even the crack?

    Razor release is working? So should I wait for a fix or just download the Razor 1911 release? Coz my rapidshare account would reach its limit then and I wanted to download COD4 as well.

    I tried playing single player but it says I must be signed into a Live profile in order to save the game process, etc. Also if I want to play lan on MP i need to be signed on as well. I do have a games for windows live profile, but it asks me for the cd key. Please help

    Sigh, I don’t want to redownload a 7.5 gig file just because I don’t have the english files. I’ve fixed up the lang.txt and all I need is the actual English files and it should run now. Can anyone be nice and upload them for us?

    Insomma sotto quelle cartelle LOcalization manca qualcosa??? mancano proprio dei files?? se il tuo è in inglese che cartelle ci sono… volevo capire questo..

    BTW guys you must download the Razor1911 proper, you cannot patch the RELOADED copy with 1911 crack (i tried this and it failed)

    all I had to do was install it and copy over the crack and it runs fine in english

    But you have to have the razor1911 iso, not just the crack, the reloaded image is bad

    (NOT TESTED)

    i already deleted the spanish version from my harddrive so i’m unable to test this, but i’ve uploaded
    a .rar package which contains the following folders of the proper english razor rls:

    “\Gears of War\Binaries”
    “\Gears of War\Engine\Config”
    “\Gears of War\Engine\Localization”
    “\Gears of War\WarGame\Config”
    “\Gears of War\WarGame\CookedPC\Sounds”
    “\Gears of War\WarGame\Localization”

    a total of about 650 MB (unpacked)

    save your bandwidth, it still won’t work…

    one guy got the game (THERMOPYLAE release) to start after he unpacked my archives in his GoW dir and deleted the lang.txt from the binaries folder, but it went down again after the microsoft logo video… i bet there are still files missing but i don’t know how to figure out which ones…

    i’ve tried replacing the 0c0a in the lang file in the THERMOPYLAE version with every value from comment 242… every other file seems like it’s the same so I’m not sure why it isn’t working…
