GameJackal Pro v2.9.18.565-YAG
This applications might be useless for most people who read releaselog as most games nowadays have a crack or mini image etc but there are some who prefer an app like Game Jackel. Developed by Slysoft (used to be developed by Jacal Consulting) famous for there AnyDVD line of software it simply creates a “profile” of a game which it then uses to bypass the protection system. There’s downside to everything though and with Game Jackel its that it doesn’t work with games which use the StarForce or Tages protection schemes. It should work for most games though as StarForce and Tages are not as widely used as others. Could come in useful with people who don’t want to or cant mess around with there game installations. I’m sure someone will find this useful as Slysoft wouldn’t of bought it if they didn’t think they would make money from it.

Well, the difference being (in most cases) you don’t have to do anything extra when a patch is applied to a game. The profile you created in GameJackal should (unless some new kind of protection was introduced, ya never know) continue to work just the same as before.
Anyway, 2.88MB hardly qualifies as bloatware when the program has pretty much just the features required for its stated purpose. There’s some extra functionality available through plug-ins. Some cracked EXEs are bigger than that. ;P

Why not use Alcohol 120%?
Why not use Daemon tools for that matter? It’s free, and it works better than any other software.
Size, for one. I have like 23 games profiled and GJ profiles takes up 243MB of space. The amount per profile is variable, but you get the idea. Obviously GJ isn’t going to be the solution for every game, nor every person. I personally think it’s a handy little program.
