Gadget: Coloured water from your faucet

Some gadget manufacturers are probably completely out of mind with new products, so they develop even things, that noone actually need and I’d also say that noone can buy this. A special LED light which can be installed at your faucet will change the colour of the water. With two basic colours, it can also easily distinguish cold and warm water.

The product description is quite funny: Tired of that same old monotonous water? Bored with water that doesn’t look like futuristic alien mouthwash? Need to make your midnite bathroom appointments more exhilarating? Then you need to get the LED faucet light attachment from ThinkGeek. You can turn any faucet in your home into a streaming fantasia of techie-bliss in just minutes. How does it work? Just attach to the end of your faucet (universal adapters included), and when the water flows through the magic chamber, it simply turns on the LED array and illuminates the stream with soothingly powerful hues. Well, if you have extra 20 bucks and “standard” US faucet, this may be a good thing to look cool in eyes of your neighbours :) .

@ sodaboy from that comment I’ll assume you are one of the tewls complaining that tech news articles aren’t about torrents. Tho trying to turn it into a bash the US post is something i almost always agree with…..

The fact is the average user age here is about 14. I’m severely past that and it shows everytime I start ranting here. And since the ’spam protection’ was enabled most of these kids can’t post anymore cause they haven’t learnt basic math skills.

The other users are young people desperatly trying to act mature, usually by telling the other users they aren’t.

    Which category are you in?

P.S. If you are wondering, I’m in my own category. The people that liked this site until they read some of the comments and now make it a point to come and point out the retards on a daily basis.

Usually creating a thread in another forum about how stupid most of the people here are, and usually on IRC aswell.

They already have that it’s called LSD. IT comes in several styles.

    Blotter (paper)
    Microdot (pill)
    Liquid (duh)
    Cubed (coated sugar cube)

But they can’t tell you what color it will be that’s up to your brain.

Whoa! This is a wonderful item for those with disabilities! Especially for diabetics and others who suffer from nerve damage so that they are unable to tell whether the water coming out of the faucet is hot or cold. Make fun of it all you want — for those who need this item, it is perfect!

I got one of these. The thing is, is that very often, water doesn’t drain through it completely when you turn off the water which leaves the light on (draining the batteries). Oh you can tap the darn thing to make the water drain out when you turn off the water, but to have to tap it almost all the time? What a pain! I took the damn thing off the tap. Don’t waste your money on this until they perfect it.

The original design is by Hansa (german company) and the thinkgeek is just a cheap copy.

The original can be found on this page
