My kind of TV show but there seems to be only 3 episodes from different seasons online and this is Season 3 already. I think my favorite in this category is Tank Overhaul which for some reason ran 4 episodes and all 4 were amazing. Do a search for it if you enjoy historical armor.

Be good if they did a program about genetic weapons. The Isrealis are said to be developing them and the old South African government was said to have researched into them for possible development of a program.

Why are you calling that a sniper rifle when it has the designation of being an infantry rifle?

    There’s a difference.

“he IAR combines the size of the M4 and power of the SAW in one weapon.”

Um… so does an M4… they fire the same round.
As far as turning the M4 into a squad support weapon goes the Shrike has been around for years:

    Shrike is vaporware.

It’s not about what round you fire, its about sustained fire rate. A heavier, more ventilated barrel, and perhaps a piston instead of direct gas operation, helps with that.

The IAR is not anything new; it is an AR-15, with some glitzy aftermarket modifications and paintjob you could peice together with a few hundred dollars.

M4 with a C-mag is the same deal. SSW’s are just weapons that can sustain a longer rate of fire. Sniper swapouts on infantry weapons such as weights, barrels and bipods are why they call that weapon a ’sniper rifle’. It’s like gutting a car and suping up the engine… it’s now a racecar when before it was an economy car.

Strangely the only special thing about the IAR is that it has no bullets in chamber when not firing and so cooling of a lot faster .. but i still think that you also would use the M-249 because it has more than 30 rounds ….

I just watched it and it does make a lot of sense. However like the AK-series weapons the IAR changes from the accurate M4 style to AK open bolt inaccuracy at full rate of fire.

I still don’t understand why C-mags were not employed which can handle 50 and 100 round capacities. The revolution is the quick change open / closed bolt to allow semi accuracy to full auto suppression. This weapon so much reminds me of the Browning Automatic Rifle. A similar weapon called ‘Ultimax100′ from singapore which has been around for a while.
