Future Focus The Planet WS PDTV XviD-WPi

My favorite group, WPi, caught my attention with yet another good release. This was created in Scandanavia in two years of hard work. If you’re into thinking about the planet and not just celebrities and all that drama, then this docu is for you. The docu interviews many intellectuals with their perspectives. The camera work is very spectacular and breathtaking. This is a wake up call – reflect on what human impact has on the world as a whole and the other species we are hurting. Audio goes slightly behind sync during the show but is tolerable. On another note, today I was reading this article about e-waste earlier today, and was surprised to see how this impacted Nigeria. Here is what it looks like. The Planet is a hot-from-the oven attempt to find answers about the truths and untruths of the alarming global changes that many claim are already in motion.

It is the most extensive documentary project to ever be produced in Scandinavia. The film crews have been working for more than two years and have visited over 25 countries around the world. The extraordinary visual style and the unexpected content in The Planet will ameliorate the indifferent attitude many people have with regard to climate change.

The Planet is about much more than climate change. It’s about the earth as a whole – it’s about the overall global changes we are experiencing right now.

The Planet is part of SBS Television’s Future Focus, six weeks of innovative, insightful and thought-provoking programming dealing with environmental, scientific and social issues critical to our future on this earth, airing from 10 April 2007, only on SBS Television. (From Sweden, in English)
