Frost Nixon LiMiTED DVDSCR XviD-DoNE

I havent really heard much about this release until i saw it was released so i went and checked out the trailer and it looks really good, i usually love films like this and also has very good score of  8.3/10 on IMDB and 92% on RottenTomatoes. Frost/Nixon is directed by academy award winner Ron Howard. Keep in mind that it is a DVD screener so there could be black and white / watermarks later on in the movie although there are none in the sample.

For three years after being forced from office, Nixon remained silent. But in summer 1977, the steely, cunning former commander-in-chief agreed to sit for one all-inclusive interview to confront the questions of his time in office and the Watergate scandal that ended his presidency. Nixon surprised everyone in selecting Frost as his televised confessor, intending to easily outfox the breezy British showman and secure a place in the hearts and minds of Americans.

Likewise, Frost’s team harbored doubts about their boss’ ability to hold his own. But as cameras rolled, a charged battle of wits resulted. Would Nixon evade questions of his role in one of the nation’s greatest disgraces? Or would Frost confound critics and bravely demand accountability from the man who’d built a career out of stonewalling? Over the course of their encounter, each man would reveal his own insecurities, ego and reserves of dignity — ultimately setting aside posturing in a stunning display of unvarnished truth.

What is wrong with that? Its a custom google search that searches multiple torrent sites (Newstorrents, TPB and Mininova) so once its up at any of them it’ll show, it just makes it easier for everyone rather than me posting several torrent links it can all be done in the one search… Its not lazy at all just a lot easier for everyone :|

    December 9th, 2008 | 16:54

Or perhaps “beyond lazy” is someone like you not being able to do the search themselves.

And then also asking if someone can scan the movie for watermarks, etc. for you.

    You lazy fat slug.

It’s 2 CDs to preserve the quality. It’s a 2hr movie. In order to keep the bitrate up Done used 2CDs which for a DVD-rip is a great move.

  33. @30
    December 9th, 2008 | 18:00

its a form of redundancy, its easier to redownload a single CD’s worth of data than to download twice that.

Besides some people still use CD’s to watch releases.

  34. @32 33
    December 9th, 2008 | 18:07

I still don’t get it (but I’m sure someone will try to convince me). How about just rip the DVD to one decent bitrate xvid file, and be done with it. Can anyone here honestly say that they use and appreciate 2CD rips? Anyone prefer two separate pieces to one? I just thing it’s had its day, and let’s get on with things.

People who watch things on CD need to be shot, rules around file size are outdated and should be addressed.

Having a movie split into two 700mb files is so frustrating. Surely people can afford a DVD drive for their computers in this day and age?

Who would ever need to? Aren’t we all on high-speed? Can’t we all manage to download a single 1GB+ file without breaking a sweat? C’mon!

Now where is that single file, single link download for this? or at least a single file torrent?

2cd’s is better than 1 since you’re getting better audio and/or video quality. And it’s all 1 file once you join them anyways so who the hell cares?!

Once again amerikans get fed rewritten history instead of the real thing, and they lap it up!
Anyone truly interested in what was really said between Nixon and Frost (a well known zionist) would do better to watch the original interviews, even though they had been heavily and selectively edited (over 80% of what was said was cut from what finally screened).
Instead of that future generations of amerikans will use this rewritten rescripted take on what Ron Howard believes was what should have been said between to the two, to excuse the criminality of the first amerikan prez to have been actually caught stealing, bribing and killing. Plenty of others before had done similar. See johnson, kennedy or eisenhower – the three that preceded nixon. You will find similar levels of greed and criminality. Further back the same.
Why the rewrite? To polish up the myth of the amerikan prez as god – some superior being who is all seeing, omnipotent and can do no wrong. This spread of this myth both inside and outside amerika is vital, how else can the criminal empire be expanded to swallow up any people or resources it deems necessary for its survival, but which in fact are only necessary because the crooked elites who finance the prez have decided they want whatever ‘it’ is.
The only lesson to be drawn from the nixon era is that shrub or obama could never be busted the way nixon was.
The widely held (well held by the supreme court anyway and that’s what matters) belief in a unitary executive where a prez cannot by definition break the law, because if the prez as commander in chief orders that such and such be done – then whatever it is, is legal because the prez ordered it.
catch-22 – absolute tyranny by some of the most unappealing, greedy and corrupt low lifes to have ever walked the earth.

Proof that the 2 CD theory is nonsense, have any of you heard of the uploader aXXo? This person only uploads high quality DVDrips and even when the original DVDrips have been released as 2 CD’s, he always condenses them down to a one CD volume! I have watched the exact same movie titles on my TV using a divx player, the original DVDrips that are a 2 CD set and the aXXO rips’ of them, there’s no difference!

If you’re just going to be watching the movie once or twice, I’d much rather have a one CD volume for the purposes of downloading. If it’s done well like with aXXo releases, why do you need to waste your time downloading twice the amount of data for the exact same movie?

    @78

    Tom W.

    You are such an idiot.

Have you noticed that 2CDs are much better for the mere fact that they contain the original Dolby Digital soundtrack whereas your axxo releases only have MP3 encoded at 128 kbit/s.
The video quality is better, too. The video bitrate might be around 200 kbit/s but still that is quite a substantial difference for an MPEG 4 style video ! Ever seen the difference between 500 kbit/s and 800 kbit/s. Day and Night! Axxo look really good, that’s true and mostly they are good enough to me and even look good enough on my 1,05 m diametre long TV set but I mostly prefer the 2CD releases because of the much better, clearer surround sound. MP3s especially suck when it comes to music, for dialogue it is OK, but not for heavy metal music during the movie. Hell no !

1CD release are also only suitable for a certain length. A movie 150 mins long definetely deserves more than 1 CD ! The very good ones even get 3 CDs.
I like the fact the file is split because you can put them on two CD-Rs and CD-Rs are way better for archiving than DVD-Rs. They last many many years whereas a DVD-R can already stop working after around 1 year. I love those 2CD releases and always try to download them. As I said audio is way supperior and video is better, too, not much better but noticable. 1CD releases I prefer for shorter movies like 80 mins long just like Jumper with Samuel L. Jackson. That one looked great because the movie was only less than 90 mins long.

Wonderful video quality ( better than any 1 CD DVD release ! ), perfect sound, definetely not a telecine but a proper DVD quality release. Good enough for archiving, thank God for this wonderful release. 10 out of 10. Best screener I might have seen in my life next to the Kill Bill Vol.1 DVD Screener by the same company Universal.

Not looking forward to the DVD rip because this one just looks like one. Wonderful !

@78 & everyone else who cant understand English

Firstly, no one here except the above mentioned illiterates are talking about file size. They are arguing about the fact that a 1.4Gb is spilt into two 700mb files for 2cds and not just one file. The argument about whether a film should be in a 700mb file or 1.4gb depends on there length, but I personally prefer the 1.4gb all the way. @78 if you really cannot notice the difference between, lets say 300, on a 700mb and 1.4gb, you are as blind as my third eye sir.

STFU about axxo, non scene gypsy. As far as I am concerned (and most people with valid views and an understanding of the scene) the world would be better off without that re-encoding mountain goat blower.

@90 LOL. News servers are so 1990s, you talk like they are some big new thing. They have been around for ever and now are the home of pedophiles and pirates, I’ll assume you are in the latter of the 2. But they do have one advantage over torrents, Traffic only goes one way so you conserve your bandwidth.

yes they are old , but still the best way to download releases fast and are not fakes, just saying i moved over to use them and would never go back , it was a step forward to the releases of stuff , which i always download at a steady 800kbs , and get them before anyone else, so its all good for me matey

2 cd releases look better 99% of the time, it’s simple – DVD = 4.7gb, cd = 700mb so the divx cd is 6 times compressed, a 2 cd
is 1.38gb which is only 3 times compressed so has better picture resolution

    Hey Marcin Wilk (@83):

Do you know the rules here? No insulting! What did I say? Did you read my opinion? What did I say for the second and last time–I’m asking you?

I said that if you’re just going to watch a movie once or twice–what did I say? I said once or twice than what the hell does it matter? I’m not deaf, I don’t need to hear the exquisite sound differences of the sound track of a movie! Question: Did I miss any of the dialogue? Answer: No! Question: If I’m not keeping a library of movies and I’m just burning the avi files on DVD+RW’s and erasing the DVD discs after I’m done only to reburn more movie titles and start this process all over again–is there something wrong with this? Answer: NO!

So in the end, who’s the idiot for wasting their time downloading every movie twice (i.e. in 2 cd volume) rather than just once (i.e. in a 1 cd volume)–you are!

    To funkyjebus (@87)

First read my post to Marcin Wilk, post #95. Second, know the rules–no insulting! I’m not blind! I did not say anything to the fact of comparing the difference between a 300 mb and a 700mb file!

Again I stand by my original post! And I stand by my post #95–what did I say? And regarding non-scene posters, most don’t know how to rip music CD’s more or less than how to properly rip an actual movie! Most non-scene re-rippers get movies out of sync; haven’t they heard of checking their work through the standard application AVI-Mux GUI? For you to criticize aXXo, you would be the laughing stock of the Internet! This person is the number 1 ranked uploader of DVDrips! His/her quality in sound and video is excellent and unless you’ve never downloaded an aXXo DVDrip, you should keep your mouth shut!

I don’t think people who are against 2 cd releases are NOT against having movies that are 1.4 GB. Its they are against the fact they are split into 2 files! I know you can use programs to combine the 2 parts of the movie together into 1 file, but it just seems an unnecessary step. The only reason to have 2 files is the random person that burns them to cd’s, which does seem very outdated. I would imagine the vast majority of people that have the technical know how to be downloading these movies, have dvd burners on their computers. Thus why doesn’t the scene get rid of splitting files into 2 cds, and just release nice 1.4 GB movies in a single file?

great movie. This has no watermarks in the whole movie except two small parts (last 10 sec. each) text goes on the very bottom of the screen (not annoying at all) saying the screener is for rewards consideration only … it goes away very quickly.

@60 and others needing correct password
OK, seems it isn’t your fault the password was wrong. When you post a comment here with a web address in it, it automaticall adds the http:// to the address. Just take that part off the password, and it’ll work.
