Frontiers 2007 UNRATED LiMiTED DVDRiP XViD-HLS
I was never a fan of horror movies, but it seems like I get to write about all the sick and twisted foreign ones lately. This French horror thriller has a particularly disturbing plot and is rated a dreaded NC-17. Expect “extreme sadistic graphic violence and gore”. Judging by the synopsis, nudity should also ensue, in one morbid way or the other. The release is standard 1 CD with MP3 audio. Good overall quality, compliments of top scene group HLS. Note that HLS included English subtitles to go with it, although they are not in the torrent provided. Links to subtitles will come up shortly.

Synopsis: Yasmina is a poor girl who has never known a life outside of the ghetto, and she sees the riots as an opportunity to stage a series of smash-and-grab robberies that could provide her with the money needed to improve her lot in life. After rounding up a few pals and robbing a few businesses under the cover of the chaos, Yasmina and her friends are pursued by the police and forced to split up. Before they part ways, however, they all agree to regroup at an inn just outside of Luxembourg. The proprietors of the inn are the Von Geisler clan.
Led by a tyrannical, jackbooted patriarch, the Von Geisler’s are a curious lot who at first appear to be stuck in the past. But the Von Geisler’s aren’t just eccentric, they are devoted Neo-Nazis with a twisted fantasy of starting a new master race – and they have chosen Yasmina as their Aryan Eve. Now, in order for Yasmina to escape a grim fate as a fascistic breeding machine, she and her friends must fight for their lives against the brutish Von Geisler boys and their savage sisters in a vicious battle that will transform this once peaceful inn into a blood soaked abattoir.

Out a LONG time ago in R5. No nudity at all. Pretty violent but the Saw films and Hostel films are just a little less violent with it really. Good film though. Much better plot than Saw 2-4, and Hostel 1-2.

this has to be one of the goriest, nastiest films to be shown in cinemas during the last years (along with another french horror of late, a l’interieur) and people here care whether it shows a boob or two? grow up!
I’ll tell you more. There is an implied sex scene but right before she can start doing up and down it cuts but the chicks keep their bras on in the very dark light.
hostel sucks and to be honest this looks pretty piss poor. If you want to watch a new good horror movie just download [REC] you won’t be disappointed.

I always enjoy a horror movie that involves mutilation of the male scrotum. For some reason, I just love to see pain and torture inflicted on the balls.
Whether it is using lead weights tied to a rope and hanging from the balls while you have the vitim walk around, or applying a vise and slowly tightening it until the victim begins to scream, or even tying a victim down and attaching clothespins to every available place on the balls…all methods are erotic in some strange way.

A few are Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dawn, Day, and Night of the Dead/Living Dead, Evil Dead 1-2, and there are plenty more

Thanks for the links! But one think I do request: Please don’t include the sample in the RAR-files. Whoever downloads the complete movie doesn’t need the sample-avi included in the rars. It’s just a waste of download and bandwith – especially for those of us who can’t download with 300 kb/s or more!

The rar files will always have the sample avi in them. It’s just the way the scene is. I’m sure someone more knowledgable than myself can explain the reason for it. But now days, 15mb or so, does that really make a difference?

If you are thinking about d/l this one, this is the film that was even too “hardcore” horrific for the 2007 Horrorfest, and was replaced at the last moment.
And concerning availability upon retail release on DVD, unless they do something, like decide to slap an unrated rating on this one, you won’t be able to get it at Wal-Mart or B-Busters.
Remember, for films like these, always trust your cashier, especially if he’s a gore hound.

One of the best horror films in recent years. Way better then anything the Americans are churning out. All those Japanese remakes and PG-13 crap is stupid. The French are doing REAL horror. The way it should be.

I watched the PWD rip of this in the weekend, and I give Frontiere(s) a very high recommendation, after this one, L’Interieur and Haute Tension, french horror is definitely the best there is right now.

I have to agree, the French are currently reigning masters of the horror genre. I saw “À l’intérieur (2007)” last night and my jaw was on the ground. That movie… holy sh1t… Disturbing, bloody and very tense.
Spain is also producing some great horror movies lately. Although not as gory as anything from France. “The Orphanage” and “[REC]” were very effective and very different movies.
Going to see this one tonight. Hope it’s good! I’ve also been told that I might enjoy “Sheitan (2006)” and “Ils (2006)” both from France.

There must be proper interpretation of words that make believable the action on the screen of cinema. Above most all, needed is more time to read the action of the words that are described. Two full lines for one second…brain hurts to read!
If anyone ever comes up with some passable subs, please post. The current one’s are laughable, if not frustrating…
