Friday (5/02/08) TV Roundup

There isn’t much on tv tonight, and I needed a stress reliever, so I saw Iron Man in the theaters. It wasn’t bad at all. I figured I’d do my part to give back to the economy. See, downloading movies doesn’t take away from box office sales, because if I really want to see it, I’ll pay to go see it in the theaters. As for a shitty movie or a movie I know nothing about, if I didn’t download it, I would never watch it regardless. Plus, if it is a good flick, I may even recommend it to friends, so downloading movies actual makes the studios more money. There, in 20 seconds I justified downloading movies. In terms of tv tonight, Man vs. Wild returns tonight, along with a new episode of Moonlight. Be sure to check it out, even though Man vs. Wild is no more real than Moonlight. Enjoy.

    Dumbest argument ever, but a popular one amongst parasites. You’re not paying for the movie itself, you’re paying for the right to watch it, as well as the experience. It doesn’t matter if it’s a positive or a negative experience. Apparently you DO want to watch the movies you download, since you’re download and watch them. Got asny other generic parasite arguments that doesn’t hold up?

    Are you kidding me? I don’t even watch half the movies I download. I just end up deleting them because I don’t care to see them. Let me guess, you go pay to see every movie in theaters ever? Guess that makes you really cool.

    Whilst direct links are great, rapidshare has a 1 download a day limit for free users. It would be a lot better if people used services without limited downloads for free accounts. zshare has unlimited simultaneous downloads for example.

    Max: No, I download movies as well, but I’m not a hypocrit. I realize that what I’m doing is both morally and legally wrong, and mostly disrespectful against all the people that made the movie. I’m not trying to justify it by making up hollow arguments as to why I should be entitled to get something for free that I didn’t help make or pay for. It’s egocentric to be a parasite.

    What’s up with these TV-roundups? And 90% of the text is about some lame “justification” for downloading movies. I would much rather have the good/popular shows beeing presented as it used to. If I want to see when a show is released, I’ll just use next-episode.net, predb or anything. This is just lazy. Get a grip folks. Not even a little comment, nfo, sample img, just listing the releases.. Djeez.

    I agree. I would see more movies in the theaters if I didn’t download them. The only movies I see on the theater nowadays are good action movies.

    And parasites are marvelous creatures in nature. I have no problem being a smart one in society. Downloading stuff from the internet is the safest criminal activity available, deal with it.
    After all, you lose money, I save money. And in this society, money is important you know. You can’t buy anything with morals.
