    Address Not Found

Firefox can't find the server at http://www.rlstalk.net.

The browser could not find the host server for the provided address.

    * Did you make a mistake when typing the domain? (e.g. "ww.mozilla.org" instead of "www.mozilla.org")
    * Are you certain this domain address exists? Its registration may have expired.
    * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check your network connection and DNS server settings.
    * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

  12. Mind Freak

Also getting this error in Opera. I am guessing some IPs are blocked on some firewall on the server OS, or whatever it is.

    Error!
    Could not locate remote server

You tried to access the address http://www.rlstalk.net/, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.
Make sure your Internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working.

    January 2nd, 2009 | 08:18

@ Mind Freak – Try with http://rlstalk.net (without www).

    It's not because of firewall.

    January 2nd, 2009 | 08:24

My IE can't get to either http://rlstalk.net/ or http://www.rlstalk.net/.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
    Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
    The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

  15. Mind Freak
    January 2nd, 2009 | 08:25

Nope, no matter which browser, or how I type the address it just will not recognize for me.

Even tried with Internet Explorer, so I have no idea at all.

See, the funny thing is that everyone who whines, has no life. If they had a life, they wouldn't whine, but go do something productive with their lives, maybe go outside. Oh and @28, I'd like to see you do a better job.

@ All who say that it doesn't work – It may take some time until DNS propagate for everybody, so just wait, if you really want you can use http://www.opendns.com to make it work.

Can't say I miss it, bit much useful in there anyway. Kill it and add a login and ignore system to this site instead so we can ignore the id1ots that spam RS links and such. Then at least you would have ONE good site.

  41. Tony
    January 2nd, 2009 | 14:52

For who can't still access the forum, try to flush your DNS cache.
    Instructions
    - Start -> type cmd in the 'Start Search' field (Right click on it and choose 'Run as administrator')
    - In command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns
    - Done! Window DNS cache was flushed.

Is it just me, or are people on the internet becoming increasingly more stupid/ignorant? If you don't like something, you try not to do it again. You say this site is crap, yet you KEEP coming back. Infact, you come back and spend your own time arguing over the internet. Do you really not have anything better to do with your lives? (Rhetorical question)

Can't get onto the forum as of yet, will keep trying.

I am online right now without proxy, but use that until your DNS are refreshed.

    what is RL Stalk?
    Real-Life Stalk?

  56. ScHAmPi
    January 2nd, 2009 | 21:49

For those people that are still having trouble accessing the forum. It's probably a DNS issue, this is a temporary fix. It works for me so it might for you guys.

Backup your C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file. Then copy it to your desktop. Open it up in wordpad and add these two lines:

    94.102.49.66 rlstalk.net
    94.102.49.66 http://www.rlstalk.net

Save it and copy (and replace) it back to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\.

Once the issues are solved you can put the backup of your hosts file back.

    Greetz,
    ScHAmPi.

  57. DNS
    January 2nd, 2009 | 22:51

its not a dns issue, all dns servers resolve to same address
its more the host or server incorrectly blocking certain traffic

  58. ScHAmPi
    January 2nd, 2009 | 23:07

Well whatever it is… I can't ping rlstalk.net when I don't add those lines to my hosts file and I can when I do add them. nslookup of rlstalk.net fails.

So for me it IS a DNS problem.

  59. masterfish
    January 3rd, 2009 | 19:35

Well that makes no sense, the only way onto the site for me is through a proxy and now other sites I regularly use do the same thing. I tried every fix in these comments. So if anyone figures this out let me know.
