Got a friend who wants (I hate football games..and football in general) this but is as dumb as a tree with computers and I have to make it as simple as possible for him.
As far as I know Yasu is for use when mounting images.. can it be burned to cd without any preamble?
Can be burned, I’m just not sure if the copy-protection on this will kick in or not because it’s CloneCD, not the cracked version…
Yasu is only a anti blacklisting tool, it stops games recognising programs like daemon tools, u need both daemon tools and YASU, and more than likely you may have to disable the your CD decices (will post back with more info when downloaded and tested).

I would say no. And I disabled CD drive via device manager.
yeah it was on nforce and then they took it off. I heard from one source it had a virus in it. Can anyone confirm if it is legit?

How can you download from rapidshare it only allows me to download one item per day with a free account ?
After youve downloaded a file, disconnect your internet, clear all temp files (use atf cleaner or the like) and then reconnect and you can download again.
even for people with a router and cable ?

they unpack to like 800 or so if you include all the graphics and sounds, but packed they are usually 600 +/-50

lol, just in case anyone is still wondering, yes this is football, the one where you kick the spherical ball.
I’d actually recommend peeps to buy this, I know it sounds crazy, but they’ll be patches soon and you’ll be having to wait for the cracks. It’s worthwhile to support Sports Interactive.

all i needed was to paste the yasu in the daemon tools folder, it seemed soo complicated at first
NETSHOW release does not work on Mac. It installs properly (you can mount it from the finder renaming .mdf to .iso), but when starting the app it recognizes that the CD is not original. The error message is “CopyProtection: Please insert original disc.”. Every kind of help would be appreciated,

Netshow release doesn’t work on PC either, it installs the game but detecets the daemon tools, even with using YASU. Yes, even with Daemon tools ver 4.09.
Proper version doesn’t even install on the computer.
All got left is the HATRED, which is reported to be full of errors.

hello everyone. downloaded the hatred torrent, unpacked it into one bin file and one cue file, right-clicked on daemon, chose drive and then the bin file, then unmounted. when trying to burn to disc or open a folder all i get is ‘program not responding.’ never downloaded bin or cue files before. am i doing something wrong or is the hatred download faulty? thanks.
This NETSHOW release does work! I scanned but found no viruses. I simply followed the instructions and using the latest Daemon Tools + YASU I was able to cloak the virtual CD and run FM08. I have just set up and played 2 games with no bother whatsoever.
I have already spent time playing the FM08 demo and I can honestly say that the game is not worthy of your cash – it is not that different from FM07 and many believe it is actually worse (myself included).

@46 – the data editor also works in the NETSHOW release!
@82 – Boris, do you have the latest Daemon Tools and YASU installed? Is the game installed? If so, before you can run it properly you need to add YASU exe to your Daemon Tools folder. Run YASU from there, select ‘CLOAK’ and then you should be able to run FM08.
Hey ppl i have the clonecd-netshow version and have followed the insrtuctions regarding yasu and daemon tools.
when i go to start the game i get the message “conflict with emulation software detected”
i have disabled my other cd drives and yasu says cloaking procedure completed also i have a virtual drive which shows fm2008,

Hi Everyone. Bit of advice here would be perfect! I downloaded the NETSHOW release and even after the use of YASU it still wouldn’t work.
I then turned to the HATRED release, and used the crack. The game appeared to be fine, loading up and thought i was in. But then when a game is loaded, the side bar that you always have on the interface wasn’t showing and i couldnt find anything ’skin’ related in the preferences, like their is a fault with the game.
All i want to do is get stuck in, but cant…its killing me! Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Open “NS-FM2008.rar” and extract the two files. The “.mdf” and “.mds” files are the images which you have to mount using Daemon Tools. Read the NFO.
And to everybody else, I just tested the FairLight crack on the NetShow version, and it works. Cheers

this is for steve above, its very simple and works as have been playing it. i take you have installed it all on?and burned all files to a cd?
all you have to do is go to start, my computer, drive you installed game ie:-c drive. click on program files and find sports interactive folder open this and should come up football manager 2008, then select your cd drive in another window to open football manager disk you have made. on the disk is the crack files one called fm and one called hatred, just drag these files into the football manager on your computer you opened earlier and it will ask if you wish to replace. click yes and all done. when you load game it will work.

Sigames claims that certain bugs appear on pirated copies only (like: bottom teams qualifying).
It is what I read on a website to use the game on Mac. One user said and another reported it’s working, but it is NOT WORKING for me. 2 more users said it is not working for them.

OK, I downloaded the hatred torrent version and got 31 “htd-fm08.rar” files and several “r-number” files. Call me dumb (Im a girl afterall) but I have no idea what to do next? Please, I’m begging you to help me!

I got the NETSHOW version, DTools 4.10 and YASU. Mount still not working. When I mont nothing happens.. Ideas?
YASU doesnt appear to be working. When I try to load it the secuROM thing tells me I am using an emulation program like daemon or alcohol 120%. I have followed all instructions from all over the net and tried many things myself but not working. Either Daemon or YASU doesnt work properly.
I’d guess it’s Yasu not working correctly, but hearing some success reports really drives me up the wall. If anyone reads this that has been lucky in getting Yasu and Daemon to work would you mind posting some steps and version numbers for everything? I’m not going to use a crack because the company has put in traps ruining the game if it’s cracked.

Okay I figured out my problem, it was my fault after all. If you have the same problem as I do (WinXP). Go into regedit, take a look at the mounted devices entry under LocalMachine/Software and right click that entry in the left hand menu. Click on permissions and make sure every possible account has full access to MountedDevices.
I downloaded the Hatred version from torrent, when I extracted the files only an internet shortcut came up sending to a page where I have to ring a premium phone line to get a password… is this normal? Bit of a rip if u ask me.

LOL at the YASU mac post. It shares the name with the pc tool but yasu on mac has nothing to do with it. Previous versions of FM worked by mounting the hybrid iso with toast, so maybe this one too. Either way, yasu for mac is doing nothing

I actually bought the game, used Power ISO to convert it to an ISO file, then burned it onto a cd. I then installed the game from the copied cd but when I clicked to run it I got the same problem as Ben. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Bingo. Original .exe will now run, thus sidestepping all of Si’s anti piracy measures.
Older versions of YASU don’t work, and it needs to be in DT directory – perhaps that is your problem?
Please upload the fm2008 nocd file in megaupload/rapidshare, but please change the extension from .exe/.rar/.zip into other extension like .001/.mmd/.etc . Cause I got Squid in my proxy and i cant beat him up

For those of you running the Clone CD – Netshow version, I was having the same problems as the other user with errors on detecting the wrong CD/DVD etc. All I did to fix this was to go to device manager and right click on the GENIUNE cd/dvd drive you have listed and just disable it. Then just run Yasu and then FM2008. Worked fine for me.
What I mean by GENIUNE is the CD/DVD drive that is in your system will be name LG, ASUS etc. This is your physical drive in your system and this one needs to be disabled.
For example, I have 3 drives in my system. 1 is a geniune BTC drive and the other 2 are from Daemon tools. These will also be listed under the drives in device manager. You just need to disable the realy drive, in my case the BTC one. Once I did this I just re-ran Yasu and then ran FM2008 and it worked.
Hope that is clearer.
I still cant get it working is there any point of me keeping or will i download the other one that you need the password for (which i had already downloaded but deleted as i couldnt find a password) and if i do download does any one know the password
@125 I’m talking about the entry in the registry editor, everyone using this release should check to make sure you have all permissions enabled on all accounts for the entry in the registry that I previously posted. @138 If there is a yellow exclamation mark in the YASU window when you try and cloak the mounted drives for the secuROM entries, you need to look up to my previous post on how to enable all permissions for the mounteddevices in your registry as that’s likely the problem.
Here, this might be better able to explain what to do, this person had a similar problem. This is ONLY a fix for people who get a yellow exclamation mark error when using YASU. If you get the error that says the game would work better in a different drive, go into the device manager and disable that drive, or all drives except the drive you’ve mounted the game on.

right. I mount image. Run Yasu, and it says cloaking procedure completed. then i go to my computer and double click on the L drive which i mounted it on…but it just goes to install anywere from macrovision and only extracts 50 mb of it. So it aint workin for me. The Netshow Version that is. I tried goin onto the device manager but my computer wont let me on it…says you are not aurtherises to run this program, and the admin of my computer!!. WTF!!
I have a problem with the game. I have installed the game, works fine and all good. I exit game and do something else etc, blah. When I come back to play the game, no shortcut on my desktop, so I look in program files, and no Sports Interactive files at all. I searched, and no launcher for the game is installed on my pc, just lots of ‘useless’ files. I have to uninstall the thing, reinstall and it autoplays but this is a pain. I am on Vista and when I try to auto run when it is already installed it ignores me and does nothing. Can anyone help?

You gotta love Vista, right Ian? I’m sticking with XP now until people get used to writing stable code for it. Anyways you should have a good look at your permissions and admin stuff, it can be an incredible pain. I have no idea where your disappearing files went.
Oh yeah, I LOVE Vista, ha! I love it about as much as having my eyeballs hacked out with a brick by a sadistic blind man. I really am sick of things not working on it. I have double checked and I am sure I have no way of starting this game. I don’t know what is going on. I am going to blame Vista as it always does something dodgy to ANY game I try to play, always a different problem with each different game. I NEVER had any problems with XP, damn buying a laptop with vista!!! It seemed such a great idea at the time……
I have downloaded the game but where do it get the Crack from?
Ye Gods, I’ve solved it. There is a stupid thing called ‘Games Explorer’ on Vista and the Footy Manager 2008 icon was hiding in there. Apparently FM2008 won’t install a desktop shortcut on Vista, although every other game I have has, so it’s all very strange. I suppose I will just have to get used to Vista.
can anyone help me. Ive installed it succesfully adn then when i try and play a new game it says ‘cannot load manager tactics’ or something along those lines. Does anyone know how to fix that? ive already tried re-installin it but tht doesnt help either. please help!.

MAC PROBLEMS – Hi I have the game and it has been working only on twice! The way it has worked is random I mount the .iso image with the mac tools and then have installed the game and then try running but 99/100 times I get “copyprotection please insert the original disk” error. Then randomly it will work, any ideas please?

I want mds file can anybody upload ? I downloaded already but I havent got mds file so I cant play 8.0.1
I tried everything that is mentioned here or on other sites, I still can’t get it to work. I tried the version with the mds file, then Daemon Tools and Yasu (newest version). It fails because of not meeting minimum requirements (that’s BS, I got a 2GHz Laptop with 1GB RAM and XP). Then I downloaded the “Hatred” version, unzipped it, burned the image into CD, installed, dragged the crack file(s) in the FM2008 folder and it says “wrong disc” and something with SKU03 and Benelux. This is frustrating. Any other idea?

i used CloneCD from NETSHOW.. HATRED and all releases available.. and all of it i could run the game.. my big problem is that..when i try to start a new game.. i just can´t start a new one from advanced option.. so .. i never can start a game with more than 3 leagues… if i click on advanced option.. the “continue” button keeps disabled.. i just can start a new game from wizard.. (i installed and unistalled the game 3 times.. and on 2 different pc)

hi guys, i think i might know hy some of you are having problems. Here is exactly what I did:
1.downloaded a file from bittorrent – a .mdf and .mds file – thats all, don’t know whether this is the same as the above one
2. Use the following tools:
– Daemon Tools 4.09 (4.10 is reported to NOT work)
– YASU (Yet Another SecuROM Utility) 1.4.7080 – get it here: http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_8.shtml#Y.A.S.U
3. First, mount the .mds file in Daemon Tools. Install the game and choose to not run the game after installation has completed.
4.Copy the YASU.exe file to the path where Daemon Tools is installed. Doubleclick the YASU.exe file to start the cloaking of Daemon Tools.
5.Find the location where you installed Football Manager 2008 to. Rightclick the .exe file, and set it to run as Administrator and set compatibility
mode to Windows 2000 or Windows XP (Windows 98-mode returned an “System does not meet the system requirements”-error when starting the game) – i am on vista and didn’t do anything here.
6. It should now bypass the security check when starting the game. If not, make sure you’ve read this file again – it worked for me using this procedure.
7. do not delete the .mds and .mdf files! i deleted them and ended up re-doing the whole thing before realising that the reason i got an error message was that i deleted these files
also sometimes you have to re-mount the .mds file everytime before you play
does anyone elses games crash in the same date everytime? mine does on december 25th 2009 everytime. is there anyone to solve this problem?

I downloaded the game using fmbuff torrent. I copied the crack into the game folder, the game starts, but after setting up the database/game i get a message saying “copy protection fail make sure the original dvd is inserted when you start playing” and the game closes”
