Food Inc. LiMiTED DVDSCR XviD-ARROW

It’s late in the year and time for some DVDSCRs. Here we have an interest documentary released today.  Food, Inc. is a 2008 American documentary film directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Robert Kenner. The film examines large-scale agricultural food production in the United States, concluding that the meat and vegetables produced by this type of economic enterprise leads to inexpensive but unhealthy and environmentally harmful food. There are some minor blurs on the video, and occasionally black and white screens. Check out the sample to check them out.

The film’s first segment examines the industrial production of meat (chicken, beef & pork), calling it inhumane and economically and environmentally unsustainable. The second segment looks at the industrial production of grains and vegetables (primarily corn and soy beans), labeling this economically and environmentally unsustainable. The film’s third and final segment is about the economic and legal power of the major food companies, whose livelihoods are based on supplying cheap but contaminated food, the heavy use of petroleum-based chemicals (largely pesticides and fertilizers), and the promotion of unhealthy food consumption habits by the American public.

To the people saying things like “what do you expect us to eat?”

You can still eat meat and veggies. You just have to get it from organic stores, and stores that promote free range meat.

For a vegetable to be classified as organic it can’t come in contact with pesticides or other harmful chemicals.

The surprising thing is the amount of people that don’t realise how food has been turned into something industrial, to be manufactured.

Since the 1950s food has become more and more nutritionally void – at least movies like this may open a few more eyes.

Great documentary! Everybody should know from where and how their food is coming to the table…the corporate industries have gone to extremes.

even if this documentary will “open our eyes”, we’ll just continue doing the same anyway. If it’s not illegal, then it’s possible. You can’t expect everyone to use organic food. We live in a world where everything has to happen fast.

@30 have you been in stores lately? are you aware how expensive organic food is? especially now when the green is popular, we’r not celebrities lol or these corporative crooks…

This is one of the most pathetic answer I have seen for this matter. Some people insist not only to be wrong but to be stupid.

@60. No it’s not. Remember Supersize Me? When that movie came out, everybody were going crazy about it, and the vegetarians were having a field day with it, and all seemed well in the world, now that there was a movie that exposed the greedy people behind big fastfood and it’s ill effects. Cue a couple of years later, we have all forgotten about the movie, and as a result, the ONLY thing that has proven to be truly recession proof, is, ya you guessed it: fastfood!
And what can we learn of that? absolutely nothing. We humans are designed with various traits, and laziness is one of them. Why do you think that we have evolved so fast and are able to do these amazing things with our hands, and are able to create these unfathomable ideas with our brains? It all goes towards one, single goal: to be able to live more comfortably, and not having to fight for survival every single day.

I don’t know, I may be wrong, ofcourse, but this is what I believe, so I don’t know… Whatever.

This is nothing but blatant propaganda funded by the organic food industry. Every single last one of the so called benefits of organic food have been disproven time and time again. It’s nothing more than a corporate scheme to make you buy overpriced goods in the name of being “green.” Your spirit is admirable but your cynicism still needs a little work. You’re far too easy to manipulate for profit. Stamping “natural” onto the packaging means absolutely nothing. For instance, malic acid is the same whether it comes from a beaker or an actual apple. However, the “unnatural” laboratory manufactured chemicals don’t need to have their ingredients wastefully hauled halfway across the world just to have most of their weight get thrown in the trash afterwards.

well i guess the movie is already working… people getting all heated up! I saw it last night and it does affect you.
YES, fast food is cheap (and unhealthy), that’s why most people eat it, but it’s good to know the details behind it.
The sad part is that you don’t see the rich and wealthy eating in a drive through… its only the poor and uneducated that bite the bullet. Anyways, I’m glad I live in California… Trader Joe’s all the way!
