Foo Fighters - Echoes Silence Patience And Grace (2007)

An American rock band Foo Fighters is one of my favourite music bands and it’s good to see another new album from them: Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace is the name of the album released originally for Japanese market but these differences vanish thanks to the scene and you can enjoy it even if you live on the other side of the world.

Japanese pressing of the 2007 album from Dave Grohl and his Foo mates features two bonus tracks: ‘Once & For All’ (Demo) and ‘Seda’. .Having commemorated their tenth anniversary with a year-plus run commencing with In Your Honor, sold out Rock arena shows and a toned down intimate theater trek, and a headlining gig at London’s Hyde Park for a crowd of 85,000, the question looms larger than any in the Foo Fighters’ career to date: What do they do for an encore?!? The answer comes in the form of the band’s sixth studio album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. Produced by Gil Norton, who last worked with the band on 1997’s double-platinum The Colour and The Shape (recently reissued in deluxe 10th anniversary form), Dave Grohl, bassist Nate Mendel, drummer Taylor Hawkins and guitarist Chris Shiflett have crafted a 12-track milestone that showcases and reconciles the band’s every strength and sensibility in the most complex and confident Foo Fighters album to date.

The Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed by musician Dave Grohl in 1995. The group is named after the World War II term “foo fighter”, used to refer to mysterious aerial phenomena. The band has earned a worldwide following, and have scored a number of hit songs, including “This Is a Call”, “Everlong”, “Learn to Fly”, “All My Life”, “Times Like These”, “Best of You”, “DOA”, and “The Pretender”. Two of their albums, There Is Nothing Left to Lose and One by One, won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album. On top of their six studio albums, they have also contributed to several movie soundtracks, including the song “The One” on the 2002 Orange County soundtrack.

generally the music listed is very recent but this is an exception, not sure why?

I never understood why people like them so much. Every time I see his face, I get a mild case of jaundice followed by nausea. I don’t even want to mention their music. There’s one other band that I dislike even more - Green Day!!! The state of them.

This album was leaked back in the summer/fall. The scene release (not Japanese) was released on 19.09.07 by HDP. And the Japanese version was released by an Oink member.

and the HDP release was nuked, and the FOOFiGHTERS release was the legit final release…. and this is the japanese import with bonus tracks that was never released in the “Scene” so far. But good album over all, it grows on ya after time more and more.

The music releases on rlslog are pretty much a waste of time. It’s all either old stuff or stuff that no one cares about.

I’d say just cut them out completely, or get someone to post that can bring the quality.

To all the idiots complaining about this release: read up rule #7 of the MP3 release rules. It’s three months after the original release and it has two bonus tracks, so a complete re-release is fine.
