Here we have Episode 03 of a “new” series called Flashpoint. To quickly sum it up for all our new readers: Basically its a television program about a special tactical team that rescues hostages, busts gangs, defuses bombs, and takes on other tough cases. Read about episode 01 and 02 here. If you ask me, its an interesting series, nothing special but still worthwhile to watch.

The Element of Surprise:
A reformed drug addict visits a dealer who owes him money, unwittingly putting his life at risk in the middle of an SRU takedown.

    lol… its set here in Toronto, Canada. Those are Toronto Police cars you see and S.R.U. is the Canadian version of SWAT. SRU wears the exact same uniform as in this show, same weapons, etc.

    I can’t believe this watered down, degrassi meets swat BS gets capped and Penn and Teller doesn’t. WTF!? And this isn’t just one week either. Flashpoint is getting capped like clockwork, while Penn and Teller is constantly one or two days late. If that wasn’t enough, the Penn and Teller caps have been invariably crap PD resolution as well.

    No respect! ;)

    show feels unrealistic to me. The very second that sniper stepped into the elevator in the first episode I knew I wasn’t gonna keep watching. For an op like that every sniper will have at least one spotter next to them. buildings around would be evacuated and at least 20 “SWAT” officers would deploy to the scene and set up a perimiter.

    This show is supposed to be set in canada, but they don’t mention it to pretend like its in the us.

    Furthermore in this episode it was the guys 3rd strike (no getting out of jail after 3rd felony as in california)
    we thankfully don’t have that in canada.

    Yah it’s done in where I live. If you look at the first episode of the season the subway stations that they show are the once that I go pass every morning to work. And this is Toronto Canada. A lot of things are filmed in Toronto b/c they are cheaper. For example latest Hulk movie was done right in front of my university. They put yellow taxi cabs and changed street names and made the whole block look like New York.

    to sum it up, they wait till an innocent boy gets shot (and then dies) instead of rushing in while the bad guy is in the bathroom flushing away the drugs .. GREAT JOB
