FXPing isn't just done by FXP groups. Couriers (like you mentioned) use it all the time, and they do actually contribute to the scene by making releases widespread. Most groups use couriers, and you'll even see some groups requesting couriers every now and then.

Anyway, I use FlashFXP all the time.

No one in the scene uses flashfxp, the only morons who use it are couriers and fxp groups, both of which have contribute zero to the scene. Most groups just use wget in a script with encryption.

flashfxp is probably most used for personal transfers, whereas ftprush is used for spreading releases as it works in union with many auto spread mirc scripts.

lefty: yeah, this is a real new version. I also checked their website and they really list little older version as the newest one, but this is absolutely normal in case of FlashFXP. It actually happens with many other applications, new versions are being released while there isn't a single word about them at the official website (WinAmp, Nero, etc are the same case)...

Monica: you are mixing 2 things together. You can't do any transfers between FTP and HTTP under normal circumstances. What you probably mean is copying HTTP file (.php, .htm, .jpg or whatever else) to your FTP server. That can be done by every FTP client. HTTP is used only for transfering files to the visitor's browser so he can see your page.

I like SmartFTP too. It also supports ftp-to-ftp (I'm pretty sure it does anyways) and it has tabbed connections, so you can connect to many servers at one time. This ftp is simply awesome!

FTP to FTP... that's cool.

is there any way to copy a regular HTTP file directly to my FTP server?
is there any program that does that?
