Flash Gordon S01E01 WS DSR XviD-W4F

W4F comes out with another release, this one seems to be super-popular to download. It has gotten over 1900 downloads on NTi TV section, which is above normal. The show is received quite terribly on the EZTV forums however, but you can read their complaints yourself. There is also a rip by SYS, I am not sure why SYS is making dupes of W4F’s releases lately. Flash Gordon is an American science fiction television series that premiered in the United States on August 10th, 2007, at 9pm with a special 90-minute premiere episode. The series began filming in Vancouver, Canada in May of 2007. The show’s first two episodes were written by executive producer Peter Hume. In this version of the series, Flash’s actual name is “Steven Gordon”, with “Flash” being a nickname.

Pilot: Flash wins a marathon, and uncovers a mystery involving his deceased father.

I’m tired of freaking americans stealing our nature! dammit stop faking your heritage when you’re filming in vancouver.

I can’t believe how gay this show is. I had to delete it after 5 minutes.

This show is so unspeakably bad, like a high-camp parody of the original show by the makers of Red Dwarf or something. Truly a study in how mind-numbingly awful tv can be. Can’t believe they ordered 22 eps, and cancelled Dresden to make way for it. I hear the death-knell for the Sci-Fi Channel …

the sys release is hdtv, w4f is dsr and pretty bad quality. you do know the difference between dsr and hdtv?
the sys isnt a dupe :)

  5. August 14th, 2007 | 05:23

heh, sometimes they just seem to meld together and I don’t notice the difference, no really DSR and HDTV is barely a diff unless you’re watching southpark then it makes a difference.

I watched about 3/4 of the show, being slowly bored and realizing it was just another crappy sci-fi doctor who random crapo-matic piece of garbage face. :) .

Lol… This is like Smallville… Minus the popularity, minus the drama, minus the plausibility, minus the facts and laws of physics and nature :D !

    ………………..

Amazingly boring with lifeless bad acting and useless writing – Makes Cleopatra 2525 look like a work of Genuis.

This is supposed to run for 22 eps – This is what The Dresden Files was cancelled to make way for.

How something this bad can get this far while great shows like Drice Dresden Files and the like get binned either after on season or after a couple of eps is crazy.

The critics are panning it tho so maybe someone will retool it or stop it now before its too late.

With something like tho Im sure the rights to make Flash Gordon cost so much investment we may be stuff with it.

With all the great shows about right now and in the past THIS is what they make?

Download only if you want to see the horror of bad sci fi..

    LOL quote

“heh, sometimes they just seem to meld together and I don’t notice the difference, no really DSR and HDTV is barely a diff unless you’re watching southpark then it makes a difference.”

There is quite a noticeable difference if on a bigger screen e.g. if you put onto a disk and watch on a 32+ TV screen. The DSR will become more pilexated and the HDTV if done well should be able to be stretched quite a bit. So in short if you can choose, choose the HDTV, but you will see most of the time DSR is released first, sometimes even days first e.g. Kyle XY, as the TV network show DSR first and HDTV at the weekend.

How low can this series get? Having begun its SciFi broadcast life in a hole deeper than the Mariana Trench, the latest episode sinks to even more impossible depths. And it does so with the weight of a stone searching for the limits of a bottomless pit.

Ironically entitled, “Ascension,” this plodding episode features disappointingly grounded Hawkmen that seem to spend most of their lives cavorting about in a Mongo suburb that looks a heck of a lot like the city dump.

When not making strangled screeching noises in a kind of sad and desperate attempt to sound bird-like, the Hawkmen perform a curious dance with steps evidently inspired by a Tourette’s sufferer burdened with a full bladder.

Flash, whose nickname really ought to be “Tedious,” follows rather than leads his band of bored actors from one ridiculous scene to another, along the way sharing the culpability of the incompetent writers.

Exhibiting a singular flair for the pedestrian, even the villains of this series cannot generate enough enthusiasm to utter even one marginally malevolent remark.

How low can this idiotic drivel go? Let’s just say that this show aspires to climb to the depths of mediocrity.

It’s unbelievable the contempt that the sci fi-fi channel has for its viewers. Their latest insult puts some ass clown in a members-only jacket traveling through a cheapo stargate. They should of used the one from the cancelled SG-1. It attempts to channel the 80s movie with the faux muscle car and Queen clips, but ends up giving us a retarded version of David Hassleholf in primetime.

The wealthy NBC Universal owns them so I’m not surprized their shooting for politically-correct mediocrity to push their tampon, garbage bag and caveman ads. How ’bout a viewerless scifi that buys nothing.
