hV brings us this documentary about snowboarding in a nice 720p format. I’ve never heard of this movie and wouldn’t expect an HDRip but here it is. Great video as you would expect and awesome DTS audio.

This documentary gives an up-close look at snowboarding’s origins and domination as the leading winter sport in the United States. A handful of snowboarding’s early pioneers (including Shawn Farmer, Nick Perata and Terje Haakonsen) and some of today’s sponsored superstars (Shaun White and Hannah Teter) prove just how difficult a sport it is, as they trek and board through the mountains of Alaska, some of the world’s most challenging natural terrain.

    I saw this movie a while ago, regular rip. It wasn’t that good, long and boring at time, but the last scene was awesome.

    Where do you live? texas? The season isnt over anywhere, it always goes to at least the end of april and if you are dedicated you can ride until may almost anywhere in the Northeast, nevermind colorado, utah, etc where you can ride till july if you like. lol n00b.

    @32 Yeah… it is. Funny that. For everyone’s reference: If you set winrar to ‘keep broken files’ at the lower left of the extraction dialog(default is off), it will keep the extracted mkv despite the CRC errors… and seems to play just fine in mplayer for me. I haven’t tried VLC, but since VLC seems to eat my CPU for lunch while trying to play 720p, i use mplayer for them. I just skipped through it to make sure it played.. it could very well have some glitches in it.. but for those who spent the time to download… salvage is possible!

    It’s under the Miscellaneous options in the Destination Path selection box. “Keep Broken Files”. Bottom right. WinRAR.

    yeah i downloaded the corrupte rars off this release
    first.descent.2005.720p.hddvd.dts.x264.repack-hvnot sure if it will work, probably have to download the whole thing again. But this time i done it on usenet took about half an hour.

    At the WinRAR extract window, select “Keep broken files”, as earlier mentioned, and ignore all errors. The video’s fine when played in Media Player Classic or VLC. Wonderful documentary.

    Since certain rar parts are corrupted, the “keep broken files” setting doesn’t remedy the problem…
    You will notice bleeps and glitches in audio.
    hV should’ve released a REPACK. This is so NOT like them… :-\
