First two cams of Pursuit of Happyness
Scene group Prevail released two new cams (xvid and vcd) of new drama Pursuit of Happyness. I don’t know if there was something wrong with people who learned me English, but I’m pretty sure there should be Happiness with “i” in the name of this movie – may be it’s some intention, exception or just a result of decent hangover, but it looks little weird. Anyway, this movie featuring Wilbur Smith in the main role doesn’t look bad, it entered american cinemas just few days ago, release dates for the rest of world are scheduled to late January. The rousing, true-life story of a single dad who went from living on the streets to working on Wall Street is brought to the big screen by superstar Will Smith, appearing for the first time opposite his real-life son Jaden Smith. Set in early-’80s San Francisco, the film charts the hard times and eventual comeback of Chris Gardner, a divorced salesman who wins custody of his son, but finds that providing for the two of them is a challenge in the increasingly unstable economic climate. He struggles to work his way from unpaid intern at Dean Witter to something more substantial, even as life continues to offer him setbacks.

The word “Happyness” in the title has been taken from the misspelling of “Fun Joy Happyness” on a mural children have painted on the Chinatown daycare center where Chris Gardner takes his son, Christopher. When Chris points out the mistake, Mrs. Chu replies that it is not important to the pre-schoolers how the word is spelled, only that they have happiness. This leads Chris to contemplate the inclusion of the concept of the individual’s right to “pursuit of happiness” in the Declaration of Independence, and how to pursue a happier, more emotionally secure childhood for his son, than his own had been.

Funny thing is I just went to go see the movie in theaters and someone wrote, “FUCK” right through it. So the line goes, “Mrs. Chu when are they going to paint over ‘Fuck’… and how many times do I have to tell you happiness is spelled with an I”
