Personally, I really like Opera. However, it isnt worth the incompatibility of half the internet…Most web pages look like they are toasty…Plus, with so many websites changing to mostly flash based, it is good to have a compatible browser. That is where Firefox beats Opera.

I have everything set so that it doesn’t do that, except the RAM- hogging thing but I have 2gig, so nothing to worry about there.

I like FF a whole lot more than anything M$ has put out, and it beats the crap outta Opera for me, too. So far I haven’t had any problems with it, and after I first read this post it auto-updated to 2.0.0.11 and I’m good so far.

The last update it did caused me to lose my themes, which made me a little mad, because the basic FF theme sucks hard.

Sadly v2 is a piece of crap ram hogging, new window opening and full of holes :/

v3 is much more improved and hopefully all the extensions will be compatable later on.

Does not Firefox auto-update for everyone else? Nothing against some Firefox love on the site… but just wondering why this was worth posting seeing as most people will get this automatically.

If anything FF3.0 is going back to it’s roots as it uses less memory and resources… yet is faster in every aspect.

Firefox has become the resource hog that was the original reason to ditch IE6, nowadays it’s no better than IE7, and you can bet v3 will be even worse with more bloated features

i use K-Meleon now which is significantly faster, and uses minimal resources – much happier
