I ditched Safari for Webkit (same code though)

Webkit nighlty builds are great, they already have what Safari 4 only will have for a long time now.

Minefield vs. Firefox 3?

Minefield is the code name that was used for the Trunk nightlies behind Firefox 3.0 for over a year until it branched a while ago. Now there is the 1.9.0mozilla Branch nightlies (3.0.x) and the bleeding edge 1.9.1 Trunk nightlies for Firefox 3.1 and both are still labeled Minefield when the 1.9.0mozilla Branch should probably be relabelled to the "Gran Paradiso" codename for Firefox 3.0, just like the BonEcho codename for Firefox 2.0 and 1.8branch nightlies so as to reduce confussion.

The Ubuntu made version is NOT the Final as it is based on the RC2 source. "RC#" is not added to the version number because it could end up being the Final release. It does look like the RC3 (was really a Mac release mainly) could be the final though.

Just because Opera had some things similar does Not mean Mozilla stole the idea(s) from Opera for Firefox. And Opera was Not the first to have Tabs and besides it is a MDI browser. Also since Opera is a Suite rather than a web browser, it would be better compared to the suite "SeaMonkey" (think Mozilla 1.7.x) at http://www.seamonkey-project.org/

Ubuntu update service has already pushed out 3.0. Looks like the production version as the previous installed version said beta 5 and this just says 3.0.

"Firefox 3 brings numerous new features... smart zoom that enlarges all web page content (not just text)"

Opera has had that forever. Funny how Firefox keeps getting it's "new" features from Opera. Restoring sessions after a crash? Been using that for years with Opera.
Add-on makers are also copying Opera features. Speed Dial anyone? It's time the makers of Opera get the credit they deserve.
