FinePrint PdfFactory Pro v3.17 Incl Keymaker-ZWT

Damn, what a slow day! I don’t remember such a boring day for months, almost no new movie releases appeared today. Anyway, here’s one application tip at least. PdfFactory Pro from Fineprint is a great tool which will save you a lot of work with creating PDF files. We all know there’s Adobe with their Acrobat, but this is so heavy and overpriced application, which doesn’t even allow you to do everything you want. Pdf Factory is way smarter: 2 MB utility, which installs itself as a next printer and allows you to print almost all documents you can imagine on this virtual printer. It will make a good looking, small-sized but high quality PDF file instead of printing of course. I personally use this application for years and am very satisfied with it, let’s give it a try too.

pdfFactory products offer a unique approach to PDF creation that is simpler, more effective and less expensive than that offered by other programs. With pdfFactory, a single mouse click is all it takes to create PDF files — at a fraction of the cost — that can be published on Web sites, emailed or archived.

FinePrint is a printer management utility that sits quietly in the background of the computer. Numerous controls allow printing of multiple pages onto a single sheet of paper, production of booklet-style documents, embedded letterheads, deletion of unwanted pages from print jobs and much more.

Product features:

  • Create PDF or print to paper: Only pdfFactory allows printing to paper or PDF without printing twice. Acrobat is not needed for printing.
  • Combines multiple documents into a single PDF: Increases the convenience of document delivery by having a single PDF that contains material from different sources. Just keep printing documents to pdfFactory and they will automatically be combined.
  • Preview: Allows quick, accurate previewing of the PDF, including up to 400% zoom, without saving the file first and without opening Acrobat.
  • Security: Encrypt and control access to PDF files
  • Font embedding: Ensures that the original fonts used in a document are displayed even if the reader of the PDF does not have the fonts installed on his or her computer.
  • Page insertion and deletion: Allows unwanted material to be deleted before the PDF is created. This is especially useful when creating PDFs from long reports, email and web pages.
  • Send via email: One mouse click sends PDFs through your default email program. Also copies PDF to clipboard for pasting into existing email.
  • AutoSave: Saves entire contents of pdfFactory sessions automatically so you can retrieve previously compiled PDFs.
  • Live URL Links: Customize links by line type, thickness and color to open Web pages and email addresses with a click of your mouse.

It is funny that many people still dont use this procedure to quickly create .pdf files. On Mac OSX 10+ u have “save as .pdf file” option whenever you want to print anything…. Guess microsoft still has a lot to catch up to – even having incorporated a bunch of Mac utilitities into vista already..

Gotta love the open source project PDFCreator -
a free feature-rich program that just keeps getting better and better.

Like many PDF creators, it functions as a postscript printer driver and is based on the amazing Ghostscript project:

#6 Which operating systems does doPDF run on?
doPDF currently runs on Windows 2000, Windows XP (32-bit), Windows 2003 Server and Windows Vista (32-bit). doPDF doesn’t work on the 64-bits version of Windows XP or Vista, on Mac (Mac computers have a built-in feature to create PDF files) or Linux.

    no 64-bit :-(

i agree with you, it is the best open source pdf creation program out there, and in no cost at all, comparing to adobe acrobat.

Sure… CutePDF is free but requires an additonal component (PS2PDF).

And Foxit is a PDF reader only. Excellent too, much lighter on disk space than Adobe’s Acrobat Reader.
